Great video, my husband and I are cycling this roure next year but the other way around, starting at Fort William. So its interesting to see the route, the scenery is amazing.
@@kimbarnetson3297 Thank you 😊 Really glad you enjoyed the video! It’s a great route, I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic trip. Scotland has so many beautiful cycle trails, have you cycled there before?
Ah, a lovely sing song on the road Betty and the cafe's back up the hill. The song now is, 'we've cycled steep hills and now we go back - for a cafe we're busting our back.' Ha ha! Great ride out tic tactics and all. The weather was on your side. All the best. Mark
I was so grumpy going back up that hill haha! He got an ear full! I love your additional verse will add that in. Tics are sneaky, glad it came out in one piece! How’s the swim training going?
@@TheGirlGoneNomad I can imagine that especially if a long way back. Ah, the song evolves. Good to know the tic came out. Swimming? A nice 4.2 K yesterday. 10 K is the aim but my shoulders been sore - just sussed out it's a strength deficiency in the rotator cuff so I'm on that muscle group now. All good!
@@WyeExplorer To me 4.2km sounds like a pretty long way! Are you going in the river or a local lake? Or are you training in the pool? Good to have found the route of the soreness, hope with some targeted training all is well.
@@TheGirlGoneNomad It's OK Betty-an easy swim really. I'm training in the pool at the moment - for speed. I will be back in the rivers. Yeah, targeted! Have a great day my friend. Peace.
Ah thank you Linda! Nothing like a spontaneous sing song 😊 Don’t think we’ll be quitting our day jobs anytime soon though, might need some auto tuning 😂
Fantastic trip. Love the drone shots. In the middle of winter here in New England, I’ve already pulled a bunch of ticks off my dog today. They are relentless here, hoping they are less frequent there.
Thanks Seth 😊 I cut out the part where I tried to catch the drone and chopped into my finger. Lesson learned! Ah I can only imagine how many the dog can scoop up running through the rough. We seem to get them more in the summer, they don’t like letting go though that’s for sure!
Hi Chris, sorry for the slow reply! Yes it is a two person MSR tent, Elixir 2 Tent V2. Serve us really well and easy to pack onto the bikes. Thanks again for watching!
Ah wish I’d been able to do it. I like the sound of pretty flat! Have you done it as a return leg? Sadly we ran out of time and had to get home for work.
@@TheGirlGoneNomad My youngest daughter and I did a camping trip to Oban (Rose View camp site) and cycled up the cycle route as far as Appin, crossed over to Lismore and then back via the ferry direct to Oban (which we caught after a mad cycle ride along the spine of the island to catch it). Most of that route is old railway so a very easy ride and you get to go over the spectacular Connell Ferry Bridge. You've got an excuse for another trip and video I think!
@@ADAMEDWARDS17 What a great round trip. Noting like racing the ferry as an extra challenge! Sounds like a fantastic route. I think you have definitely inspired another cycle for me there. Have you got any bike trips planned for this year?

Fab video but shame you missed the ride from Fort William to Oban which is amazaing (and pretty flat.)

The 'Great Glen Way' is actually on the other side of Loch Ness, but never mind!
