I would love to see more of the Year of Tales and how you're incorporating it! We just started the Level K Math from The Good & The Beautiful and so far are loving it!
We’ve not used all about reading but I can see how it works wiv TGTB from wat I’ve heard. We’ve not used TGTB maths. We’ve mainly use math u see. We use our own hands on for maths as long wiv the math u see blocks.
Thanks for sharing, such great inspiring info! (And yes, it is pronounced"Gig-LEO" ). Would love to see how you go about laying out your curriculum planning for the year!
Been watching you for awhile now. Thanks for video! I am doing TGATB primer flr kindergarten amd also using hooked on phonix level K. It's amazing. He is already reading small readers! This time last year he didnt even know all of his ABCs now he is reading some!
I like to keep 1st grade super simple. For first we do phonics, handwriting, math and read TONS of books. I miss those years! I hope you have a fantastic year!
Kiddos often plateau on reading for a while, so don't feel that you must keep progressing through one curriculum or the other. Just keep up reading and re-reading the little stories and readers. My 6yo was on the 3-5 letter short-vowel words for most of this past year (about the first three stories in the Cobweb reader from AAR) and now he's suddenly shot through long vowels and vowel teams faster than I would like, ha. So I expect we will plateau for a time as he masters all those skills. I just share that so you don't get worried if you experience the same sort of thing :)
I definitely need to look into more of the simply charlotte mason curriculum. The julia rothman books have been on my wishlist for a while! I'm interested in knowing if you use games in you homeschool. My daughter is all about the games and we have been doing many lately.
I just ordered (with charter school funds) All About Reading Level 1 partially based on your review -- I'd love to know more about why you're pausing/stopping using it
We still LOVE it and I'll be using it next year with my daughter. We just paused with my son for now as it was getting a bit challenging for him. We may or may not go back to it, but I'll definitely still be using it for my other kids. :)
Hi, My daughter will be turning 6 in August so she will be a young 1st grader in the fall. She completed half of the reading lesson book in K and then it got very advanced so I paused it. Debating whether to do level K or 1 for tgatb. I have heard that it is a level above grade level. Thanks for your help!

I love TGTB Handwriting too !!! My son tried different ones and only this one really worked, his handwriting is sooo gorgeous now.
That is awesome!

You got it!
I love what they’re doing with their math curriculum.
Yes! I think many parents have voiced concerns so I'm glad they've listened.

Love that! We did that last year and it was wonderful. :)
I'd love to see a flip through or more info on the year of tales. I'm interested in it but can't seem to find much on it.
Noted!
Me too! I would love to know how you'll use it along with TGATB LA!
We just finished out TGTG Kindergarten with my first grader (we start in fall). It is definitely more advanced then K.

Thank you. :) I've definitely seen that with my son. It's crazy to see when they have big jumps forward as well.
We are in the middle of the same SCM Bible/History/Geography this year. SO good. =)
We're so eager to start!
Your hair looks so nice!!!...
Yeah it does
Thank you! :)

My son's math has lots of games included and he loves them! :)
Enjoyed your video. Would love to see links where you find certain resources. We use TGATB but I’ve never heard of some of the ones you mentioned.
If you go to my blog, www.thishomeschoolhouse.com you will find a lot of it there. ☺️

Thank you for this! I didn’t catch why you discontinued doing the Habit Training. Can you share?
I've only stopped it for this year because it's covered in the A Year of Tales curriculum. :)

What binding machine do you use? They look so much neater than the combs.
I use the Trubind S20A. :)
