Hi Sam! I am a senior at Texas A&M University in Texas and just wanted to let you know that your videos are SO HELPFUL and I'm so grateful that you share your content with all of us here on youtube! You're getting me through the year thats for sure! So thank you!!!
Thanks - haven't we (at Swansea University Medical School) got a link with you guys at Texas A&M?
Sam Webster we do offer a study abroad program with you guys! I wasn’t aware of that till now!
Caroline just need to join that university...like to know more about it..plz contact me +254722465184 thanks.
Enjoying this, while recovering from my sudden vestibular neuronitis! :)
I cracked up at the hair cells "wheeeeeeeeee"
explained in detailed incredible way ! great job sir
Praise God. We are really carefully made.
Your videos are INCREDIBLE! Very nicely explained, not to mention that your humour is the reason why I spend a lot of time smiling foolishly at the computer screen. I have never enjoyed learning Anatomy as much as I do now, so thank you!
you make me love anatomy!
Hi Sam..i am a neurosurgery resident in India..i was always scared of this inner ear but now i think i am no more after watching your videos.
Your fantastic at this. Great cmmunicator.
WEEEEEEEEE, we're still moving. LOLOLOL. Cracks me up every single time! xD
Your videos are always so well done, really like how you make them :)
Could you please make another video about eye movements but more focused on voluntary eye crossing and/or forced independent eye movements please?
That's the only missing thing in your past eye videos, would be so great if you can make that.
(sorry if my English is not very good, I'm french...)
Thank you. Why forced independent eye movements? is that a useful topic for something? I should talk more about accommodation and convergence in the future some time.
Sam Webster Thank you for your answer :))
Yes it would be great if you talk about convergence, accommodation and also voluntary eye crossing
It's very rare but some people can move their eyes separately (voluntary, like crossing one eye while moving the other one) so if you know how they do it and why some people can and some not, please talk about this too.
You're the best teacher =)
I love you 💛💞🤩
Thank you so much
It is very interesting way to learn Anatomy...❤
Greetings from México. I find this video quite informative and engaging. Best wishes to your quest in teaching endeavours.
In 24 hours 5 years ago my goat head butted me in my right eye, then I lost my balance and fell off my bed backwards! Landed on my treadmill with my right ear, head, jaw area. I've been suffering from disabling vertigo every since! I've seen dozens of Doctors in my state in the USA and no one has help me... I've been following you for months because I'm fascinated by the body... today is when I'm seeing vertigo stuff! Help me please I beg of you!
i have a presentation tomorrow on the inner ear anatomy , your explanation really helped me hope i do well with my presentation
How did it go?
i wowed my ENT consultant , thanks a lot. @@SamWebster
Sam, thank you so much for all of these amazing videos. I couldn’t have hacked my head and neck anatomy course without them. Is there anywhere we can make a financial contribution towards your channel as a sign of gratitude and thanks? Also, do you have a video about pharyngeal arches and/or embryology? I seem to recall that you wrote a book on embryology? You have many adoring fans in Australia!
Dr Sam u missing one other important part of the ear called Vestibular Amourantus aka Amouranth ASMR😂😆🤣
Wonderful, except that all your illustrative head movements and gyrations trigger my vertigo, which is what brought me here in the first place :)
Thank you, Sir! It was funny and so well explained
A fluid suspension system equipped with crystal weight ability to activate sensory cells as to relative position and movement. A three dimensional information pickup to provide data at command central.
A bit akin to a gyroscopic directional control system or autopilot onboard an aircraft instrumentation package.
thank you for the energy and passion and everything we learn from you freely ! thank you as always
Thank you - just had my first bout of BPPV and now I know what was going on!! Beautiful description of the anatomy and physiology, it almost made up for the nausea and dizziness :O
you are a hell of a fantastic teacher!!!!!!!!! i'm myself one for 30 years!!!!! thanks
فتبارك الله أحسن الخالقين
You really are a genius, thank you

Awesome explanation, thanks a lot! Do you think that, and if yes, in what way, the cochlea (the 'hearing function') and the vestibular system (the balance function) are exchanging information/liquids with eachother? Could it be that endolymph or perilymph from the cochlea could flow into the semicircular canals for example? I'm curious to know how hearing and body movement/balance influence eachother!
Styloid process prominent just below temporal bone structure. Gyroscopic effect of fluid picked up via semicircular duct system. Encased in hard bone just outboard of brain containment cavity.
Hard bone in area to increase accuracy of perception of movement even in total darkness.
Hi Doc ! Can I ask something about my ears ? I washed it every night during taking a bath , the next day I can feel my ears heavy with dry flakes ! What is the cure ?
that ear model is out of control
Love your videos. I’m starting to study medicine in Cuba and I’ve learn things with you that I couldn’t get after hours with my books. It’s a little bad to me that I can’t share your videos with my partners because of the language problem and even with subtitles isn’t the same. I don’t use to write comments but I’m really thankful for your job
the goverment should replace you with all the money and funding that goes to pediatric psychiatry to start educating people
Great lecture, at first feels the pace is kind of slow but the repetitions actually helped to understand and digest the subject matter involving 3 canals plus associated structures. Very well done, than you professor Webster.
Awesome sir you have an incredible power of explaining such complicated things so easily🙏
i would've liked some explanation of the magic/physics
