Thanks Ron and my dear friend Brad for the request. This song means a lot to me. It was played at my sister-in-law's funeral in 2021. After years of batteling cancer.

You know how important music is in my life Wilma, and I am so grateful that you introduced me to his music. There’s nothing better that anyone could do for me than to share beautiful music with me. 😊

My pleasure, Wilma. Yes, life is a roller coaster ride for sure. I sorry for the loss of your sister. Cancer is a nasty beast for sure. I've lost quite a few family members to it. Thank you for introducing Brad who then passed along the information to me. 🙂

He’s really great, and I can see your comparison to Gordon, but it’s not who I was thinking of. I still can’t put my finger on him, but it’s not important. I’m still amazed that he’s not a popular artist here in the USA. Especially since he’s been around for quite a while. You’d have thought someone would have introduced him to American audiences before. This is a great song he wrote. I think I mentioned it in my notes, but someone in the comments had written that he still lives in the same house he grew up in, and the magnolias he sings about are planted around his house, and were planted there by his mom, or grandmother, I can’t remember which one they said. What a beautiful story it is though. Thanks Ron for another great review. I will let Martha, I mean Wilma 😂, know it’s here.

@@rjjsreactions-rk7zhI have figured out who it is that he reminds me of of; Jim Croce! They both have that nasal tone, and same pitch, and are both storytellers. I don’t know if you listened to much of Jim’s music beyond the few big hits, he has so many beautiful songs like this. Beautiful stories sang like this, and he was a guitarist mostly, with a similar style.

@@rjjsreactions-rk7zhI have most of his music. Jim was only around for a few years before he died in a plane crash, and in fact one of his biggest hits, ‘Time In A Bottle’, didn’t become a hit until after he was gone. He died before the album was released.

@@bradtaggart5509 Yes, I am familiar with Jim Croce, although I haven't listened to him for a very long time. I'd have to have another listen to see if I concur, but I expect you are right. 🙂
