I'm sad some plotlines had to be wrapped up quickly in order to end the show on time. Had they the time to do her story justice, Olenna ABSOLUTELY would have annihilated Cersei. She had nothing to lose after Margaery and Loras died, and she was always smarter than Cersei.
tbh the show while good at times was just screwed they kept cutting storylines they setup then in the last 2 seasons said to hell with it and just tried to end as fast as possible most ridiculous mishandling of a ip iv seen tbh it was hysterical the amount of backlash they managed to get
I wish that in season 7 Cersei and Olenna meet again, and Olenna confesses she killed joffrey, i would love to see cersei face, knowing that she caused the Death of her son and of his father, and made her blame all in his little brother, and at the same time, made cersei practically kill the main male lannister line
Plus Olenna has no more house to worry, she will drag Reach into Kingslanding. She have a 2nd major army, the food suplies and nothing can stop her... not even death.
I am late to this, but the Tyrells made wrong enemies when they tried to steal the power away from the Lannisters. The Lannisters didn't start the conflict, they just fought back and won.
If the series had better writers, she would have done major damage to Cersei if not ended her. Dumb&Dumber messed all the smart characters up, made them idiots then killed them because they couldn't write decent material for them.
Olenna and Ellaria should be the one to crush Cersei and in the process destroyed themselves. Leaving the Throne open for Baelish to take it! Or the ultimate enemy should had been Night King or Lord Baelish. Petyr played the game better than Cersei. Not in her dreams she was in his level.
Unpopular opinion: The Queen of Thorns was in many ways a paper tiger. Unlike the far more inherently stupid Cersei, she was unable to deliver on her threats.

Brilliant. Fierce. Shrewd and always a step ahead of everyone else. She is one of my favourite characters out of that whole series.
