I love masterbooks for bible and science!!! We love AAR!!! I bought it for struggling readers and it helped my older kids!!! I love math u see but it hasn’t worked well with my older kids!!! It’s a solid program!!! We did TGTB health and the physical body and we loved it!!! We love morning virtues!!! Growing up I would do picture study in a evening after a board game!!! I feel logic is a short but constant subject!!! I don’t do themed mornings basket but we do bible time, group subjects and read alouds!!!

The book buying struggle is real! 😁 Lots of curriculum here that I've never heard of. Can't wait to check them out! I've used Christian Light Education's Learning to Read, Math and Language Arts curriculum for years now, and still love it! But I'm always looking at different ideas, especially for the other subjects. Thanks for sharing! ❤

For our morning time I blended Morning Time from Brighter Day Press and Enrichment Studies from SCM. So a great read aloud, Bible, picture study, Shakespeare, poetry, hymn and composer study, Bible memorization, and Laying Down The Rails (which I am also super excited for), and some geography. My first grader is using Math With Confidence and Happy Cheetah for her reading/LA.
Ohhh I don’t think I’ve heard of brighter day press. It sounds fun!
❤ I have 2 boys in 1st this year also! We love All About Reading. For my neurodivergent son, everyone acted like it would be hard for him to read or impossible, but this has worked 🎉 It’s the cost of one week of tutoring sessions; so it’s a pocket book win also🎉

Oooh thanks!! I’m starting with my youngest this year who is in 1st but my daughters both have ADHD and both struggle with reading so I am trying to figure what will help.
We switched to AAR for my daughter this year and it’s been amazing.
My daughter has enjoyed the lessons a lot! So glad it’s working out for you all as well ❤️
We like First Start Reading because it includes handwriting etc!

A lot of this was going to be on a loop schedule for. Our morning basket time so it wasn’t being used every day. If it had been planned for everyday that would have 1000% been overwhelming 🤣

Another question- did you start with MUS primer or did you take placement test and it placed her with alpha? and how is it going if you started it already?
I didn’t do the primer. She placed into Alpha since she had already done TGTB math. Sadly, we didn’t like MUS for a few reasons, especially for her (my son used their Epsilon book). I discussed it in a recent video on all the reasons why. I’ll link it here incase you find it helpful to hear the good and bad. Just don’t hate me for my dislike 🤣
