Great idea to put RTGs in hydroponics garden. Nothing like some irradiated food
I know right. He’s thought this through very thoroughly.
Well if the extra fuel tank is anything to go on I’d say he’s got everything under control
The blutonium radiation helps keep the food warm
It's pest control hard to eat my plants when your cells are getting blasted to pieces by gamma radiation ain't it you fucking leaf cutter ant pricks.
Sorry I went to a dark place there I'm very Christian and morally upstanding typically. But fuck those things they need to be executed one by one in front of their families. Fuck with my tomato plants and see what happens. Salted earth, flames, and large doses of ionizing radiation is what will happen. God forgives, I do not.
Jack Danny ok then...
Imagine having to spend the rest of your life in a space-base located on a hill with a slight incline. Like, this is cool and all, but logistically speaking they'll have all gone mad after a month of not walking straight.
Sike! You made a Christmas special on this Colony 3 years later
"there's a great article on the wiki about how asparagus works" Matt Lowne 2017
Matt: This is so easy guys! It’s not rocket science!
Me: wait
*Wait.... That doesn't make sense at all!*
Rocket science isn't difficult, either.
TOO MANY CONTROLS!!
@@TheRojo387 it isn't, there's just too many variables, numbers, and unknown stuffs. That's why it's hard.
ye its not rocket science just nasa Big brain Time
Matt’s Logic: CAN’T LEAVE DEBREE IN SPACE!!!! Solution: Crash radioactive engines into planet surface
Just send them back home yo parachute down in one piece.
debris, not debree
IKEA + Eeloo = IKEeloo? Since you flatpacked your base inside a fairing to assemble later like IKEA furniture?
LupiDragon i
I think that IKEeloo sounds great. Time to open shop
TRIGGERED
Might change to SCP-3009 lol
@@Minecrafter6818 _probably_ not until the landscaping/tunneling expansion...
Last time I was this early Eeloo didn't exist

v0.18.2 ftw
Your ksp vids are some of the best around. Interesting and they inspire some of my builds

i'm italian and your videos (and scott manley's videos) are motivating me to learn english...You deserve more subs :DD
Zanghi Interesting, I’m English and learning Italian
So you are not the only one...
just got my first probe to eeloo today, feels great
"it's the death wobble, there is probably a better term"
no, no there is not.
That's an awesome base you have there Matt! When is the housewarming party?
Honestly, Mark, you and Matt are the best KSP RUclipsrs there are. No bullsh*t, straight to the point, and good quality, entertaining videos!
Thanks!
BLAZE baby's what?
Jonathan Adams what about Marcus house?he is good to
It's going to be cold on Eeloo no matter how many housewarming parties you host
I suppose it's great how there's somehow 45 minutes of narration crammed into a 13 minute video, impressive!

*Deploys Thermal Control System*
*Immediately starts to overheat*
Lol
Jupiter, Let me land on you and stop eating my response ckets!
To build bases I just use USI colonization systems and drop of a ship with tons of materialkits and then drop off a DIY box with the base assigned to it and have the ship already their build it,then I send the crew in transport ships.
wow thanks! You just told me how to get rid of the death wobble, nearly tore apart my fledgeling space station, lost several fuel tanks, now I know how to avoid it! marvy
That bit where you actually showed you press f9 had me going. Love it
I really like your closing music with screenshot; it's a little moment of zen that I appreciate. Wonderful work!
I'm really enjoying these voiceover videos matt!
Cool one Matt, nice use of your classic narrative style.
7:00 the kerbals go nuts and start freaking out or something.
Very inspiring, thanks! :) Now to try and finally build a base on Minmus... :D
#MattLowneIsAwesomeInKSP
We jus gonna ignore how matt fought back against the kraken and won
this is an amazingly well made video, i just bought kerbal space program partly because of this. Thank you for helping a brother out!
Same im about to get it
astronauts:so houston, how can we go back home?
*No one:*
Can we talk about the perfect warp at 2:00
Alright, to the meeting room, also discuss why most of our company's rockets blow up without being cringy in design.
i swear he mention the oberth effect in every single video
I challenge you to make a flyable car. That goes to Eeloo and back.
DarthGamer Plays That's Hazard-ish's job.
that's Elon Musk's job
You know if Matt won't do it, Scott will.
hi hi Elon Musk’s Car lol
why not just ask elon musk? he is the best one in the art of the space car
Its funny to hear this Star Trek Online Music playing at the beginning 😂👌🏻
Your ship designs are phenomenal, I wish I could build as efficiently and as good as you do. I am subscribed for some more awesome content!
it's official. the UK has officially conquered the kerbol system, all thanks to a chap with a monocle who flies single-launch bases. nicely done.
(p.s. the "chap" as in matt lowne, not my profile picture)
Damn, and I felt proud just for getting a little ion probe into high Eeloo orbit.
Could you make building tutorial?? Both Beginner and advanced :)
Great build, excellent video! But I have to ask, would that refinery be of any practical use or is it just aesthetic? Cause it doesn't look like you can do anything with the once it has been collected.
Thank you for your wonderful videos Matt! I always enjoy watching them!
Tip: Use action groups to detach the goddamn monoprop tanks
3:00 that's actually incredibly realistic, despite looking like an engine bug. The Soviets encountered a very similar problem with their first space station
I really love your british accent :D

