You, Jayda, are my favorite tutorial instructor! You speak plainly, you move slowly and repeat stitches more than once. Repeating verbal and visual instructions are important for me. You stick to instructions with helpful hints and do not wander off on other subjects (annoying). Thanks so much! P.S., I am very new to crocheting, but really want to try the fan stitch for a baby blanket. You make it look like I just might be successful! :o)

If you need to see the video as you’re stitching you can slow the speed down to where it’s in slow motion. The only drawback it’s slow’s the audio as well. It’s kind of funny listening to.

I have watched a lot of crochet videos and by far yours are the best. I am new to crocheting and your videos make it easy to learn. You explain everything so well and show what you are doing. It is GREAT to see someone do that and not just keep repeating the same thing and working so fast that you can't keep. up. THANK YOU!!

Finally someone with a nice and happy voice, that is able to explain well and beginner friendly, without talking to much. It is really annoying when someone explains the same thing over and over again (we are beginners and not idiots, right?), so it feels like they read a whole book to explain one single stitch. And you are sitting there in front of your screen and you think, PLEAAASE come to the point ! This is my first of your videos and i am already a big fan of you ! I hope you make more tutorials about stitches and hopefully also some bigger projects like simple vests or so ... Thank you much for taking your time to make this tutorial

I subscribed to your channel many months ago, but I’ve had little time to watch. But today I’m sick in bed and I’ve finally gotten around to watching many of your videos. You have entertained me for the last 5 or so hours. I can’t crochet today as I’ve a shoulder injury, but in my mind I’ve made a scarf, some blankets, two shawls, and some donuts! Your simple way of explaining things is easy to understand and pleasant to hear. Mr. Stitches is too. I’m not done watching you today, but I thought I’d just take a break and thank you for all your hard work. I’m glad to see your channel is a success. May God bless your days to come.

Thanks for this video Jayda. I have watched it several times. I will make it soon. I watch crochet videos every day. I have just finished a Red Heart pattern today. I have made several hats using your pattern. You are one of the easiest people to watch. Even when I like a person's designs, I sometimes have trouble following people, but you are so easy, and I feel that I can do it!!!!!. I don't know where you found this pattern, but I would say that it is one of the prettiest ones on RUclips. Can't wait to try it. Thanks so much. You are a ray of happy sunshine, Jayda! I wish I had found this tutorial sooner. I have 16 G-children who are too old to get a baby blanket now but two more grandbabies are expected, plus a couple of great-grandbabies. I love this stitch pattern so much. I've already started a lovely lilac fan stitch baby blanket. I have attempted this stitch several times in the past but got all confused. I'm doing great now, thanks to you. I'm subscribed for future inspiration!!!

Loving this blanket pattern. I noticed as you were adding the border at the foundation chain...I don't find it any problem to add the boarder. But I usually like using the back part of the foundation to start the first row of any pattern. It leaves a nice clean edge, so that if you need to add another part of whatever you're making. It makes it easier. Just a thought.

Love the video. And you've taught me a new word! Copacetic. Even though English is my native language, I'd never heard this word before (I'm not from North America). Thanks for your great videos. Very helpful.

Jayda, just wanted you too know, I love your videos showing us how to crochet a pattern... You make it very easy to understand what to do, you do not rush through but make sure we understand.. Thanks you made this project for me very enjoyable... my first row didnt look as nice as yours but figured when I put border on that will straighten that edge out.... Thank you again. this is the second blanket i have done on your videos....

Hi Dolly, thank you so much for watching :) The first row of most stitch patterns might look a little wonky but I find they get pulled into shape once the next few rows are added and you're absolutely right, adding a border cleans up all of our edges!
