I have no idea how long it takes to collect your thoughts, write the review, and then convert it into a poem. It has to be a lot of extra effort, but it was so so very good.
I love it so much when Dan does something wacky and silly. This review had me cracking up every few seconds. A+ poem from the big man. Absolutely can’t wait to see this one in theaters.
This poem format is so cool! You really are the gift that keeps on giving, Dan. I was worried that u wouldn't get your full thoughts when I saw the time stamp was so small, but you managed to fit in so much succinctly in your rhymes. Happy Holidays!
That review was pure delight! I loved the movie - saw it last night! I giggled and smiled as the heads were a-toastin! You're killing it, Dan! Never stop posting!
Thanks Dan! I saw the trailer months ago, and immediately wanted to watch this. But life got busy, and I forgot all about it. So both the reminder and the glowing review were just what I needed! Merry Christmas, man.
Dan, this is movie reviewing at its finest, transformed into an art form. Or maybe it’s always been art and this is just a beautiful meld with another medium. But this is beautiful and why you’re the best movie reviewer out there atm, because you don’t only review the art- you imbue your own touch into it. Beautifully done!
Just got back from it... Loved it! A film I was psyched for, and did not let me down in the slightest. Lots of fun easter eggs throughout, my favorite was that the catering company was Farkus and Dill (referencing the two bullies from 'A Christmas Story'. This film needs to be seen!
I love David Harbour but I can't handle violent, bloody movies anymore, i'll check this one out at home where i can pause and fast forward through some stuff.
I think this is my favorite Dan review simply from the sheer creativity of it. Dan, Dan, Dan, Dan..........THAT........ is how you do it! Great job brother. Happy Holidays!
I thought the trailers seemed promising, but I didn't really have any intention of seeing this in cinemas. This review now changed this. Thanks for going the extra mile with the poem, much appreciated! 🙂
Thought about skipping this, but after this review, if it is still around in 2 or 3 weeks, I might check on it. Too many other movies to compete for my AMC pass.
Thanks Dan! Loved the poem, loved the review - and now can’t wait, to give it a view! Seriously, there are few takes on movies I trust more than yours these days. Hope you have a great holiday season!
Saw this film with my wife on Thursday. It was ridiculous from beginning to end (in a good way), however, it did have select flashes of heart and soul. I enjoyed the brief glimpses of the man Santa Claus was prior to becoming Santa Claus--we could have used more of that. It's also surprisingly gory. Every time John L showed up, I kept thinking all he wants for Christmas is a starring role in Super Mario Bros, but even Santa can't deliver that, can he? It was also good to see Beverly DeAngelo again--though she's old AF. On a side note, they had a preview for Elizabeth Banks' new gig "Cocaine Bear." I said to my wife: "Wife, Elizabeth Banks' is missing out on a grand opportunity here. She should have named the film: Cacao Cacao Bear Bear, Blow Blow.
i'm really looking forward to seeing Violent Night, but i have to point out that it's not the only film where Santa kills someone with a Candycane since it happens in Santa's Slay with Bill Goldberg.
I agree this could have trimmed about 10 or 15 minutes, but I had a nice joy watching it. Gonna be fun to watch alongside "Fat Man" for fightin Santas in the future for me.
Nice Christmas poetic review, Dan. I loved this movie. And I did buy it on digital VOD, but now I also want to see it in the theater and probably will this week. Thanks for the ho ho ho chuckle. And this rabbi agrees with Mara: lots of great Christmas spirit in this movie. I still don’t understand how the Christmas magic works. But it does. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
Thanks Dan for an exceptional poem. You were like Alonso on this one, as he loved it with a 9 and Christy Lemire disliked with a passion of 4. You should watch their imitation of Siskel & Ebert. I will check out later today and report back. Have a great weekend to all.
Great Poem Dan. Really enjoyed the movie, though I felt the movie had been hinting towards something that in the end was unresolved, I had lots of fun. Recommend 10/10 Will watch this every Christmas
This movie reminded me a lot of Krampus. Both were not bad in any sense, but left me wanting a little more. The crass movie with surprising heart element didn't quite click as well as Happy or Bad Santa or any Shane Black entry. I would give it a solid 6/10. Good, but not sure if I could recommend or would watch again.
A dark and bloody action movie with heart. Seriously one of the most fun movies this year. I just saw it, and I loved it! My only complaint is that I wish they brought the reindeer back in sooner, and Skull Crusher.
Hahahaha, that was great! Already wanted to see it, now I might make the effort to go opening weekend! Here's hoping it surpasses my favorite Christmas horror comedy, "Rare Exports."
Just got back from seeing this. It is at the same time so wholesome and yet so violent. Great dichotomy. Highly enjoyed myself and laughed aloud a bunch.

