- In Starfield you’re going to come across many choices throughout your playtime that can alter the fates of various characters and factions. But, there’s also a handful of choices available to the you, that you may not have even known about. So here are 7 secret choices you didn't know you had in Starfield.

The 2% from kids stuff caps at 500 credits a week. I almost want to go ask them "do ya need more?"
It's crazy, 500 creds is a beer and a sandwich. How do they survive off that? How good is the Dad at gambling? I mean I know he wins you a ship but it's crazy to survive off that.
You send them 5% or 10% and they get a better house

@@tomsmith6379 Based on how other characters talk, it sounds like 500 creds is actually almost a small fortune. For the player they treat creds as if they were mere pennies, but some of NPCs talk about getting entire meals for a single cred.
@@GremlinSciences it almost feels like everyone is over charging the P.C at that point then.
For the crimson fleet questline you can join them in a 3rd way, if you reject the uc offer to be a mole, you will serve time but after that when u emerge from cydonia, someone will approach you to join the crimson fleet. This way you don’t have to report back to the vigilance when ypu join the crimson fleet
You can also pretend to agree then stand up and shoot your way out which clears your bounty as well, and then the same person approaches you

Another reason to pick Kid Trait (if you're a sci-fi fan): the father is voiced by Tim Russ (aka Tuvok) and the mother by Nana Visitor (aka Kira Nerys).
There is another Star Trek actor as well. Walter Stroud is voiced by Armin Shimmerman who played Quark in DS9.

In the Mission Entangled:
When you near the end of the mission, all the mission markers are leading you to turn the experiment off. Doing so will make whatever world that you're in at the time the experiment is turned off the permanant version of the base.
However... in the working light world, next to the computer in the control room, you'll find a tablet that states you need to set an offset of X frequency. Also in the light world, outside of the control room a level down, is the body of the engineer you met in the dark world. This is where he DIDN'T make it, but he has another tablet on his body that tells you how to calibrate the machine.
If you do this both in the light world and the dark world, and get the offset correct, and conclude the experiment instead of shutting it off, you get a secret ending in which you and the engineer in the dark world are pulled to the light world, the experiment is shut off, you get the artifact AND you get the chance to hire a named NPC to your crew.
During the Freestar Rangers sidequest:
Near the end of the quest line, you come up against the person who engineered the whole thing of mercs pressuring farmers for their land. Not gonna say who, cause that'll ruin the story. This I can't confirm, but our choices at this point are either take a bribe, or try to arrest the BBEG, and thusly you have to kill him. I did the just way, and wound up killing the guy. But... what if you stun him instead with a Nova Rifle? Can that resolve the quest without killing anyone or taking a bribe? Or does the game force you to kill him?
Been a while since I did that quest, but I did try to stun him and hist guards (at least one is named) using an EM rifle plus stun mines with no luck. Though I don't think I tried to stun everyone and leave, but I doubt that would change the quest status. There's another quest line where you're supposed to take everyone out, but I used stun mines left and right to avoid killing anyone, but the game doesn't really recognize that either.
The quest marker just stays on him even though he is stunned. Doesn't go to the next step in the quest until he is dead.
@@itstrab I figured that would be the case cause the quest also tells you to kill his body guards even though you could just run away. The quest likely wouldn't advance in that case either.
I was amazed at how the Marshal of the Freestar Rangers took it all in stride, his new deputy wiping out an entire military unit and killing a VIP. Just another day's work?
This is one of the examples of where Bethesda REALLY dropped the ball. A NON lethal solution to dealing with criminals, like bounty hunting. Jesus, even in the wild west they, more often than not, brought their bounties in ALIVE.

