I would love to see this, MK9 at has the best roster and arguably the best story mode out of all 3 NRS MK games. Plus it has tag team too. I still need that Shaolin Monks remastered or sequel as well.

MK9’s Tag Team mode is fantastic. I like NetherRealm Studios, but I don’t know why they didn’t bother bringing Tag Team mode back.
In their words, it was the LEAST used mode in the game. Unfortunate, but that's the statistics.

My friends and I used to jump between Marvel vs Capcom 3 & MK9 (mainly tag team mode) back in those days.
@@Monkforilla I remember when MK first came out. I had a party at my house just to play the game. A bunch of my friends came over and we had tournaments. The tag team mode was by far the most entertaining part of the night. It was a blast.

@@thatonequeergundamfan71 Well you can’t be right nor wrong since you say that’s your opinion. How I feel about those designs is that they’re great for 2 reasons with 1 being the battle damage. From chunks of skin being peeled and clothes being ripped and bloodied, it feels very on par with the level of violence MK has always been about. 2nd reason is fanservice🤷🏾♂️ like why can’t we have both over the top violence and over the top sexiness? I can get that dressing in a non-conservative manner wouldn’t fit some kharacters like Sonya or Kitana but it would be nice to have them as options to use and see.

MK9 Remastered would be amazing!! I have this conversation with my friends all the time…we all played MK9 nonstop and we wish that MK9 released for modern consoles. Improve net code, a complete rebalance of the characters, 4K visuals, and a few new stages and characters…also maybe a new challenge tower and that would be it..

Earthrealm would make sense as a name for a sister studio to Netherrealm. But maybe Chaosrealm would make more sense for a studio made to make spinoffs since it would be a bit more unpredictable on what their projects would be.

To answer your question, I want to see Ben 10 (the 16 year old version specifically) in Injustice. If Beast Boy gets in, which I’m pretty sure he will, cuz he’s probably the most requested character at this point, then I don’t think Ben 10 wouldn’t be too much of a hassle.

I've said it a couple times already, but... I'm hoping for MK12 to be a "MK Trilogy" of sorts, with content from MK9, X and 11... with 9 and X's characters updated to 11's face-scan style of course.

DICE's Battlefield: sent away with jetpacks and flying boats...the way I see it, you're all ungrateful. You don't know what it's like to spend hours upon hours upon YEARS of time and effort into a franchise just for some dodo to come stumbling around the corner, climb the ranks, and erase all that you created. It's the stagnation that creates the mediocrity. In this industry you gotta keep evolving. And I think Rocksteadys series has ended on a good note, if it keeps going the true ungrateful would burn out on it, or complain that the devs burnt out.whos the ungrateful one... if Boon can't hack it no more, collaborate with newer devs or step aside...

MK 30th anniversary logo has all the remasters right in front of our faces. Mk1,2,gold, trilogy, deadly alliance, deception, Armageddon and Mk9 are all in that logo REMASTERED.

I was playing God of War Ragnarok yesterday and there was a line of dialogue that referenced MK9 and Kratos being on it. I hope they make it backwards compatible, gotta dust off those servers!
My dream guest character for an NSR game would be Homelander. In terms of dlc in general I'd want Morpheus from The Sandman since he's one of my favorite DC characters and if he were to be in Injustice he most definitely wouldn't be on the main roster

As a huge Evil Dead fan, I gotta go with Ash, especially from all the hype in mk11. I could only hope for Doom Guy as well, but I've been thinking about an oddball character. Imagine Horace Pinker from Shocker played by Mitch Pileggi. He's got charisma, gimmick for fighting, and ruthlessly murders people. I highly recommend the movie it's a fun time.

For a potential guest character, I’m thinking about Homelander from The Boys making into MK12. He can play like a pseudo clone of Superman from Injustice w/ some callbacks to the show and comics through fatalities, intros/outros, etc. Plus it would be nice to see Anthony Starr’s face replicated into a new NRS engine.
That's a good pick honestly. There's also a sequel to IT coming decently soon, so Pennywise might actually have a chance also.

In Liu Kang's bio in tha original game he entered the tournament to avenge his brother Chow. So him having a brother is canon to the story unless that was retconned in 9.

BEST News I've heard in a while, I love the MK9 Story and all the characters but I've never actually gotten to play it. I could only play MKX on the PS4 when it came out, and it's a great game but MK9 looks so much better. And again, the story is just *chef's kiss!!*👌👌
I would like a Remastered MK9, SM and MK4 remake. I wish we had an MK 30th Anniversary Kollection. With all the mainline MK games including Shaolin Monks. That would be awesome.

