@@4T3hM4kr0n yeah, I think Germans also use single shoot doctrine as well as they mostly use bolt action. Always found realistic difficulties like this dumb. No HUD, can't see health, ammo, compass etc. All of those informations soldiers have on their body. The game has to augment those tactile stuff into the game using the HUD. Props to you man! Another amazing video. You have patience of a saint
Last I checked human soldiers do not get convenient crosshairs for hip firing or have a precise health bar to tell them how much damage they can take, much less an ammo counter or a compass that automatically guides them objective. Even if we accept that a real soldier could remember all that information they would have to recall it while everything is blowing up around them and they are actively trying not to have a panic attack.
Actually, you enable the HUD, go to settings and option, of course, if meant for realistic, just skip and resume, but otherwise, even if not the realistic difficult, it's still a big challenge, especially A.I on many times was able to make the best shot to hit you, But I did not have a problem with that and this game just like any other game, including the rest of the MOH series, has remained my favourite.

Ive been waiting for this you to play this one. Pacific Assault was my white whale as a kid, I was never able to finish it and eventually gave up on it when I softlocked myself in the flying mission.
i played this game so much as a kid that i have the Drillies 'god' speech fucking memorized word for word... i can't believe all these years later i still said it out loud while i was grabbing coffee, verbatim XD
Forgetting the bandage thing really is not your fault. I remember I played some solid 10 hours until I realized it worked. But then again it just stops you from bleeding out while you wait for the doc, at least from what I remember
I will never forget when this game came out. My family PC could not run it at all. So I worked for half a year mowing yards to be able to get that sweet sweet brand new Intel Pentium 4 processor and a new GPU so that I could finally play it.
Man i saw ur CE vid first and have been watching all of ur backlog, can’t stop cus allll the memories. You gotta try S.T.A.L.K.E.R, think you would very much so enjoy

i played this game a lot as a kid. i remember that each time i got injured, there would always be a Japanese soldier risking his life to come and stab me personally
This game is one of my all time favorites. Its gruesome, unrelenting, and so very rewarding. Its what sealed me into loving realistic FPS games. Watching someone play it in today's sanitized, player friendly times is refreshing and a nostalgic blast. Best MOH ever and likely best WW2 shooter aswell.
If you're in the market for another series once you finish up with the WWII Medal of Honor games, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 is another game from this era that's worth a look. More tactical than MoH, but it was a lot of fun for its time.
@murf3489 Have you tried it on Hero difficulty? That has limited health packs(in fact you really only have them at the start of each mission as there are none to find in the open), limited revives and enemies do a ton of damage(like they could take you out in a few shots). And IIRC the game doesn't have checkpoints at all so a death without a revive sends you back to the start of the mission.
Merry Christmas, Sour! Thank you so much for another amazing video. I'd never played this game before, so this was a wild blind experience for me too. Talk about tense and stressful! I'm impressed by how dense the foliage is. In that regard, it reminded me of an older PC title called Vietcong, set in the jungles of Vietnam- and is a game I would recommend. As far as MoH games, European Assault is one of my favorites... But it isn't easy. Also, I'm really looking forward to seeing you Airborne and Vanguard- truly fun games with some neat mechanics each. The 2010 reboot is also one of my favorite games. I never beat war fighter, so I might need to go and beat that before you get to it.
i loved this game growing up. and i tried playing it again a year or so a go. and forgot how hard this game was. still love this game and cant wait to see what you thought of it. (just started watching the video)
He'll probably be fine with MOH Vanguard on Elite difficulty. MOH European Assault on Hero difficulty is going to be interesting for a few reasons (limited in health packs, limited revives, enemies do a lot of damage).
"Move up and avoid the bodies!" is said because at this point it was well known that if a Japanese soldier wasn't fully dead they would... uhh... self detonate themselves when Marines were near. Just so you know S0ur
Great and very funny video. This game is one of my favorite childhood shooters and you are actually insane for going realistic on your first playthrough!