I forget what system it was in but I came across a ship drifting through space that was just a huge party. Multiple decks of people getting wasted and dancing and having a great time in zero G. It's things like that that flesh out the world for me, just random entertaining encounters.
I need to find that ship and drop them off a crate of my Off-World Aurora
I enjoyed partying with them... but the evil in me had to do it...
I found a ship full of tourists that asked me if captains like to "dock in any port"

I got recruited by Sysdef because I didn't realize I had contraband on me when I jumped back to Jemison. I had picked it up while wiping out spacers on a random moon 😂

@@DIGITALGH05T I hadn't gotten that far. I'm the guy that goes straight to exploring after the intro and don't get to any major place of interest for 15 or 16 hours.
Took a Ecliptic ship but didn’t search first and had mech and body parts on it.
shot dudes and got on board they went up into space with me on board, took ship from pilot, went back to jemison to switch ships back, got caught with their contraband. This happened on the world myeong and the UC are trying to save the freestar rangers.. Wont lie it wove its way together nicely.. All off a distress signal from pvt mahony lol
The Astral Lounge is a good spot for our parents to go, it's filled with a bunch of 60 year old NPC's dancing, looks like an old age home dance party.
Where else are they gunna spend all that money you give them every week.
Top secret choice in Starfield: You can use thrusters when flying your ship.

@@arcanumelite4853 Honestly, it might be a secret in the sense that I thought booster and thruster were the same thing. In fact, I still don't know exactly how to use the thrusters and I never used them. I don't recall the game ever explaining the difference and a lot of players might not know what the difference is. I just checked in-game the bindings in the spaceship... and there is no button for thrusters listed. So, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of players don't know about thrusters.
@@octavianpopescu4776 thrusters are used by holding space... this allows you to move your ship in any direction not just forward and backwards... you can move side to side with thrusters.

05:21 UC SysDef is not the UC's version of the CIA. They are as public and open as the UC Navy and as every military outfit, they do not publish their current operation plans on via SSNN. There is a UC Intelligence Agency called AEGIS and there is at least one little mission you can do for them. If you missed them so far, have a little tour of MAST HQ. I assume there will be more missions at some point ...

When I found the pale lady ship the captain was the only one dead and the rest of the crew talked as robots and Barrett got mad when I shot one it was way creepier than the whole crew dead

6. That's exactly what happened on my playthrough, tried to negotiate, then shot him. I have since gone back to the ship, had to clip through a door to get back in, but then cleared the place out and killed everyone including Petrov and got his unique space suit, then had access to the door I had to clip through, opened it and left. Shame I couldn't take the ship over.
Keep checking in on your parents in game , i got armor, a ship and some other gear from them

It is a strip club when that one bug happens. It takes days for the NPCs to put their clothes back on.
It actually would make sense for Neon City to have strip clubs, casinos and brothels to go along with the other seedy stuff already there. Maybe also a seafood restaurant. 😉
Considering how much woke stuff was put in the game, I'm actually surprised that there isn't another nightclub in Neon that features a drag show. Also there are no bathhouses. There are also no nutjobs activist groups protesting the fishing industry. 😆
You left out the elder scrolls references in New Homestead on Titan. The museum has a scroll holder whose history is lost to time.
For the end game joining the crimson fleet is a bad idea, as all the crimson fleet are then friends, so you don't get any more fighting when you discover their secret bases etc
Yeah, that sucked. That's why I went with UC in the end. My favourite part of the game is drilling pirates in the bases.

I’m hoping there is an Event Horizon reference somewhere in the game. But I doubt they will go that horrific. Eldritch horror would be fun to see also. Like a huge being in the outskirts of the settled systems/maybe a DLC 🤔
These aren't choices... they are just hidden or hard to find easter eggs in the game.
You don’t have to be a snitch to join the fleet. Tell Akande to get bent like a real pirate.

I haven't found the haunted ship yet sadly. Seems spooky.
All the choices you make all end up in the same place! it doesn’t matter what chores you make.
Make sure you don’t progress too far before getting the snow globes. They can be locked if passed if finished the Crimson Fleet quest.
I have so many hours in this game. I have never seen the haunted ship.
I have…it’s pretty fucked, and creepy what with the weird android-like robots on the inside. Not to mention the creepy echoey laugh…….

A great number of the "choices" in Starfield have zero effect on the game, only a minor change in dialog. Choose options one, two, three, or four? Game progresses the same no matter which you choose. Zero change. You "choices" are cosmetic at the best.
You can blow up the Constant without talking to anyone. Quick save rage.
You can say no to SysDef and still join Crimson Fleet
9 days of playtime and I haven't come across the pale lady ship from what I remember. I did find the spooky starchild suicide ship though.

@@octavianpopescu4776 I forgot where I found it, might be random. There's a ship full of dead people who committed suicide to be one with a comet. It's Bethesdas spin on the heavens gate cult.
You can read some logs left behind and even take the poisoned juice packs with you. There's also around 12 or so safes to open if you want.

