    Thanks a lot for this really helpful video. The only thing I don’t like that much of this filter is that I feel we are going to waist too much filtered water in other stuff like cleaning dishes, etc. Instead of using the filtered water mostly to drink. What I’m gonna do (I already bought this filter) is to use a splitter in the cold water supply valve, from there i am going to connect one line to the sink and the other one to the filter, then the out line from the filter I am going to connect it to the Hot water inlet of the sink. So I’m going to have in my sink, normal water in one side and Filtered water in the other side (I will shut down the hot water inlet of my sink). I think this way wont affect my “normal” water pressure, and my filters will last more time to be replaced because I will use the filtered water mostly to drink. What do you think? Thanks a lot!

    • @boswater6065
      @boswater6065  2 года назад +8

      When washing dishes, I just turn in my medium or hot water. I rarely wash with only cold water unless it’s so hot out in summer and I want to cool down. So I personally wouldn’t say doing a second line would be necessary. Because when using hot water, you have no filtered water coming out. And when using medium water, you only have half cold. So the waste may not be as much as you think. Hope this helps!

    • @h8GW
      @h8GW Год назад +2

      Or just keep using the filters until you notice a flow reduction, instead of the "recommended" replacement intervals. The filters really shouldn't be letting stuff through.
      I don't like drinking water scaremongering outside of Flint. That being said, I AM using a ANSI 42 Insinkerator for my daily thermos refills, with groundwater from Long Island. Even if it doesn't filter to a stricter required certification level, I am told it still removes the vast majority of the contaminants.

    • @boswater6065

      Filters are recommended to be replaced once a year or every 2,000 gallons which comes down to 5.5 gallons/day. One set of filters is currently priced at around $400.

    I just got my Clearly Filtered water installed but the water from it is very cloudy with visible particles. This is after I let the water running for more than 10 mins. Not sure what to do but this is making me nervous if this safe to drink. Any advice for me?

    • @boswater6065
      @boswater6065  Год назад

      Hm, we didn't have that issue. The manual says to flush the system for as long as it takes for the water to run clear. The cloudiness is probably only water bubbles which is nothing to worry about.

  • @AnwaarAliOfficial

    The filter connects to the cold water line only, but the most people use hot water or hot water mixed with cold to wash dishes, which means you're not getting clean water unless you're only using cold water to wash dishes.

    • @boswater6065
      @boswater6065  6 месяцев назад +1

      Right, but do you really need filtered water washing your dishes? Let's say some of the contaminants would stick to your dishes - the amount would be incredibly tiny, and you can still rinse with filtered water if you wanted to.

    • @AnwaarAliOfficial
      @AnwaarAliOfficial 6 месяцев назад

      @@boswater6065 That was my point. There should be a separate faucet installed just for the filtered water otherwise you're wasting the filtered water unless you want the filtered water to wash dishes.

    • @boswater6065
      @boswater6065  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes. Although the filter is only connected to the cold water line. So the hot water is unfiltered.

      That's right, RO systems also remove the good minerals, but you can remineralize. In the end, it comes down to what you prefer.

      Great question. This depends on how your feed water tastes. Because the CF doesn't remove minerals, these will enrich the flavor of the filtered water, too.

    How many of the contaminants removed by this system was in your water to start with?
    I find that it doesn't matter how many contaminants a company claims to remove, if they're not the ones in YOUR water.
    The Clearly Filtered Pitcher removes the most of MY contaminants.
    I've had a Berkey, a ProOne gravity system (better than Berkey), an Aquatru, an Aquasana under sink, a ProOne Pitcher, and now a Clearly Filtered Pitcher. I'm most comfortable with the CF Pitcher. But when I need to be absolutely sure my water is pure, I drink Aquafina bottled. Just don't like the cost, inconvenience, and waste. Otherwise, I wouldn't even deal with home filtering systems.

    I bought an RO system based off this channel’s reviews. It’s a counter-top filter. I had a friend come over and see it and was really interested in some under the counter filters for her own home. They asked me to do some research.
    ….are you seriously concerned about water you clean with that you’re not consuming? I’m kind of embarrassed I recommended your channel.

  • @ultrainstinct8392
    @ultrainstinct8392 6 месяцев назад +2

    This is not helpful or useful as a review because you do not even do a simple chlorine test or any type of contaminants test. The whole purpose of a water filter review is to let people know of it works or not!

    • @boswater6065
      @boswater6065  6 месяцев назад +3

      Chlorine is so easy to remove, there's no value in testing that. And we do think that the review is still useful even without contaminant testing. But I agree, contaminant testing is probably the most important part and we're planning on doing a second video on the Clearly Filtered Under Sink System that will include our own lab testing.

  • @rfink222
    @rfink222 Год назад +2

    Too expensive, who wants to pay $400 every year to replace the filters? Even Multipure is cheaper with replacement filters at $100 a year but you use a separate faucet. No need to filter all your cold water plus it lowers your water pressure a lot.

    • @boswater6065
      @boswater6065  Год назад

      We'd say $400 is worth it depending on your water quality. Personally, I don't know how the "Multipure" performs, but not all water filters are created equal.
