    Hello friends,
watching the news is very worrying at the moment and I especially feel for my Italian, French, British, Spanish and American viewers. Please take care and stay well wherever you are! But now join me on a trip to the peaceful German countryside. I hope you will like it! In case you feel like helping me and my channel, please like and share my video. Thank you very much :)
All the best and greetings from Germany,
    Hans

I was thinking of you also my friend! You seemed just a bit lethargic, and i was hoping you had not been sick...especially as I know Germany has had it's share of virus cases. Here in Georgia USA we are supposed to stay home unless it's essential we go out. Lots of cases and over 400 deaths here to date. My daughter and her family in Colorado had the virus but all have recovered. Take care Hans!

THe blade is beautiful! Someone, all those years ago, sat down and carefully designed the patterns on it. It was lost to the earth and the work was forgotten, but here it is now, being appreciated by many more people than could ever have seen it when it was first created. Finding lost artefacts isn't just about pulling things from the ground; it's about history and stories, and connecting with people from our past.

    • @TerraGermaniaTG

it was very valuable for someone and I feel sorry for his or her loss..on the other hand I would never have experienced this amazing moment if the one who lost it had taken more care of it. thank you for watching and for your kind comment!

Hans your videos are always so informative and interesting, plus you show us the wonderful areas in which you are detecting and the beauty of the flora and fauna around you. I loved seeing the lovely mouse and the deer, then the shot of the weeping willow with its springtime growth, beautiful my friend. The silver piece looks to me like the top half of a coin purse, perhaps where the coins came from? As for the dagger, what a spectacular find for you, the decoration is gorgeous and I will be so interested to hear from you what the archeology expert says about it. So many lovely finds are coming from that field and I realise that crops will be coming up in the future but each year other items are brought up by the plough I am told. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the virus everywhere, even our small town has been affected by 2 people passing sadly. It is a horrible time to live in for the world but we find happiness to help us get through it and hope. Your videos and others on RUclips give us a respite for a little while which is a wonderful gift Hans, thank you my friend. Take care and stay safe please everyone Mary-Ellen UK

I would have loved to see the expression on your face when you found that stunning ceremonial blade Hans, it’s gorgeous. I’m curious if there is an equivalent in Germany to the UK’s antiquities council which requires you to register ancient finds with the museum? I have an old dessert bowl with a silver rim, so That could be it, and it also could have be a fancy adornment to horse tack, wrapped around a piece if leather. Take care of yourself, and thank you for taking us out in the beautiful countryside.

it wasn't a spectacular reaction. I was just shocked and sat down for a few minutes. the reason why I didn't make proper photos or even video footage was because I handed the knife over to the archaeologists soon after finding it. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the knife and it's history. thank you for watching and take care too!

Someone had a killer week!. I got skunked out there. The razor handle was a common style in the 1920s, Gillette used them, but I'm not sure if they actually produced them or contracted production. I have a 1928 gold plated Gillette that I shave with daily that has that handle. Great VIDEO AS ALWAYS!

The ring and dot design on the rivet is also found on Saxon rivets but certainly around that time. That blade is exceptional! Great find. I notice that you use a small round coil. I can see that being a great choice in a trashy area but I am surprised that you don't use larger DD coil to get better coverage. Love the videos and your finds. It is also good to see your technique!