This is a very nice base. The way that I do my missions to other planets is:
1) Send a satellite
2) Send a rover to find a base location
3) Send a Space Station and crew (if possible put it in a geosynchronous orbit over base location)
4) Send a Kerbal return ship and dock it with the station
5) Send a refueling barge OR a orbital refueling ship that can fly up and down from the planet/moon
6) Send a base and rover truck
7) Send crew to base with a craft capable of orbiting and docking with space station
After all of that you have a station, a ground base, a refueling platform, a way to ship fuel from ground to orbit, a way to fly from ground to orbit and vice versa, and a way to fly home and back. After all that I try to set up 5or so landing zones with small structures and refueling stations and a satellite network. That way i can fly or "jump" all over the planet and send ships back and forth. I treat this the same way as "completing the level" and think of it like I have set up industry on the planet. You could use mods to give your bases more uses but I just like part mods and some like Prop Monitor, and Scan Sat, and Hangers if i'm worried about part count.
Another thing you can do about space debris, which has the advantage of giving you LOTS of practice at rendevous & docking too, is build a de-orbiter satellite. Basically it needs a claw, quite low thrust but lots of fuel (so you don't have to keep refuelling it all the time - ion engines are good but expensive). You claw onto the debris, pull it's periapsis down into the atmosphere, let go of it, then push your periapsis back up again. If you're doing this with ion thrusters and solar panels, make sure you've got enough thrust to do BOTH maneuvers on the day side of the planet!
I've no idea how I missed this. It's a good one!
A little while after I began the game I made my way to the Mun. Unfortunately, I had no RCS or SAS control because all my pilots were stranded... on the Mun. Yes. I preformed a near perfect, manual Mun orbit, spotting, and landing.
Also I stranded my pilots there because they were all in one ship when they crash landed. I was (if not still) an idiot.
9:00
And all the Kerbals onboard are having seizures, so...
Ah, you could have used those spared fuel tanks for the Eeloo landing as relay stations!
You, sir, have earned yourself a subscriber.
the fairings were more big that the base, haha

