Testing the Harbor Freight Light Until It Broke
REAL Torture Test of The New Harbor Freight Offroad Light - Roadshock Edge Series
In this video I tested the build quality, durability and ruggedness toughness of the new offroad light from Harbor Freight, their Roadshock Edge series.
I froze the light, then hammer and drop it to break the ice, then actually dropped the light from hood height of the toyota truck, last, I ran it over with my Tacoma. Will it survive? Enjoy the video!

Would you consider these lights at $300 a pair? let me know in the comment below 😀
Crazy. Keep running it on your truck for a long term test!
Great idea, I am going to do that for a year or two and report back.
I like the crescent wrench hammer
Thank you! I thought I knew where I left my hammer in my unorganized garage, but couldn't find it, so the crescent wrench would do , actually i think its even better at breaking the ice with a sharper edge.
One of the best off-road channels great work!
Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks for the test, once again you prove I made the right choice in buying these lights.
Thanks for the kind words! Enjoy your lights!
Love the reviews of the Harbor Freight Roadshock Edge, would you consider doing a review and test of the Roadshock Edge 4 led? I very interested on getting a pair for my hood lights.
Thanks for the kind words. as much as how good these lights are, especially the wide beam pattern, I actually would be hesitant recommending using them on the "ditch light" location. Major reason being the side shooter function is so wide that unless you stay right behind the light, it has a very high chance to cast light backward into the cabin so it maybe blinding the driver. but I know baja design's lp4 has some sort of side panel to be used on the mid-line facing side so it covers the side shooter and prevent it from blinding the driver. Cheers!
I have just published a comparison of the road shock edge 4 two weeks ago, hopefully you'd find it useful. Cheers.
I do a lot of night-wheeling in the desert and my BD's are on for hours at a time. The cooling fins do get hot, dissipating the LED's heat. I'm curious what the duty cycle of the HF lights are.
You should do a HF roadshock 4
I am glad you asked, I just purchased one spot and one combo patter of the roadschock4 to test them out in-terms of difference in light output, stay tuned!
Great news. Can’t wait

You should do a heat test
well I think we all know extreme heat is going to melt plastic and things
@@4WDisLife true I would be curios living in the southwest at what temps do seals start melting etc. Lol
@@semperfieverI’d suggest look up on the materials melting temperature plus maybe there’s operating temperature recommendation in the manual. 😅
But did you boil it?
Unfortunately no, didn’t see any real world benefit of doing that
Seriously, get rid of the KC stickers. It's dumb and only inviting thieves
I get it, but I just want that toyota truck with kc lights look so bad lol