Weren't you paying attention? It was Santa Claus who converted Dan's review into a poem.
Literally just got out of the theater! I loved it! Is it perfect? No, but it’s everything I wanted it to be, and I cannot get enough of Edi Patterson

Happy Holidays!
Don't ever change, Dan. 😁 I love the holiday spirit!
That review was pure delight!
I loved the movie - saw it last night!
I giggled and smiled as the heads were a-toastin!
You're killing it, Dan! Never stop posting!
Just amazing Dan! Welldone! Can a review become a Christmas classic?? I think so!
Haven’t seen the movie, but love the review Dan! Brilliantly written and I laughed heartily at “blueish / Jewish” 😂
Thanks Dan! I saw the trailer months ago, and immediately wanted to watch this. But life got busy, and I forgot all about it. So both the reminder and the glowing review were just what I needed! Merry Christmas, man.

I loved this review so much
Bro I love your channel, never change. I love the genuineness of your takes
The Mara joke slayed me mostly because of how proud you seemed of your own joke. 😂
You mean it... sleighed... you.
@@natejones4590 🤣🤣🤣💀
Flex those Honest Trailer writing skills, Dan! This movie wasn’t on my radar but now it most certainly is.
This was unexpected and amazing. Never change!
LOL Bravo, Dan! Bravo! Happy holidays to you and yours (and chat too ^^). Thanks for this superb review. Will check it out ^^
A poem review!? Above and beyond, Dan!
Dan this was absolutely incredible! Great reinvention of the classic review format.
Thanks for the poetic review Dan! Can it stack up with the Christmas Classic Die Hard? If it's half as good, it should do well.
What a fun review! already excited to see this asap!
Phenomenal review, Dan!! I saw the movie last night and your poem/thoughts are spot on.
I think this is my favorite Dan review simply from the sheer creativity of it. Dan, Dan, Dan, Dan..........THAT........ is how you do it! Great job brother. Happy Holidays!
This was kind of fun, actually! Thank you Dan for the review (and Santa for helping with the rhymes!).
I loved this movie. I want a funko pop of Santa and Skullcrusher!
This was absolutely amazing, never stop being you Dan, my favourite RUclipsr
Videos like this are why I subscribe to this channel, thanks Dan!
Way to go the extra bit with your review Dan 🤟
what a lovely rewrite from Mr. Klaus!
As always amazing review Dan.
I thought the trailers seemed promising, but I didn't really have any intention of seeing this in cinemas. This review now changed this.
Thanks for going the extra mile with the poem, much appreciated! 🙂
That was amazing. All reviews must now be done in rhyme, for the lols
Dan, thanks for the effort, as always your reviews are great.
If you say go watch it in theaters, I’m gonna go watch it in theaters
This review needs to be submitted for some kind of awards consideration.
Amazing video the poem was so well written
Violent Night was my favorite movie I saw in 2022 in theaters. Also you're the best movie reviewer on RUclips. This format is amazing.
This was great Dan! Cackled at the Mara joke, glad that this one is a recommendation
Dan, Another great review as Always!😂 Keep up the good work 💓😘
That home alone line towards the end… I see what you did there. 😁
Great poem Dan. Nice way to do the review. Look forward to watching this now too.
Instant Christmas classic.
1) Die Hard
2) Violent Night
3) Batman Returns
Pretty amazing review man. cheers! I loved "Fatman" a couple of years ago. i hope i love this one too!
Don’t ever give up the RUclips, Dan. You’re one of the best on this platform. I feel like with you, you would bullshit anyone. Keep being you man.
Brought a tear to my eye! the movie was a riot to see in theatre with a crowd, absolutely agree!
That smile from Dan is enough for me to watch Violet Night
Great Review Mr.Murrell
Always great, Dan!
Perfect! Great review with a poem. 😂 you’re a legend Mr Murrell.

