@@agera369 Well I wish it has many combos. It's true, you don't have to learn all of the combos and I never said that you had to. To me I've been playing fighting games since a little kid I find more combos to be fun and I think most people would agree I guess, I mean imagine a game were you button smash versus a game with combos. Also I personally don't like combo spamming that's why I learn most of the combos because I don't see the fun to that, imagine having a big list of combos to do and you only do 3 or 4, playing like that you only have to time the attack and block, I would get incredibly bored pressing the same button layout again and again and again. Also I THINK it's going to have less combos only because of experience, it just seems to be that way and I could be wrong. And last but not least i believe that it is all about combos, for the same reason I said before, have you ever done a 10 hit combo in MK or Tekken? It feels fcking good to pull it off. Even tho I'm more of combo based fighter games I do also see the fun in Smash Bros for example it's simple and extremely fun. And for last I do all this combo-talk because the game looks that way.

I love the Riot business model of making the best possible game in every genre. I've always had an itch for fighting games but never had one to really grip me. Super hyped for this, as well as the MMO.
My only worry about this game is combo length. For me their is nothing worse than being stuck in a combo for an actual minute. I think what makes fighting games fun is doing high level mixups and reads and not just memorizing a long combo. Like I know this game isn’t gonna have skull girls level bs where you can actually set your controller down and take a nap before your opponent finishes their combo but I’m still worried that the combo length might be frustrating especially for newer players.
I have to agree with this. While I like that it seems like there's going to be a lot of cool mixup potential in Project L, it's definitely going to be frustrating for newer players to get stuck in a long combo every time they fail to block or guess a mix.
Hopefully the matchmaking will be good enough, and the game will be popular enough, that newer players will get matched with other newer players who also don't know how to do long combos
@@raiyu2292that's the same with every fighting game, there's not much they can do for that without stripping the game of what makes fighting games fighting games.

As a TO for games and somebody who organizes locals and events the BIGGEST deal-breaker with this game is two fold. Two questions that desperately needed to be answered. If either of these questions are a no then this game isn't worth the time to invest as it's extremely troublesome to organize events. 1. For Online events... Does this game have rollback netcode? (Confirmed yes. Person who invented rollback netcode is working on this. Good to know! Thanks commenters!) 2. For Offline events... Can this game be played completely offline, without any logins, separate online accounts or online confirmations? no.2 especially. It's especially impossible to setup for a local in good time and reliably. I'm not going to go to each of my setups that i own, create a separate riot account and then setup a internet connection for each and every setup WHICH HAS TO BE CHANGED AT EVERY EVENT THAT I GO TO!

And for last I do all this combo-talk because the game looks that way.

dont play much of fighting games. (assuming its f2p on pc) but, ngl im really loving how the art looks, and the gamplay so far. im definitely going to at least try this out, and hopefully love it!
It is f2p and it will be on pc
I need play this right now, it's so amazing.
Using an entire bar for a parry chance is kinda punishing
I don't like your partner helping while dead, but if it's a 2v2 you gotta keep the player in the game somehow
There're good concepts if done correctly, it can be really good
Hope the EVO feedback can do good stuff
The parry thing isn't really punishing, you get refunded if you parry and get to hit them too.
@@dddaaa6965 Refunded if you parry
As soon as you play against somebody not mashing, you can literally waste a bar and get comboed for it
It's huge risk, mid reward at best
Might not get used at decent level, unless the attacks are slow and easy to parry, then it'll be strong
Imo it's kinda flawed at base, hope they can make it work, cuz parries are great in fighting games
@@dddaaa6965 Ah ok, so its really high risk high reward.
@@dddaaa6965 It is really punishing if you fail, but it seems like a good enough reward otherwise, so it balances out
I'm hoping we can do tag team in a 1v1, let me control 2 characters. I don't want to be locked to 2v2s
Good Luck, Team Project L! Nice that it's 2v2 so that Support Champs can also shine!
support champs dont have much to do with the 2v2 aspect tbh
@@mentholnewport The idea is not all character will be designed around combo and damage. Some support character could provide control, or setup for the combo character

finally me and my friend can into using yasuo yone in another game
"...And today we announce our newest dlc character, Yuumi! On her own, yuumi doesn't have a lot going for her, and her normals are very stubby and weak. To compensate for this, we dig into her unique mechanic, book. There will be a book over your ultimate meter that gathers pages as time goes on. When you use an assist, you can press one of the special buttons to use one page and fire the opponents tag partner at them like a missile, dealing damage to both of them. The book can have 3 pages at a time, meaning you can save up for some nasty combos!" -project L team 2046

Draven in this artstyle would be so king they really need to add draven imagine the unique axe catching while fighting they could come up with.
Tbh I really want this to be fully keyboard accessible, so many fighting games are controller heavy and didn’t even think about keyboard when developing
Keyboards are actually good for fighting games. Low key superior to controllers.
@@DavidSchleigh exactly what I mean, Inputs feel so much more precise, but do many fighting games aren’t built for keyboard, e.g. dragonball fighterz
Estou empolgado com a notícia de que a comunidade do League of Legends está vindo para os jogos de luta! if annie is in it, i would legit want her to use tibbers as her main source of atk. he'd have her on his shoulder/back and she can still spell cast. like nunu and willump
Puppet character PTSD
Reminds me of the Persona characters from BBTAG
They had Annie in the first fighting game they ever developed that was only released in China
or she can be like bedman? and delilah from GGST, but make her actually do attack instead of just standing by like delilah on one of her moves
Just play that jojos bizarre adventure fighter if you want that kind of dynamic
Thanks! Now I can go back to playing Project L
I'm just so excited for this game, oh my god!!!!
I love the Riot business model of making the best possible game in every genre. I've always had an itch for fighting games but never had one to really grip me. Super hyped for this, as well as the MMO.
They make difficult genres accessible to more casual players, which is a good thing. Brings new blood into the genre
You should let us download & play the demo version.
I’ll have to play it first to see how long they are on average
@@raiyu2292that's the same with every fighting game, there's not much they can do for that without stripping the game of what makes fighting games fighting games.
Long combos are not a defining feature of fighting games so I'm not sure what you mean. There are plenty of fighting games that are successful without them.@@the-fridge-raider
i do wish they would have been able to get the original voice actors but still IM SO EXCITEDDDD

Thanks commenters!)
Bro these people im pretty sure made roll back net code first either way they said they have it and i believe offline play should be possible
Bro Tony Cannon invented rollback netcode 😂
