I FINALLY WENT TO JAPAN ✈(first vlog here) ruclips.net/video/OGkUR1H8afw/видео.html it means so much that everyone is loving the new vlogs - thank you for watching. I really enjoy the new one so check it out if you have time after this one! happy reading & stay well ♥︎
I got back into manga after a 15-year break this summer and as one might guess, I got a ton of catching up to do. Recently finished Innocent, read Vinland Saga up to date, and now at vol. 10 of Pun Pun. My dear what beautiful stories and artistic pieces have I missed during all these years...
@@Crashh_97 Currently I am 27. My biggest manga phase was when I was around 8-12 years old. My English wasn't good enough for reading most things back then and there weren't too many translations in my language. They did have some great ones tho. and oh boy, did I read everything they offered! Dragon Ball, Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, Inyuasha, Conan, Astro Boy... Good times.
@@tenacious_takakumi2680 It was a tough one but I'm glad I read it. It's an interesting series. I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone due to how depressing it can be but I would still kind of carefully suggest everyone to read it for the quality in art and story.
One thing I love about the net is seeing you next gen loving this hobby and your collections. We were so underground and couldn’t see others collections. Hope this hobby gives you happiness it gave me !
i am currently on Sakamoto Days and its probably one of my favorites for its comedy and a page turning action ... artwork not for everyone but the execution is superb
Nice! I love how Sakamoto Days is growing with fans and is even getting its own anime on January 2025! I read a preview or first 3 chapters and am thinking to buy the whole 1st volume!
Big fan of CDs, been collecting them regularly for a few years now. I like supporting the artist/having physicals, but is still portable enough to bring to my school housing and permanent housing regularly. Plus it’s usually cheaper and easily digitized compared to records.
BROOO I GOT SO HYPE WHEN I SAW HIKARU NO GO im legit so happy for you LOL I've been (and still am) losing my mind cause I can not for the life of me find the volumes I'm missing, and I'm only missing 1,3,5,7 and 8
Flip Otaku told me about your channel I'm very glad he did! I spent way too much time at Book Off when I lived in Tokyo and New York City. I almost got a job at one in Manhattan once. I need to drag my ass down to the one in Gardena! I loved this video, excited to check out more on the channel.
FINALLY. Yes i know haha - rn im on vol 5! (well I just finished 4 so i'll start 5 sometime today) Definitely will have a video on Berserk in the future
It’s currently snowing where I live, and it was SUPER cozy watching this a drinking hot cocoa. Anyway, great video, love these vlogs! Keep up the great work! 😊
Iam so happy that my manga collection is growing fav manga is one piece I really enjoye it and the anime is soo good I am cougth up sadly not at the manga 😅❤ I started collecting my manga in 2023 at age of 17 and it’s growing hey bogie I really enjoy ur vids and u inspired me to collect manga so thank you so much ❤
You're definitely not alone in buying CDs, I too still buy them. It's definitely nice to have a physical copy of albums, I'm the one that loves to read the song credits. It's a joy!
As of recently I reread mermaid Saga I'm halfway through Aria and yesterday I just started reading Yokohama kaidashi kikou in preparation for the new release! Thanks for another enjoyable video always look forward to it! :)
Good haul! I still have my .hack ps2 games that I still need to finish. These games used to be so cool because they came with a show on dvd in each case
Hikaru No Go!!!! One of my, if not my, all time favourite series!! So happy you were able to find a good chunk of the volumes in one go, what a find! Good luck hunting the rest - I have a feeling you might need it haha :D
Good video. Funny enough I believe it was Borders or Barnes and Noble(In VA) where I read my first manga. I forget the mall but I remember it being one of Detective Conan. Also .Hack is an amazing series. Great thing about it is a lot of the manga, anime and games tie together.
I started a cute series called My Love Mix-Up. It's got some shounen-ai in it. It's about two boys and a girl, and one of the boys is the protagonist. At the start he has a crush on the girl, but when the girl loans him her rubber for a test, the boy in front of him sees the rubber which has his name and a heart on it, which causes a huge misunderstanding that the main character likes him. But eventually, the misunderstanding looks like it's becoming real. It's cute, funny and the art style is nice. I've only read 2 volumes but I've also bought the next 2 volumes and can't wait to continue reading it.
