Nice to see you back, Chris. Not surprised by the variety in your reading. I enjoyed Street Fighting Man by Spain Rodriguez. I recommend, too, his memoir Crusin with the Hounds. The life and Times of Fred Toote. It's very insightful as to his tumultuous upbringing. Monica, when I get a copy, will be my first Clowes book. Never read anything by him. I take it River's Edge the film has nothing to do with the manga?
There is a japanese film called rivers edge based on this manga from the early 90s. But even though they seem to have similar plot points the 80s film and this comic are different
Humor is probably the main reason most people like underground Comix! That really leaves you with very little, I suspect. I was thinking of you as I suffered through the first issue of Kiran Gillen's latest indy book. Maybe i just didn't get the jokes!!!
@sleepyreader666 I saw your review. He's got me in his pocket so I'm fine playing the long game. Not many people can do that in our industry, and it isn't conducive to grab new readers unless it's maybe the trade that grabs people.
Chaos!!! Thank's for sharing 👊🏼
Love the new logo!
Yay you're back!
@@MelaninnManga not for long 😋
I've definitely gotten caught in that "it might go out of print" mindset. I have to look into Spain Rodriguez now.
@@9PanelGrid it's a trap!!
Glad your back! I forget what streaming i was watching and you commented you were re-retired. No! Stay awhile longer lol.
Who knows. It depends how I feel at the time lol. Thanks for checking it out though

@GoreVidalComicbooks looks like these first volumes don't have street fighting man or cruisin hopefully future ones do
