Great points Finn. I too feel very similar about the last 5 to 7 years of fishing. The striper fishery is changing so rapidly from year to year, that it can be very frustrating and feel like you're doing something wrong. But I agree completely about the springtime in those hard patterns. Estuaries, shallow waters, places where the water can heat up quickly during the daytime hours. Definitely the spot to be in the springtime. Plus, makes for fun fishing with lighter tackle.