Recently I’ve read the first volume of Witch Hat Atelier and it was PHENOMENAL HOLY SHIT. I’m waiting for the rest if the volumes to be available in my local bookstore :’3
The most recent manga series I have started was The Promised NeverLand and I can confidently say that holy shit its is amazing I have read the first 3 volumes. I know a lot of people say that the ending is bad but I think the story compensates for it.
There's a Fist of the North Star Japanese manga over there with the whole sets you could have just buy them even though you can't read Japanese or you can get the Fist of the North Star English edition with hard covers and coloring pages
one series i feel we'll never get in english and im tempted to just try and get the japanese volumes and tough through it is big wind up (ookiku furikabutte) probably one of my favorite sports anime. so jealous you guys get book off it looks so fun in there.
Not me stopping the video at the right section to see if I have to go a weekend trip around the world for a few manga volumes I am still missing ;) Great finds! Hikaru No Go is also one of the series I want to own, I read it back in the day when it was published chapter by chapter in a magazine, but I never had money for singles. I really hope for a reprint one day, that's more likely than me to find them for a reasonable price.
it's a packed lunch! It comes with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, carrots w/ ranch, string cheese, and some chocolate raisins all individually wrapped :)
@@BoogieSnacks well shout out to boogie the goat 🤣 love the editing I used to work as a video editor for a couple of years and went to a very famous school for editing in my country and it's just so refreshing seeing a really unique editing style than most manga channels your editing style is so vibrant and cheerful Just keep doing what you're doing and don't forget to always try new things Oh oh and you should try a galaxy next door the second volume just came out and it's so good and wholesome
You should get the Dai Dark series in Japanese. I'm not sure if you can or can't read Japanese, you will love the volumes with their see through dust covers that change the cover art when removing them. Volume 5 just came out here. Anyway, hope you check them out.
I recommend trying Alice in boarderland, it’s really, good I recently got it, and I would say the art style is like death note, with the psychological art style, the story really good, and the books are pretty chunky too!
I'm working on my one punch man collection, although I have watched the anime I haven't read the entire manga series yet so I am working on it, I have volume 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 but sometimes I get random volumes, ill get there eventually lol
I found volume 1-14 of the Shaman King singles at a used bookstore here in Sweden, for around 100 dollars. Didn’t pick them up though since I’m not so familiar with the series. Feeling a little bit of regret though.
Qotd: I have been reading a lot recently. But been trying to focus on 20th Century Boys to finish it. (Others include Berserk, Tokyo Ghoul, Yowamushi Pedal, and Summertime Rendering)
Hey boogie I have told u this before but you may have missed this. If you go to the online half price books you can find shamen king singles for very cheap(some might be bad condition tho…..)
Same experience anime and manga are very mainstream in my country much more than the usa we have anime and manga events monthly and it was the norm since the 1980 with many top tier shows and manga and it is ranked 1 with videogames for the yourh of my rei9g so yeah its pretty mainstream here

I haven’t read manga for a week or two but the last manga I read was a silent voice. I read it a year ago and didn’t finish it for some reason but I just finished it and it was incredible! I don’t know how to write how I felt about the manga so I’m just not going to so I don’t spend hours trying to write down my feelings lol. I’d rate it a 9/10 lol. currently I’m looking for new manga to read and I’m having trouble picking out something to buy because there are so many mangas I’d love to read but I can only get one or two at the moment lol. I don’t know why but every so often I’ll get obsessed with random stuff for either a week, a month or two, or even a year and I’ve been obsessed with watches, figures, etc and I’m getting obsessed with manga again lol. I am thinking about getting akira, I know nothing about it but I love the box set and the kid that looks like megamind with his absolutely mind blowingly large forehead lol. he looks so silly. other mangas I think I’d like to read are march comes in like a lion (or something like that lol), mob psycho 100, death note, bungo stray doggos, the one about the six year old (the manga has a green cover?), 20th century boys (which sadly I may not be able to get lol), etc. I don’t know what ones I should buy first lol if you person that’s reading this has any recommendations please tell me 😀 thank you
Your videos are dangerous. It's giving the urge to go out and buy manga. As for the qotd, I've been reading and collecting Jujutsu Kaisen. It's a good time.
