Although I found this amazing castle tutorial just recently, I just wanted to let Blue know that I am building it in SkyBlock survival. Didn't notice anyone else is doing that. With advanced stone generator and villager trading I do not have any problems with resources. Just didn't start growing dark oak yet. I also made minor changes and made castle unspawnable even in dark.

youve outdone yourself once again, Cant wait to continue this build, right now its the centerpiece in a realistic gen world in my central rolpelay friend group, so keep it up! Keep the great work up, cant wait to see part 3!
Thanks buddy, yeah this one is going to be my main series for now i'm planning to go through the entire series so that there's no big gaps between episodes. 👍
Who actually thinks texturing is fun. I start stress eating whenever those words are said.
Lmao I just don’t do it
Each section you do count the blocks lets say you have an 8x8 that's 64 blocks. Decide which blocks you want and how much of each you want. Say you want equal parts stone and stone brick and the wall is already stone. Grand half a stack (32) of stone bricks. You want some cobble so say about 12 blocks throw out 6 stone bricks. You want some andesite 8 will do, throw out 4 stone bricks. 2 polished andesite throw out one more stone brick. Now texture the wall until your used all the blocks you grabbed. Since you have your intended goal planned out you know you're doing the right thing and it stays consistent.
i genuinely enjoy it
I am loving this medieval castle. I got as far as episode 13 and lost the castle so I have to do again. Love it.

Measurements are all good. I also made a few little mistakes in part 1 because of the sheer scale of the castle, just go back and double check every single thing if you're off by a block somewhere.

Here's a tip that will save you dozens of hours of texturing. I love this series, Blue's medieval aesthetic is one of my favorites. But after building this the hard way twice already, I finally bit the bullet. There is SO much stonework that texturing it all block-by-block might actually be considered cruel and unusual punishment. So to spare yourself the tears, try building two cloning walls about 50 blocks off ground level, smack in the middle of your build site. Make them about 25 high and 20 or so wide, with one running North/South and one running East/West. Spend 20 minutes texturing them both to your satisfaction, then give yourself a command block and that will be nearly all the texturing you'll need to do for the ENTIRE build. If you've never used the clone command, watch some vids to sort out how it works first, but it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. Then, when you need a wall, you just go copy a piece that's the desired size from one of your pre-textured cloning walls and BOOM! You're done! By varying where you copy your pieces from, you can easily ensure that you end up with a beautifully random finish texture. For the tallest and widest walls, just snip two or more pieces, or build your cloning walls a bit bigger. It's a lot of coordinates, granted, but still way easier and light-years FASTER than texturing every wall by hand. Another tip, you can use structure blocks to build your exterior wall sections to save a ton of time as well. On a flat area outside your construction site, build four of the five block wide exterior wall sections, one facing North, one South, one East and one West. Give yourself a structure block and watch some vids to learn how it works. Once you've figured out the mechanics, you can save each section of wall then duplicate it wherever needed, in whichever direction needed. There are FOURTY-FOUR exterior wall sections in the build, doing it with structure blocks means you only have to build four of them, then just load the rest. WAY easier! Props to Blue for building such an excellent castle that I'm back for a THIRD TIME 😂😂😂
Here I go again, I'm gonna finish this one. This year too.😊
@@joycesamshogan7947 If you use the clone command to build all the larger stone walls, avoiding all that texturing, the castle exterior can be done quicker than you imagine. Of course, you might see coordinates in your sleep for a few days! Lol 😂
@@joycesamshogan7947 And don't be intimidated by the command block. Most commands are easy enough to use, finding a tutorial that explains them CLEARLY is the tricky part. Basic commands like /fill, /setblock, and /clone all work on the same principle, using sets of coordinates to place your blocks. Don't get me wrong, I build most things block by block, but on large projects with texture or intricate details, using commands can save you hundreds of hours of tedious work which sometimes detracts from the fun of building 👍
me and my friends started building this today ( we decided to build a castle 3 days ago but we had to landscape) we are using quarts and cobblestone instead of andisite and stone and it looks rlly good, we used birch instead of spruce too
we r making it a pride themed castle so we have pride flags replacing the flag on the front, its a really good build so far thank you or making these videos

Hey Blue! I'm at 32:29 and I only needed four blocks to reach the connecting tower .. the count that you do right after this part matches everything else I've put down, and the tower is in the place it ought to be -- thoughts on where I went wrong?
Thankyou!
Hey Murreki, this is the most common spot where people have gone wrong. Usually it's related to the tower where it gets built one block to far back. Double check you wall behind the tower (right hand side of the castle behind tower), you should have a 12 block wall then the tower, many people have built the tower on the 12th block making the wall 11 blocks long instead of 12, that is most likely where you have gone wrong so just double check that first, if that all lines up then maybe send me some pics on my discord around the build and i should be able to spot the issue. :)
This has been so much fun to make so far but my brain is melting.
Mine too, but I'm determined now.

Hello! First of all, fabulous work! I am so enjoying the tutorials. I have done everything correctly up until now, one little problem. on exactly 32:29 you begin to connect the weird shaped platform to the tower's wall and the block you are counting are 5 for the platform until the tower's wall. Why is it that I count 6? I have gone back and counted all the dimensions, including all the dimensions on the snake like shaped platform you just finished on 32:29. How is this possible?
How did u make it? Cause I count 6 too
@@matias9817 I never tried to find out what's wrong so I continued building with the wrong dimensions. Let me tell you, for just 1 wrong block, it fucked me in the ass hard! The whole roof later was crooked. Never finished the whole project because the server I was playing at died.

Hey blue nerd. For your next series you should make something like the docks and the castle, but all of them should be together in one huge series.
Hey Gundy, my castle and docks are all part of the same series. The Castle is set behind back of the docks :)
Yeah, I know. (I also built the docks) but what I’m trying to say is that you should make one huge series with like 60 parts. I’m not trying to force you to do it, because that is a lot of work, but I can tell you dedicated to what you build. Your next series should be one unlike any other, or even a series that has unlimited parts until it ends, but this series is also AMAZING! :)
I’m working on this as we speak in pure vanilla survival...
This is an amazing build! The kids are excited to see the end as we build along. Thank you for this!
Wait, the number of wall sections is different in the beginning of this video compared to the first tutorial you made for this series. I'm confused... are we still doing 3 wall sections on each side of the main gate?
Hey Sarah, i'm not sure what you mean the castle still has 3 sections at each side of the gate just like I did in part one. The part i show at the beginning is just showing the city gate area for those that followed along in my docks/harbours series so that the castle can be placed in the same location. 😀
In survival I’m making this but the castle and some other important buildings will be on floating islands. U get up through water streams and the islands will have bridges connecting them while the rest of the village is on the ground
That is an awesome idea! Hope everything goes well!
32:45 I only have 4 so I rage quit because everything else matches perfectly so idk where I fucked up but it pissed me off so I'm done
