    You're my favorite homeschool mama vlogger. You seem so down to earth and real. I appreciate that you don't make everything seem like it's pinterest perfect at your house bc let's be real, it's not like that at anyone's house ❤

    Fun to see this as your kids are similar in age to mine.

    Do you have a video on how you teach your toddler to have quiet time?

    • @ThisHomeschoolHouse

      I do. :) If you search my channel for "Independent playtime" it should come up. :)

    I have kids the same ages bit I struggle with the younger ones being loud and disrupting when I teach or read what do you do to keep order

    • @ThisHomeschoolHouse
      @ThisHomeschoolHouse  3 года назад

      I have my youngest do independent play when I really need quiet. Aside from that I allow her some screen time on the ipad and I also have activities like playdoh set aside for her to do.

      @@ThisHomeschoolHouse how old is your youngest? It's really amazing that she's fine being left alone to have independent play time! My 1.5 year old would never 😅

    Thanks so much for this glimpse into your day! I appreciate your authenticity.
    Unrelated question, how do you do room sharing? I have a 4 and 2 year old and expecting a baby in August. I’m wondering how you made room sharing work for your kids?

    • @ThisHomeschoolHouse
      @ThisHomeschoolHouse  3 года назад +2

      All of our kids have shared at one point or another. We started when the youngest of the room sharers was just over one. My girls are 4 and 2 and currently share. My advice is to not overthink it. The first couple of weeks things might be rocky as they get used to each other but they settle in no problem. :) Staggering bedtimes can help if one is keeping the other awake.

    How did you encourage your toddler into enjoying her independent quiet time? Is this something you did with Annie too? Would love to see a video on this.

    • @ThisHomeschoolHouse
      @ThisHomeschoolHouse  3 года назад

      I do have an old video about it on my channel which should come up with a search. :) It's something that I started with my son when he was a baby (around 9 months) and did it with both of my girls as well. :)

    What do you use for Bible? Also, my kids eat their breakfast in under 5 min and we never have time to read from more than one book at breakfast time! Any tips for getting them to sit still longer?

    • @ThisHomeschoolHouse
      @ThisHomeschoolHouse  3 года назад

      We do a short devotional from the Indescribable book and then our actual Bible curriculum is from Simply Charlotte Mason. As far as getting them to sit still...just lots of practice. I let them play quietly with toys if I'm still reading.
