I just knocked a small hole in my bath tub the other day. Thank you for posting this and leaving the list of materials needed plus links. Super happy i found this and that hope is not all gone in soaking in a hot tub every weekend.
Just saw this. Fixing bathtubs seems to be hard. But you are doing a great job! You are the one that is more perfect than any other videos from others. As you can not notice the outlines that much. Good job man!
Man fantastic job. I need someone like you to fix my fiberglass bathtub. It takes time, patience and a lot of hard work. I have non of those traits available to me. But thanks for the video, I'll play it for the guy that's willing to tackle the job for me.
Thank you for doing this. I found another video you did that has voice so products are noted. In this video, you use: 1. Bondo fiberglass resin and mat 2. the brown stuff - looks like 3 coats. question 1 - is the brown stuff the Bondo Glass? question 2 - in a different video with the voice and products, you had a 3rd step/product of the Bondo All-Purpose Putty. You have that listed as a product in this description, but I didn't see you use it. Does the Bondo All-Purpose Putty need to be used also, or is the fiberglass resin and glass enough? I have a 2 inch hole in a custom therapy fiberglass pool - we are removing a jet that keeps leaking and filling the hole like you show in this video. step 1 - the fiberglass resin and mat is needed structurally. But then, I am unsure on the glass and putty. question 3 - what does the Bondo glass do? and what does the all-purpose putty do? Thank you in advance and I hope you will reply.

I had someone come repair a crack just like this on my bathtub, couple weeks later i stepped on it and it cracked. Is that going to help with me not cracking it when I’m showering , its hard for me shower and trying to avoid that area! The crack is on the floor.

Good job, but I have question To match the color of the tub, you paint the entire tub or just the damaged part
If you want the entire tub to match perfectly then you have to spray the whole tub. Otherwise know that there will be a slight variation in color
Would this work as well on a fiberglass swimming pool wall? The crack is approx. the same size. Don't see why not, but I'd like an opinion.

I use either Rustoleum Appliance spray or Rustoleum High Performance Enamel white

What type of sand your using for this tub on the dewalt sander
120 grit
i heard it was 24hrs to fully cure, how long do you need to wait before sanding? thanks!

Bondo Fiberglass Mat
3M fiberglass cloth
You need to give step by step instructions
What if the hole is on the part where you feet go? Should I put something in the hole before I patch? You know for support
I just posted a video with the crack at the bottom and filling with foam support
Since that hole is so big you could do something like this to convert a jetted tub to soaker, correct? Any reason why that would be a bad idea?
I’ve heard of people doing that successfully!
I wanna do this, but can I know the name of the exact product used cause I have the same size whole on my bathtub 😅
