The little devilish smile he makes when he days “I may have come in a bad time” was such a treat🥰 Also, the kiss, the kiss, THE KISS. I’m rarely emotional during romance movies but this moment was superior. One of the most passionate kisses in romance movies ❤️🫣🔥
The original Jane Austen Elizabeth Bennett character (on which she is based) was supremely intelligent and confident (except when she visits Pemberly).
actually not just the darcy bit! the wickham/darcy love triangle between "elizabeth" and rivalry is displayed in both mark and daniel's storylines. although bridget jones isn't like elizabeth personality, she also recieves societal pressure to be married and has a supportive and crazy family just like mrs.bennett@@dianagonsalves
I loved the 1st Bridget Jones movie SO much- but that is where it ended for me. Something changed with the 2nd one and it felt way different. I just cringed when she did that "Will you marry me?" Scene. That was not the Bridget we knew from tbe 1st movie. Uggggh. Awful!
Right?! As far as I'm concerned Bridget Jones's Diary is the only Bridget Jones movie, and Bridget & Mark had their happily ever after when when they kissed in front of the stationery shop, wrapped up in Mark's coat as the snow fell around them. Bridget was so frumpy & ridiculous in the 2nd movie; nothing like the charming, beautiful, confident woman she was at the end of the 1st movie. I hated what they did to her!
@@katekenn156 Yes!! Exactly! I can only watch the first one. In the 1st one Bridget was insecure- but she was fiinding herself. She was vulnerable, but cute and funny- and learning by her mistakes. A lot of 30 somethings could relate to her character.
The scenes were great. But Colin Firth looked so stiff when he kissed throughout both movies, no passion, Renee was much better to watch kissing then him.
"I like you just as you are." Aww, this line gives me ALL the feels! 🥰♥️
Absolutely,I like you very much ,Just as you are ,The best a woman can hear

Ugh my favourite romcom and that scene is iconic 😩

Only the Darcy bit is taken from Pride and Prejudice. Colin Firth even played Darcy in the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice

Some similarities but Elizabeth Bennett and Bridget Jones are nothing alike 🤣
