Opposing Force Boot Camp speedrun in

- This is a segmented speedrun of Opposing Force's Boot Camp, done in 8:01 minutes or 9:14. The reason there are two times is because Zhouy's run timing starts after 1 minute (once the freeze is over), and since I skip that trigger (see explanation below), I'm able to save all that, and using Zhouy's timing it'd be 8:01. In the other parts I saved ~20s total from Zhouy's run.
Speedrun done on WON 1.1.0.7 version, using a bhop script on 83.333fps

---Intro cutscene skip---
Using the early level load glitch I am able to break the freeze trigger and move freely while the cutscene is running.
When you are loading a map, save and reload the save at the very beginning of the load, it will not get completely loaded, and that sometimes breaks some things in the map.
I had to do everything while being blinded by a fade for about 4 seconds
In 5:36 I split every shot in a segment so I can hit the target without using the laser which is a lot slower. In other words, I was manipulating luck :)
At 5:46 an annoying glitch occurred, caused by segment attempts. If you reload a save while zoomed in, the view will stay zoomed in even when you don't have a weapon. Now I didn't mind this while running but it turned out to be recorded in the demo as well, so it kinda ruins the transition :(

Even in real life, drill instructors criticize you for doing well. It's so that you don't sit on your ass all day, knowing that you can't be topped.

Must have been recycled a few times since you werent pro enough to learn everything covered in a normal 3 month cycle in just a single day in under an hour. Either that or this game's present world is in dire need of military that they train people in an hour so they can rush them out to die.
Nah this isn't actual bootcamp, it's specifically for the HECU Unit. They recruit from regular, already-trained Marines. You can tell because the DI says "I don't care what your previous unit was like, around here..." etc.

When the boot camp speedrun is 1/2 the time of the opposing force speedrun. This is great.
So why is Shepherd in boot camp? He's a corporal, the instructor even refers to him as such.
