Just started playing basketball at 24. Even amongst highschoolers I am no where near the best on the court and the trash talking you immediately are exposed to so heavily on the court is intimidating. Even for me, a 24 year old. It was good to hear these points to understand how things are on the court, and honestly these concepts apply more then just to basketball. @deepgame your story telling and wonderful illustration of these concepts was so engaging. Subscribed, keep up the excellent work!
I do remember i got trashed talked in a semi final game and my opponent started challenging me to drive to basket he had a huge size advantage and called me out that i’m scared, few minutes later i hit the game winner while him guarding me, he ended up comin up to me showing respect I can also relate cause last week i played a pick up game and my defender kept calling me small, he did get into my head unusually and because it rarely happened to me before i used to always get back at them and beat trash talkers without sayin anything but this time idk why he did and i handled it poorly on offense but i did good on defense so i was able to block his shot 5 times and then i watched your video and thanks to you i’ll never let anybody get into my head ever again
Same. I got more in my head cause I felt the pressure of having to back it up. I never tried it in game, only in playing knock out or 3v3s. Nothing serious.
I remember once during a game at school, one player of the other team tried to bully me because he knew that i was a Shy person but during this game, he ran towards me and pushed me and i pushed him back (without getting emotional) he looked at me and smiled and that game turned into a one on one between us and i was scoring at him and guarding him but him was shying away from me cause i wasn't backing up against him at any chance I got I guarded him I wasn't scared and focused on the game and the ball he got (One of my best game) i felt so agressive
I don't play basketball, and I'm not familiar with most of the names you mentioned, but as a competitive Fighting Game player, this really helps out. Awesome advice!

i never picked up a basketball until i was 17 1st semester of college...we use 2 hoop ALL DAY everyday so i learned & got better pretty fast💯at 1st i sucked relly bad but i always talked shit 2 everybody🤣🤣🤣i will say i got cooked a lot but it definitely helped me learn going at everybody🤞🏾
In games when I play, I keep on getting out of control with the ball and only self centered on scoring when I get the ball, so I keep making bad plays, even though I practice so hard. It’s like in games I just can’t slow down subconsciously and read the situation
The key is to slowly see where you can start helping the team more. Where can you fill in the gaps when they need you to fulfill a specific role? The key to stop making self centered plays is to focus on the team rather than yourself. Simon DeepGame
This literally couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m 1v1 ing a guy tomorrow that isn’t better than me but I lose focus whenever he calls me retarded. I know I’m better than him and I know I’m good but I cannot stand it when people call me that.
Just start dribbling with your left hand in the most basic way (just dribbling with it), and expand from there into more complex drills. Simon DeepGame
I was 13 14 playing with the school new team only 5 starters, 1 substitue on our side, we won all games to qualify to finals by forfait, our opponents did not show so we met the best team of the area and saw the 1m90 center etc… and the super team warming up, it was my first year of training, and they were kind of laughing at us when they saw us so miserable with only 6 players not too tall. So I decided to show them who we are and we re not going to give up. My friend Julien won the in between throw starting game I caught the ball and knew I have to show our force, I did something I be never done in a game and seldom out, half court I just looked at them fiercely and took two steps stopped jumped and shot almost half court to the rim… threeeeeeeee. I kept cool them they scored back 2 I received the ball on the right wing went forward till base line sprinting and after panel axe I shot 3 again behind he hoop and threeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I was so happy, I knew I gained he opponent s respect and admiration for courage and fighting spirit, we lost the game but we fought like Lions, me wearing glasses with a band to hold them, defending like Kobe, making steals… and they respected us even congratulated us… 😊 a game to remember… never back down , start calm and be brave, dare the best of you!
Music is another object which will actually take your focus away, on the contrary. Although there is a time and place to use music, your fundamental basic meditation practice would be more effective without it. Keep your focus on your breathing and your body, for now. Simon DeepGame
I've been trashed talked in my junior year and still currently trashed talked in my senior year because I'm the worst on my team. But I show no emotion of what they said yet I still play bad. Idk what I'm doing wrong
Have you checked out the free Masterclass yet? The problem is likely unrelated to trash talk, but that class may give you some ideas of what's going wrong, at least in terms of the Deep Game.
Hey coach Taylor, I have a problem, I registered for the masterclass a while ago and never took it, and I was receiving the daily email lessons you guys sent me. Then I unsubscribed from u guys because I had to focus on other things like school, etc. I registered again, and I actually took the master class and it was amazing, but I’m not receiving the daily email lessons of how to master the deep game. What should I do because I want to learn and master the deep game, and I would appreciate it if you would reach back to me.
@@Iamdannydimez It's possible the intro emails only get sent once. As for our newsletter, it's currently on break for the holidays, so you should be getting more of those in the New Year! Simon DeepGame
I have a bit of a problem because my favorite player is jayson tatum and I want to take in aspects of his game but I’m pretty sure I won’t be as tall as him so I don’t know how to do that without the height
You can take parts of his game which you think will be applicable to yours. At the same time though, it may be worth looking at players more similar to you in skill and size and seeing what you can add from their arsenal into yours. Simon DeepGame
Can any one send the link where Simon taught us about all laws of basketball something,I really need it to help my friends please .Deep game hear me I need it
You haven't posted anything in a month, hope ur doing good bud. I'm losing the will and the excitement to play. Even when practicing, I dont have the motivation anymore. My dreams aren't motivating me. I'm losing the happiness to play the game. Idk what's going on bud, what should I do?
Hi! firstly, can you put a finger on whats really bothering you? Is it really just losing the excitment to play? Stress? A bad coach? Maybe if you know whats behind that feeling you can fix the problem. A thing that was taught in one of the DeepGame talks is when you lose the happines to play, you can go the the basketball court without any workout prepared and just do what feels right. Just shootaround for however long you want just like when we were kids. Reconnect to the small things you love about the game like the sound of the ball bouncing or the sound it makes when it goes through the net. From my own experience this helps a lot. Hope you find this useful! 🙏

Deliberately detaching from the game for a particular amount of time to get further clarity on your situation could be of huge benefit to you, right now.
