This is should be taught in Catholic schools for kids to fully understand the concept of this sacrament. My teenage son will be listening to this...
You are right but this learning has not value at all if it is not practicing at home. Children do what they see. They uses to mirror what their parents are doing and the catechism we teach them became something they do to please family and as a way to get some gift.

However, as an educator in a Catholic school I still believe this is really important theological knowledge and underpinnings that students need to be equipped with that goes in hand with the ideas behind Theology of Body.
If parents aren't doing what they are suppose to then we need to be the vehicle of change they need to see.
As baptised Catholics, we are called to evangelize our faith with those around us. If we don't be examples of this with our young people, then who in the next generation will be called to the vocations of priesthood or Godly marriages.

There is nothing worse for a child (or adult) to see their parents divorce and hate each other. The child logically thinks therefore they are hated too, because the child knows it is half one parent, and half the other. It is a deep wound that cannot be healed, except only by the grace of God's love.

The Annulment scandal (where some diocese have a 100% granting of nullity) shows the church has abandoned the sacrament of matrimony. Annulment amounts to Catholic no fault divorce sadly.

This is KEY, and it's something the "free love" worshiping, individualistic, Nietzschean side of the Progressive spectrum always overlooks. Politics begin with the FAMILY. Even neurocognitive scientist Dr. George Lakoff (who is very Liberal) has argued this again and again. Broken families ultimately breed broken politics.