I may not be able to do this kind of thing but I can find inspiration from youtubers like yourself
the way you dramatize.. man it just makes me smile. you should do it more.
+Shadowlogic420 haha thanks
you should make a series on the Mun like expedition eve
you should make a series on the Mun like expedition eve)
can you do a tutorial in how to build multi launch bases e.g. one on mun
+
along with how to land them
Check out kerbal space command. He has probably the best videos on how to deign and assemble bases and stations.
I did one on my first try tbh, landed it on duna, its easier then it sounds if you just copy the designs of most people.
That Is Soooo Awesome Matt
He is using words i cannot comprehend and i have a diverse vocabulary
yes put your garden right next to your rtgs it will make the plants taste better. it will also make them glow. lol
Me at the same time struggling to build a simple Mun lander that actually comes back to Kerbin^^
You could just make a huge ship out of 1 of the fairing pieces.
I guess it'll become a _spaceship_
I'll see myself out.
wait... if the landing boosters had solar panels and one of those radar things could you make a viable com system with them?
You COULD, but satelites cover a much bigger area.
We choose to go to Eeloo in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard!
I actually started building bases on Eeloo - because if you can do it there, you can do it anywhere!
Jett Quasar but can you make a base on the surface if Jool?
This is so awesome, thanks Matt, i have been waiting to see another base.
i think there awesome and is been forever since you made a eeloo video
This just made my day!
12:53 Eating an invisible sandwich.
When is the next expedition eve? it's the whole reason I subscribed.
Omg the RTG's made that SOOO expensive.
lol loved that f9 shot
Great little video, thanks!
Matt lowne = ksp GOD
I think Eve deserves some more moons. It has such a large and powerful gravitational influence; you'd think it would catch some good celestial game.
it was planned, but the guy who made the celestials left the Squad
Yes, but most of Eve's hellish reputation with take-off comes from it's atmospheric drag, and due to it's close proximity to Kerbol, most objects are moving to fast to be caught by Eve's gravity. In a scientific sense, but yeah the other guy was right, the guy who made all the planets left Squad, and they just simply worked with what he'd left behind, with a few tweaks here and their.
Really nice video man. I really liked it and btw I was good enough in this game and knew how to fly to any farther then Minmus I would take those thrusters and lunch them for a low orbit around Eloo
omg dude you could've used the landing rockets as satelites for mapping and communication with the kerbals in the base 24/7. great video as always
Your a Wizard
Matt Lowne
Who else thinks it would be cool if KSP was online?
Could have maybe slapped antennae onto those unneeded bits, put them into orbit around Eeloo, and used them as communications relays back to Kerbin.
TRIGGERED 10:42. 😂
NICE ! I think an Eeloo base was the most requested thing on your channel ;p
And you still haven't answered to my tweet : What's your favorite drink and how much does it cost ? ( I'm guessing beer :D ) Cuz I want to buy you one to thank you for so much HQ content !
Haha must've missed that! My favourite Alcoholic drink is Stella Artois Black, my favourite non-alcoholic is the orange Monster energy ;) You don't have to buy me one though!
Matt Lowne come up to Manchester pal I'll buy you one yeah
Matt Lowne What About Kracken Beer

@@MattLowne you must be a wife beater
YAY!!!! 50K SUBS!!!!!!!!
that feel when i cant even get to mun
Best song for the start ;) ice cap zone 2 i think
Easy Sub!!! great video and straight to the KSP geeky action!
ha just saw your channel trailer! Amazing lmao!
Matt, I genuinely enjoy your work and dedication. It makes for a really good piece of entertainment. Thanks :)
Just hit F9....... Dead XD
Leo Meyer I don’t play ksp what does f9 do?
If your ship has more than 100 parts, it detaches all the parts. It was a bug in this version but it's now fixed.
Cycling Cycles *feature
@@jackeyboy6538 LOL
you could have used fuel cells since you have fuel production
would consume fuel. Worse than infinite for nothing/sun
@@IKTeam he has ISRU
He's so wasteful. I would be inclined to recover the landing rockets, by dending them to parachute back onto Kerbin!
Could you use a refinery and fuel cells for power?
What I do is make a trailer capable of being returned to orbit. ISRU means I don't have to worry about fuel. Just get everything into orbit and then I can take my time shipping it back and forth to the surface. Usually I have an orbital station as well.
Matt! We have the same keyboard! (not sure why i commented about it tho)
AeroGeek16 regardless that's pretty interesting
you commented it because you want likes
matt speaks !!
what amazes me that you have managed to align the center of thrust and center of mass (seriously how?)
It's so weird watching this in 2020
Damn, I wish I could play like you... amazing video!
The nice kerbal way :p
EDIT : oooooooo... AN at the end ^^
Lol you smashed ur finger into f9 I'm laughing so hard! 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Matt but what about expedition Eve??😃
thats pretty cool if only i were this adept at ksp-ing
4:46
NASA would not get in this kind of situation!XD
Let it be here, the British has finały landed on Eeloo
Oh my gosh look at his game, it's so cool.
I’ve only done minmus bases and assembled them with basically a probe core claw rcs rcs tanks and a clampotron for neat base connection
