Nice,. I don't have one,. yet. ..Strange thought of the day,. it could double as a fire blowing tool,. (not too close) also,... if they added a heating element with a reduced speed , it could be an emergency heater. Nice demo vid.
Looks like a winner Dan👍👍nice review. I remember the first Tiny Pump review and thinking it would work well as a campfire blower w/extension tube and being careful of course. I still think it could be adapted for that purpose and the new version even better. Have a nice weekend.
G'day Dan, a very compelling piece of kit mate and so pleased to see a company make improvements that really benefit the user, rather than just cosmetic or only a couple of % performance wise. Btw; kPa = kilo pascal, a unit of pressure, specifically air pressure in this context. 1 kPa = 0.15 psi Cheers Duke.
For those wondering how this compares to the FlexTailGear Max Pump 2, here are my findings: 1. The Max Pump 2 can be used as a battery bank and can recharge other devices via USB, which this new Tiny Pump X2 cannot. 2. The Tiny Pump X2 weighs 40% less than than the Max Pump 2 3. The Max Pump 2 is a bit more powerful clocking in at 4.5 kPa vs the Tiny Pump X2's 4.0 kPa 4. The Tiny Pump X2 has a magnet on the back for mounting the light on metal surfaces but the Max Pump 2 does not.
Good review, Dan mate. Still a bit noisy for a secret squirrel camp, but at least it won’t be as noisy for so long. Light looks good and moisture proof too. Nice Tiny Pump Pit Stop comparison 😁
I'd like to see what the light spread looks like inside a dark tent but from the design of the ring light around the edge I bet it's good. I like the new design. :)
I was holding off on a little rechargeable pump because I don’t want to add more weight. I blow my current mat up with my lungs but when I spend a bit more on a winter upgrade I want to start good habits and use a lump sack or little pump like this…. I was leaning towards a pump sack but as this now has a light built in I can leave my lantern at home and this thing probably weighs about the same.
I reckon you’re getting trolled, I recently say ‘Simon a bloke in the woods’ using the old pump to boost his campfire, like I posted on your channel 🤔😜👍. Good to see improvements in the old pump👍 Pooches climbing into Papasan chairs was awesome 😊👍
Love a pump off! You have the flextail pro 2 as well don't you? Which would you prefer over those? 🤔 my pro 2 pumps my large nat up in 20 second although it's a fair bit heavier. Atb
My other is the max pump. Which has the light but it’s heavier than an Obulb and tiny pump combined. So it stays home usually. The new one is definitely best if both worlds for me. It’ll be my new first choice I reckon.
Just bought one. The light only lasts for 10/2,5/1h. and none of the adapter fit my sleeping mat. and you always have to fill the last air in by yourself, the tiny pump x2 doesnt have the power to get the mat filled up firmly. it's a nice gadget but it does not replace important tools, 'cause i still need my pumping bag and my camping light. edit: actually made it work to fit my mat. i somehow pulled the rubber thing on one adpater now it fits.
Nice video, thanks! I wonder: how many times can you inflate/deflate your mat on a single charge? Also, do you have any impression of the reliability/robustness of this thingy? Like have you dropped it / how many times have you used it?
I'm on the fence between the tiny pump x2 and Flextailgear Max Pump 2 PRO which is almost the same price with more capacity for a bit more weight. What are your thoughts on the two?
Depends on your purpose. The tiny pump is more than enough for camping mats etc. but if you’re inflating a kayak or something then the max has a bit more power.
I bet you could crack that open and remove the magnet if you never intend to use it, that would probably save half of the added weight over the other model
Did you have accidentally pushed the Tiny Pump on while it was in backpack? I have Tiny Pump X and last trip LED light turned on by itself inside the backpack. I guess something inside the backpack pushed that button for few seconds so the light was turned on (in my case it happened few times because the light was on its brightest setting). Can you tell if that was improved in new 2X version also? Thanks for detailed review! 😊👍
I look on the kickstart page, they say it has a 1300mAh battery, but only has a 25 minute run time. Which means this little motor is drawing 52milliamps....with no load, according to the math anyway. I wonder if its a brushed or brushless motor.
The old ones battery was around 15 minutes I think. Which has been fine for me for the last year or so. I wound not have a clue on the motor. Im not that knowledgeable. As a user I’m happy with this one. It’s an improvement on something that was already very good.
When you have all the time in the world 🌎 to blow a mat up and they come out with a faster one! I mean 46 seconds... 🤷🏼♂️ next year Tiny Pump 3... then 4... then 5... pumps your air mat up in 5 seconds 😁 Our grandfather's would be turning in their graves...back in the day they had to blow into a tube for 48 hours just to get a lifejacket inflated 😆😉
This doesn’t appear to be available in U.K.? The link is to a US outlet. I can only see the version with the tiny outlet stump as being sold in Britain which is quite irritating to use as it constantly disengages.
Not available on Amazon yet. I can't pay with Pay Pal on the kick starter link. I'm not giving my credit card info to a Chinese business. I want one but I guess I have to wait.
The thing NO one does is show homany times one of thes can pump an airmattress. This is poor as you dont fill a mattrest all the way. SO HOW MANY TIMES THIS FILL UP AN AIR MATTEST?
@@CampLifeBushcraft Oh, you mean Julie, ya know Dan, I didn't even think of that, but now you mention it................................ : ) Well shes very worse for wear, so I'll either need a new repair kit, or Julies out and Janies in.

Big thank's for test and comparison..
So funny dogs takes all fame 🤣
No problem 👍👍
“And it’s quite a tight fit..and you have to just ram it in there” 🤣

My wife knows 😅
Great explanation. I have both and I agree with you totally. Thanks and good job explaining both pumps.
I just got mine in the mail it’s totally neato
😁👍
I’ve got both versions I love the newer one!
Me too. The original doesn't get a look in anymore.
Thank you. I will inflate an inflatable kayak. Lovely!
Great video - really makes me want to buy one...which I will! Well done👍

cheers.. yeah I always forget to try it as bellows
My x is great. Less then 2 minutes to inflate my naturehike mat. It’s a very deep xl mat. The light is great on the ridge line
yup I've long been jealous of my mates one.

Yeah I’m quite pleased with it. My new favourite pump I reckon 👍
I was wondering if you was gonna mention the magnet. I had it a few weeks then one day I realized it and I was stunned!
I hadn't realised at the time 😅
Bang goes my stock of tiny x pump 🤣🤣🤣 nice few tweaks on that 2 I like it , better get on the phone to them 😎
your website says you're sold out of them.
I got it wrong, they're not quite out yet. they are gathering support with crowd funding.
@@CampLifeBushcraft got few more just in , they are out next month but more expensive about £26 ish

Really thorough review
Thanks brother for review
I'm not sure about the new version, but the Tiny Pump is the EXACT same pump as a GIGA Pump 2.0 Same Pump, same fittings and has a light in it.

I always forget that use for it.. I now own 3 of these types of pumps, last time out o forgot all of them and had to do it the old fashioned way!
Excellent improvements. This is what the 1 should have been in the first place
that could be said for many things I expect. : )
