Try mixing a 8 ounce can of crushed pineapple that has been completely drained...a cup of coconut and a cup of chopped pecans to a yellow cake mix ..it makes a wonderful tropical flavored cake
Everything looks delicious 🤤. That's impressive getting all that baked and the amount you made is good also. It's cold and raining in SA now I feel like baking. God bless you all ❤.
Lovely baking girls, I remember the fairy bread when we lived in Australia we use to have it often & even now at 61 I sometimes have it. Thanks for sharing x
The homemaker / home baker enters the chat so the 'round' balls are hundred's and thousands the small sticks are 'sprinkles' and in the USA I believe they are called "jimmies'
In a plain cake mix I will often chop up a can of peaches that have been drained pop a spoonful into some of the syrup with icing sugar for the topping and a small piece of peach on top yum.
Where I live in the US we can get chocolate "sprinkles" if we go out to an Ice Cream shop (probably at the store too but I've never looked). They are called Jimmies. The other ones we called sprinkles. I don't know why but there are a bunch of reasons the come up when I google it but its not even for my area. So its a mystery!
You can add fresh or dried blueberry, or poppy seeds to the lemon batter to jazz them up. And with the vanilla you can add leftover mashed pumpkin and chocolate chips. We love that combo.
Savoury muffins are great for lunchboxes. I make a similar recipe but include sweet corn kernels and a nugget or two of thawed out frozen spinach to the carrot and zucchini.
Sprinkles. Custard powder is not used like you did but cake mixes sometimes come with pudding in it. Icing doesn't come with the cake mix either. Comes in a tub and isn't that good. Fresh made like you did sounds much better
These look great! I would have to use gluten free mix for my coeliac child so he can join in with his siblings. (Sometimes they don't even know the cupcakes are gluten free which is great!)

Jimmies is actually a regional name. Mostly on the east coast. On the west coast we say sprinkles.