Nice poem!!!
Haha love the moving the the review into a Christmas poem! Well done
You deserve an Oscar for that performance
i'm really looking forward to seeing Violent Night, but i have to point out that it's not the only film where Santa kills someone with a Candycane since it happens in Santa's Slay with Bill Goldberg.
Absolutely Brilliant!!!
Thank You, Dan!
Cheers 🥂 Dan! Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
That was beautiful, Dan, thank you 😊
Wait, that's the real Santa in universe? I thought it was just some guy dressed as him. Like a down on his luck mall Santa. Hm, ok.
This is the best review for this movie there could be!
This was really great Dan!!! A different approach that was thoughly enjoyec
Left the theater and saw the review was up, totally agree fun if not spectacular movie. Review format was clever for sure.
Thanks Dan for an exceptional poem. You were like Alonso on this one, as he loved it with a 9 and Christy Lemire disliked with a passion of 4. You should watch their imitation of Siskel & Ebert. I will check out later today and report back. Have a great weekend to all.
Dan… that was brilliant. Thank you. My girlfriend and I are seeing it this weekend, so I’ll show her this video tonight.
Sidenote - Klaus is an absolutely fantastic movie. A must-see. It deserved an Oscar.
Awesome review, thank you Dan.
Great Poem Dan. Really enjoyed the movie, though I felt the movie had been hinting towards something that in the end was unresolved, I had lots of fun. Recommend 10/10 Will watch this every Christmas
Cool a review! I assume this means Disney didn't drop another trailer. :)
I love this review so much
I saw the trailer the other day and I had the biggest WTF smiling face. For sure I'll watch it and spread the joy!

Oh, count me in, I'll watch this on the big screen tomorrow!!!
A dark and bloody action movie with heart. Seriously one of the most fun movies this year. I just saw it, and I loved it! My only complaint is that I wish they brought the reindeer back in sooner, and Skull Crusher.
Wonderful review Dan! I loved every bit of it
Hahahaha, that was great! Already wanted to see it, now I might make the effort to go opening weekend!
Here's hoping it surpasses my favorite Christmas horror comedy, "Rare Exports."
Best movie review in the form of poem that I've seen and I don't think it will be easily topped.
Good stuff, Dan! Always cheering here for you!
Great job with the poem 👏. Saw it last night and had a ball lol.. Lots of slaying and pretty funny too...
Glad David Is Getting More Roles In Hollywood because he's awesome.
This is unfairly impressive. Snoopy at the end is one of the best cameos of 2022.
Just got back from seeing this. It is at the same time so wholesome and yet so violent. Great dichotomy. Highly enjoyed myself and laughed aloud a bunch.
“Blueish” and “Jewish” is some nice Rhymage 😂
Dan!!!! That was great! this isn't really my kinda movie.....but I think I'm gonna go see it because of the poem!! Well done!!
Glad to hear it's a recommendation, looking forward to this
Saw it this afternoon. This is going to end up being a yearly Christmas tradition watch.
Im LMFAO!!!!!! BAHAHAHAHA 🤣 love ya Dan, def worth the wait! Gonna see it next Thurs!
Dan, this video is a GIFT. Thank you for the belly laugh.
Dan! You didn't do the chest salute thing in your closer! It brings me so much warmth! 😫
Love the Christmas poem.
Lol dude this is exceptionally well done. I was looking forward to checking this movie out, so I'm glad to see it gets a good review from you
Hmmm, more bloody than Anna and the Apocalypse (my own favourite Christmas movie)?
Glad it’s good. Hoping to watch it next week in the cinema
This was delightful, Dan! Thank you!!! 🎄🎅🏼
(I loved the surprise appearance by Snoopy!)
That blueish Jewish joke was funny. It really got me. ❤
Welldan Dan, refreshing and cool review!
You are just too good at the movie review game. I know exactly what this movie will be and im so pumped to go see it.