This game had such a big graphic improvement. When I got it as a kid on my pc I thought I'm gonna go nuts, good memories. I liked the making of videos in main menu. 1:40:22 that is anti-tank rifle "Boys", you can shoot when you prone
This takes me waaaay back. I must have played this for hundreds of hours. I know every line, every secret and how to get every medal and Hero Moments. Also played a lot more on MP, like those snipers only or bolt action only, no running servers.
I like that they gave the marines in the pacific the 1903 Springfield and that other weird experimental smg that was meant to replace the Thompson but never did. Very cool attention to the period.
19:54 Pretty sure he was referring to American merchant marines who got torpedoed by the Germans regularly while shipping lend lease and civilian goods to the Allies. The US hadn't joined the war against the European Axis yet. Not until after the Pearl Harbor attack. The United States' first official combat operation of the war was in May of 1942 when the US Navy scraped together a convoy escort fleet and took out seven U-boats that'd had been harassing merchants ships along the US coastline.
@@roderickstockdale1678 I couldn't find any skirmishes or battles post declaration of war before the 7 U-boat kills. Nor any engagements between US and Axis military personnel beforehand that wasn't unarmed American ships getting torpedoed.
@@roderickstockdale1678 When Looking at COD: WAW in the makin raid, it's never existed and didn't even see NPC had them. so yeah, MOHPA, at least did the well done.

Will say Ill be excited to see you tackle European Assault in the near future. Was one of the 1st games I played when we 1st got our PS2 back in the day, though gameplay is gonna be interesting though, with the side objectives, nemesis's and whatnot. Not sure how hard it is on the hardest difficulty though. Looking forward to it. EDIT: Also maybe for that playthru just ignore the "Adrenaline Mode" feature as well.
The hardest difficulty(Hero) is quite a step up from Veteran. For starters you don't have any med kits lying around(so you can't collect them) like the other difficulties as you only use the ones you start with for the whole mission(which is only a few to begin with). Along with limited revives enemies just do way too much damage, like 30-50% per shot so my best advice is to take it slow, play carefully, get as many revives as you can and don't get shot as much as you need all the health you can get along with using the few med kits wisely.

I've been waiting for this for so long!! Thanks for an early xmas gift ))
The real best WW2 FPS. No trigger based infinite enemy spawns, enemies and friends that maneuver, and the weapons feel great.
So I worked for half a year mowing yards to be able to get that sweet sweet brand new Intel Pentium 4 processor and a new GPU so that I could finally play it.
absolutely love your videos. You are just a chill guy
Man i saw ur CE vid first and have been watching all of ur backlog, can’t stop cus allll the memories. You gotta try S.T.A.L.K.E.R, think you would very much so enjoy
This was so funny to watch, and like always, i enjoyed watching it.
i remember to this day night raid missions on Makin Atoll, i didn´t know about bleeding mechanic, so i was constantly bleeding out with loud heartbeat THE WHOLE TIME i was playing. good times, scary times, hard times, the best of times.
i played this game a lot as a kid. i remember that each time i got injured, there would always be a Japanese soldier risking his life to come and stab me personally
Damn, the graphics look great for such an old game.
The battlefield bad company games might be up your alley, Sour.
My uncle Johnny was stationed at Pearl Harbor when it was attacked.
Woohoo!! I’ve been waiting for this one. So excited!
Thank you for fulfilling my request, S0ur🙏
This game is one of my all time favorites. Its gruesome, unrelenting, and so very rewarding. Its what sealed me into loving realistic FPS games. Watching someone play it in today's sanitized, player friendly times is refreshing and a nostalgic blast. Best MOH ever and likely best WW2 shooter aswell.
First-time Through Hudless is rough as all hell. Definitely a reason to do two runs. A first time hard, second time Hudless.
1:08:02 when the trees start speaking Japanese lmao
Ahahaha as soon as I read this comment it happened 😂
This video is going to make work fly by tomorrow!