Speaking of Skyrim one of the paintings you have to decorate your bases with is from the opening quest in Skyrim. Shows a dragon attacking someone or something?
I’ve played as pollyanna a game as possible (towards the end of the first part of the FC questline and discovered that I had somehow acquired a UC bounty of a measly 600 something creds. Having heard of the criminal way of entering the CF questline I tested this out by going back to UC system and was brought into the interrogation room. I backed out because I want to do that quest later but couldn’t figure out how I had gotten the bounty. It was like that apple I accidentally stole by trying to pick it up in the first ten minutes of playing Skyrim all over again 😂
In my case, the accidental bounty was because when I was in the Sixth Circle bar on Mars, I picked up an unattended sandwich. Boom, 600 credit bounty. Fortunately, I cleared it by stopping off at the Broken Spear upstairs and hitting the bounty board. I think that turned out the be the most expensive sandwich I ever ate.
I just wounded Petrov in that mission but took him out straight away in Revelation quest.
I have a bunch of the snow globs, but I can't find the ECS Constant anymore and didn't grab the thing you need there.

yu can also shoot your way off the sysdef ship and someone on mars will ask if you want to join the crimson fleet
ah the emergency door you can shoot the connection or use your xpl40mm to blow the door down ,
it is was fun to see the door fall and getting destroy in the process..heheh
Emergency doors can be opened with the mining laser, costing you zero ammo. Just cut the bolts with the laser.
You'll eventually meet ikande if you let the Collector (Petrov) Live
I prefer to go around stealing oranges and taking out cleaning bots. Joining the Fleet early is a good idea in my opinion.

Strikers quest is cool, but it breaks, easily.

joined the crimson fleet questline as a vanguard..and i was thrown out of sysdef for failing stealth missions.. who knew the only way to finish them is to go to some npc who was not named before..also if someone shoots at me whats my "find an option not to kill" am supposed to turn on godmode and walk around not shooting back?
You can run away. You can return fire with a Novablast Disruptor, which doesn't kill. Or you can get back to sneaking ASAP after failing stealth; as long as it wasn't the mission on the UC Naval base, all you'll get is royally chewed out by Ikwande when you return to the _Vigilance._ (Tip for getting the ComSpike: Listen to the workers near the intercom you used to report in to Huong, then go talk to the guy they mention. Ask him where he hasn't looked. When he tells you, go talk to the UC guard by the forklift and advise him the man you just spoke with needs help. He'll walk away, and you can grab the card. Stop at the ramp just below the door you need, and tell your companion to wait for a minute. Sneak up to the door and wait until nobody's looking (it helps to have at least one point in Stealth). Unlock the door, slide on through, and keep sneaking through the grate on your right and into the vent. Next exit is into a bathroom on the crew deck; sneak into the corridor on your left, and then into the very first door on your right. Put on the ensign's uniform that's on the bed. Then just stand up. Everyone will assume you're the ensign in question, and will also accept your follower as another crew member, which is a little weird but run with it. Make sure you acquire the password and the security clearance at the appropriate terminals, and go get the pilot's suit from the locker room before talking to the project lead. For maximum ease, before you board the ship go up the stairs and collect authorization for a mission.)

Well, I wouldn't call them secret. I found all of them naturally except still waiting to find the Pale Lady. I know about it but I'm in NG+ and still have not come across her.
It's one of many _extremely_ random encounters. Don't think I've hit that one yet myself. (My favorite random so far was when I was playing a new character, and while he was still in his first universe I spotted the Hunter jumping down off the top of the Viewpoint bar in New Atlantis. He's willing to engage you in a short and quite cryptic conversation.)

@@kritizismmusics9737 you can't really resolve this kind of situation through persuasion. You can only do it through continued respect of your partner and eventually developing complete trust. I understand them giving an option to be manipulative, but the problem with how Bethesda addressed it in my opinion is that they didn't have any bad repercussions of being so manipulative. It's kind of just endorsed by them. In real life, you'll eventually gonna get what you deserve for cheating on someone and then manipulating them to think it's ok, and I just find it creepy Bethesda was like "meh, whatever, let's just let them persuade a person into changing their core self"
