Watching look and then run into that open space he was the first to see that and the finish sublime. I'm glad how honest he is when he says all of this is a small price to pay for being a footballer, The price you pay is unbelievably small in the grand scheme of things.
For normal people, Raising a fammily is a much bigger price to pay, When you have a child for normal working people, Thats 10 grand a year out of the working wages gone, No more lavish holidays, No more new car every few years, No more big treats, no more going out for meals when you feel like it, The price these pay is so small in comparison to that of normal people trying to raise a fammily, Money makes things much more easier, and thats the fact of it.

Agree with you. McTominay will find himself at the end of his career in his 30s with millions in the bank, hopefully other assets he has invested sensibly in, and a lot of life to lead.
If he can avoid serious injury he will have a fantastic life by comparison with 99.99% of his peers. I don't feel sorry for him or any other top flight footballer. The ones who get injured and find themselves in much lower leagues or out of the game in their early 20s deserve sympathy. Not the millionaire success stories

O’Shea, Brown, Fletcher etc United always had these players that aren’t starting quality but are good people, personalities and came through the youth system and understand the club. All big game players too.
The people who wanna get rid are clueless. You need these characters in your squad, not as starters but just as rotation and back up options. His wages are insignificant compared to anybody else’s especially considering he’s our top goalscorer this year lmao, he’s homegrown and it costs us nothing to keep him in the squad.
The 30-40m we would get for him can’t replace what he brings to the team.

People listen to these interviews, see they’re a good guy and decide they should stay. Mctominay is a good guy don’t get me wrong, but he needs to go. Not near the level of player we need to compete for top 4. Would Liverpool or City have him in their team? No. Whatever happens tho I hope he’s successful wether at Utd or not.

    • @and2good2

But the problem is not so much him as it is that the rest of his teammates are dogshit. Sure it would be nice to have 22 players on the level of Messi. But a player like McTominay is the perfect squad player for United. He has his head on straight, does a massive impact of the bench and provide something different in terms of playstyle to the other players. But think about other squad players through the years, like Fletcher og Park. Think about if they where needed to carry the team as McTominay has been doing for times at the United, then they would have struggled as well.
Another problem is also that the managers at the united keeps playing him as number 6, when he instead should play further up the pitch,
