I remember my college papers being graded on their technical prowess, logic, and effectiveness at communicating my point. I was graded on my writing ability nor the merits of my subject. Just did I make a compelling case or fully flesh out my ideas.
I think these modern universities are stuffed with too many courses where they grade the ideas presented more than the competence of presenting them.
It’s the only exploitation of why Leslie Hedland thinks she has told a great story. That it is her greatest artistic achievement.
