You don't have to apologize for being emotional. It's totally understandable. Besides, it's the emotions that make a reaction (and the reactor) real and beautiful.
This song is a tribute to his father who died a year before this song, and yes, there were magnolia's at his parents house.
The song is about the magnolia that his father planted in the garden so he had flowers every birthday of his mother.He wrote it after his mother died.So its also about his mother and her life.That what you feel.Everybody who has lost some one reacts the same to this song.I come from Holland and Danny explained it many times here in intervieuws
When a song touches your inner core like that, you know its a good song.
Danny has many great songs, he doesnt really care to be a big name who scores hit after hit, all he wants is to make music with a meaning, a message, that touches people.
If he were American instead of Dutch, he'd probably be a huge name in Americana/Country music, his voice and his lyrics are truly great, his songs are gems.

I discovered this song exactly a year after you posted it, (2021). I am Dutch, had no idea who he was since I have no tv. Then the 25th of May my beloved cat died, we were together with his sister for 15 yrs . Then, she passed away exactly a week later on the 1st of June, they were all I had. This became the song I used for a video I've made, dedicated to them. now it makes me cry every time. It's been a very rough 5 months with the grief . This song is now my memory to them , as it is for many others .

Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's very sad". Danny Vera is also the singer of the house band of the Dutch soccer show Veronica Inside. I totally understand you. I lost my girlfriend 4 years ago, she had a kidneydisease and Alzheimer what she had from that kidneydisease. We were together from march 30th 2013 and she passed away at march 29th 2019. I still miss her so much,the love of my life. And she was only 36 of age. Also my parents died at a young age, but i am still positive in life. Hope you are as well🙏

For most songs that's the only way I can keep a video getting blocked. People seem to complain about that less than me chopping it up or stopping at all the time. Sorry that you don't like it.

You should listen 2 by by eddie from him , the version he did at tv show called dwdd..danny also did a lot of great covers before he got his break with rollercoaster.In Holland it was a massive hit and instant classic.Great covers of him are Springsteens the ghost of tom joad , to much love will kill you from brian may and hearts all I wanna do is..In nov his new album comes out.

No idea who this guy is but then again I don't do country music. I thought this was a bon jovi ,rollercoaster cover . very wrong , this definitely isn't rock music. Country music is so boring . I grew a beard while this was playing
