I'm a Buckeye but always support the Big 10. One of the most exciting endings ever! Go Hawkeyes!
I'm a Hawk fan and feel the same way. Go Big 10!
I still remember watching this game and the entire house erupting in cheers and laughter. This play will always go down in the annals of Iowa football as one of the greatest.
We just lost it ALL in the Basement in of our House.
Such a great moment.
Still the greatest "TOUCHDOWN IOWA" of Gary Dolphin's career as the Voice of the Hawkeyes.
The greatest feeling I’ve ever had as a Hawkeye fan. Never will forget this moment!
Indeed. For me, born in South Des Moines, lived here most of my life, this one was even better than being ranked #2... Better than a perfect regular season even.
It's like if you're a college wrestling fan and you wake up one day and find out your going to the National Championships and your roster starts with Austin DeSanto, Alex Marinelli and Spencer Lee... Hard to beat that feeling!
Gophers fan here, Drew Tate had the best spiral, best touch, best ball I've seen in decades.
LOVE MY HAWKS!
Lmao at this dude saying they knew exactly what they were doing. You can literally see an Iowa coach going “oh shit” on the TV broadcast when the clock starts to wind. Still, awesome moment in CFB history.
Haha...yep!
Warren Holloway: 1 career college touchdown!
One TD and he made Hawkeye history! Go Warren!
@@randysteele6741 yeah I'm a huge Hawkeye fan, it was AMAZING. And to think he kept grinding and working without any TDs until the very last play of his career and he got one!
@@HawkGuy82 He kept the Hawkeye spirit! Go Hawks!
Cuz he was the one...
The One they didn't count on!
The one they didn't account for!
Start of 2005 was Danny Fenton's Sweet 16th Birthday to Kickoff 2005 with a BANG
My first introduction to Iowa quarterbacks was Gordy Bohannon in 1981 or 82 when I was about 10 years old. Drew Tate is one of the better ones I've seen. Kinda reminds me of Drew Brees in a way
This was back when I still believed nothing good happens for iowa sports lol.. this changed my opinion forever!
"they knew exactly what they were doing."
No, they mismanaged the time but it worked out. Either way, great ending for the Hawks!
He just explained how they didn't miss manage time. They knew time was running. They knew the game was going to end on the play. They put it all on the table to win the football game and it worked out.
Cody Baker I disagree with their explanation.
Cody Baker
+Seth Clarke lol idiot
Even Tate has said he knew the clock was running...
I saw this live when I was a kid. Being from Texas, I knew about Drew Tate. Amazing moment.
This was absolute horrendous clock mismanagement it wasn’t strategic 😂😂
I still get goosebumps watching/ listening to this
lsu defense was lousy. that guy was open from the word hike smh
We were having a party and I said we won, nobody believe me!
That was a "KING KONG" like play.
I got to meet Drew's dad repainting a residential property that they had bought here in Florence, Alabama. I'd notice that he wore Iowa gear on a couple of occasions while we were on the job. Of course I knew his last name was Tate, so I brought up what I had known about Drew having connections to Alabama. And as soon as I mentioned Drew, we had a wonderful conversation about football in general. And it's pretty crazy because not 2 blocks from the house we were working on, was the home of Zack Mettenbeger's grandmother. Zack who was a starting QB at LSU around a decade ago. Anyway, I just thought that was an interesting part of my life. Also how many games did Saban coach that were either down to the wire, last second heroics, or just amazing miracles of the game? You have this game, the bluegrass miracle, the kick 6, the Mt Cody block, 2nd and 26, vs Georgia and Arkansas in '07, Deshaun Watson's pass to Winfrow, the 2012 SEC title game, the 2018 SEC title game, Ole Miss in 2014, Tennessee and LSU 2022, LSU 2011, jeesus! I'm surprised that dude hasn't had a come apart yet. He's the greatest though.
Tiger bro just let him go
Top three or four? How about #1. Amd that includes Houghtlin beating Michigan on the final play of the game.
GRRRREAT finish. Unlike recent years.
Chills*
That game will live forever to us fans
I was born 3 months after this game
Dose Tate have any eligibility left? Even just 1 game. 😢
Saban LOST bwahahahahahahahahahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Touchdown Iowa