First of all WHERE IS OUR SHAOLIN MONKS REMAKE!?! So many things made MK9 one of the best but one thing I loved were all of the stage fatalities..I miss the levels where you could knock them into the next level of the stage. Armageddon or Deception did this well. The story mode in 9 was by far the best. 9 brought a lot of nostalgia and brought the fans back. Countless hours beating up the homies on the couch. 💪

The only problem with making a "full-roster" of Mortal Kombat and bringing back all previous characters... is that Hsu Hao would need to be brought back too!
I will say the problem with them making a full roster would be the signs of Mortal Kombat ending like they did for Smash Bros

Dude, if MK 9 gets remastered for every console I'd be beyond happy. That news alone to me is better than MK 11 lol. I also feel like the Mileena question regarding "in the next MK game likely, in the next NRS game kan't say" this makes me believe their next game that'll come out is NOT MK related at all...thinking it's a comic book or possibly horror fighting game. Just a guess off of that answer.
As for dream character? Tie between Michael and Chucky, they've given us every other major horror known icon, time for them to shine in MK 12.
Chucky would not work due to his size. His hit box would be incredibly small, and that would make him difficult to fight against.
@@SlasherIncorporated Chucky would work fine, they put in D'vorah's bug thing which is way smaller and flies no less lol Chucky would be fine, besides MVC2 has servebot which is way smaller than Chucky would be. All NRS has to do is tweak the hitbox, he would work not a big deal. People think Chucky is like 15 inches...he's literally 30 inches but for a game they can just increase his height slightly and tweak the hit boxes not a big deal.
@@MKF30 Bug-Vorah isn't a main fighter, though. It only comes out at the end after D'Vorah has been defeated if you have that selected as part of her moveset. And it's annoying as hell to fight against. Chucky would be just as irritating. It would be like fighting against Yoda in Soul Calibur IV. He had a huge advantage because of his small size. It IS a big deal.
@@SlasherIncorporated Doesn't have to be a main fighter though when you still have to fight it in a match the bug is still a playable character and you have to fight it until you hit the bug which is flying in the air with a tiny hitbox.
Chucky would be earthbound and he'd be much bigger than servebot from MVC which is annoying to deal with but not impossible.
To be fair there's quite a few characters busted or OP in MK 11 annoying to fight from Scorpion to Jacqui etc. Give me Chucky over both lol I'd rather deal with him than that bs in KL. Yoda in SC4 was also 3D based which made it harder, but 2D engine is easier. Serverbot proved this so I have no issue with Chucky so NOT a big deal...
Man if they can make kratos available for all platforms that’s be a win. Ooooh if it’s the more recent kratos that’d be cool too but I’d still prefer Greece kratos

Would love to see some of the Mk Armageddon characters (Reiko, shujinko, shinok, li mei with her deadly alliance costume as well, Sareena, nitara, Kira & jade with her Armageddon costume) back in Mk 9 remastered. Plus make war from Darksiders an unlockable character.
If the next nrs project is mk12, I honestly would love to see doom slayer show up. Doom is one of my all time favorite game franchises, so if doom slayer showed up. My life would be so complete.
If I had to choose at least one or two guest characters, I would choose the Bride from Kill Bill because the action in that movie was pretty sick and I think it would work out in MK and my second character would be the most underrated female character from an underrated horror comic, Cassie Hack, (from Hack/Slash comic) the best hunter of all time slashers and I think she would be so dope in MK, because she's practically has a great skill set besides her friendly giant butcher partner Vlad who is known as the Meatman. If they were going to put them in, I think they would be similar to Ferra/Torr from MKX. So yeah, those are my choices.

One of the only guest characters I want for mk12 is homelander. Think about it his way of "saving people" in the boys really shows how well he can fit in a fighting game specifically and Mk title

I think they both could have some cool fatalities. I could also see them both dying in brutal ways and people not making a big deal about it
NRS really needs to expand beyond fighting games. MK has so many characters and lore, they can use these characters in action games, platformers, beat-em ups like Shaolin Monks, and a freaking cool RPG with a storyline that NRS has been praised for.
I'd love more MK beat em ups in the realm of SOR style or Shaolin monks.
I'd definitely like Xena Warrior Princess in a MK game. I feel she fits. And the N64 game was pretty fun back in the day.

bit of research there are 62 characters in Armageddon that was everyone in mortal kombat games past and newer characters so maybe when Ed boon said hitting a 100 characters the rest of the 38 characters are the ones newer ones from the more modern games?
*Candyman, Ghostface, and Lerperchaun would be cool as hell in MK*