If you're in the market for another series once you finish up with the WWII Medal of Honor games, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 is another game from this era that's worth a look. More tactical than MoH, but it was a lot of fun for its time.
European assault I am dreading the most. Might be a finest hour type of game tbh
Oh my 🙃
I don’t know that one is kinda balanced
@murf3489 yeah I guess I’m mostly thinking of the last two sections of the game.
@@WalnutBadger196 oh god yeah those two were a huge pain
I’m so fired up for this. My fav MOH, similar vibes to brothers in arms without being as story heavy
i loved this game growing up. and i tried playing it again a year or so a go. and forgot how hard this game was. still love this game and cant wait to see what you thought of it. (just started watching the video)
I just recently replayed this for the fifth time in my life. I was 4 or 5 when this game came out and still have my jewel case lol
Can't wait for MoH Vanguard and European Assault. European Assault especially, played WAAAY too much of it in my PS2 😅
He'll probably be fine with MOH Vanguard on Elite difficulty. MOH European Assault on Hero difficulty is going to be interesting for a few reasons (limited in health packs, limited revives, enemies do a lot of damage).
True, I remember European Assault being kind of hard for my 5 yo self to beat
"Move up and avoid the bodies!" is said because at this point it was well known that if a Japanese soldier wasn't fully dead they would... uhh... self detonate themselves when Marines were near. Just so you know S0ur
The Marines repeating call outs is accurate. Good squad communication means repeating information to ensure everyone heard.
kinda funny when it's the exact same audio clip being repeated 4 times in a row lol
worth it at least.
Excited for this video!
1:28:50 “put that down” made me crack up😂
Great and very funny video. This game is one of my favorite childhood shooters and you are actually insane for going realistic on your first playthrough!
When Robert Sherrod covered the battle of Tarawa for Time magazine, he went ashore by wading alongside the pier just like in the video game
Your videos cure my depression, thank you
Blessed recommendation, first time I played this was 2005 on my first ever pc. An amazing game for it's time.
This game had such a big graphic improvement. When I got it as a kid on my pc I thought I'm gonna go nuts, good memories. I liked the making of videos in main menu.
1:40:22 that is anti-tank rifle "Boys", you can shoot when you prone
I bought this, AA and Vietnam redux in a metal case with like 4 disc for each game. Will always have a special place in my heart.
It's crazy I never realized i could recite that whole speech by memory after 18 years.
I remember playing these game the same way when I was 11 cause the realistic guy looked cool, it was hell
I always played I believe Medal of Honor 3, the modern era one, and it was pretty fun. Nice to watch someone play the older games
Using the BAR in the Tarawa mission was my favorite medal of honor game play. Its a beast.
Before Coral Sea?
@@roderickstockdale1678 I couldn't find any skirmishes or battles post declaration of war before the 7 U-boat kills. Nor any engagements between US and Axis military personnel beforehand that wasn't unarmed American ships getting torpedoed.
@@walnzell9328 but Coral Sea happened the same month though! Was it before the battle or after?
@@walnzell9328 and what about Wake Island, Guam and the Philippines???
@@roderickstockdale1678 All of these happened AFTER Pearl Harbor. And they were not in the Atlantic.
Read my first comment again carefully.
Mandown A having the M50 Reising is not something I expected, wow.
M55, but still good it was featured.
@@roderickstockdale1678 When Looking at COD: WAW in the makin raid, it's never existed and didn't even see NPC had them. so yeah, MOHPA, at least did the well done.
@@Mechanized85 NPC?
Holy shit... I never knew they had a game after rising son.
I can still remember the end where you almost catch your brother being taken on that aircraft carrier
My favorite Medal of Honor game, let's GOOOOO!
If you like the mechanics of squad base I recommend Brothers in Arms, specifically Hells Highway. Loved that game as a kid
Yeah he should do the Brothers in Arms series in general.
This Game was so good. I probably replayed the campaign over 5-10 times when I was a kid
