Every time I use my watercolour pencils I wonder if textures and this not-super-smooth effect is the fault of this specific brand or just this medium thing in general and now I know so thanks :D

Great tips and a nice example! I also wanted to emphasize the Paper used makes and enormous difference. Each paper reacts so differently. Sometimes the same supply looks and works differently on different papers so sometimes try a different paper rather than changing the main supply! I feel like I was stubborn in admitting the papers importance so now I extra remind everyone. Keep up the fantastic work!
I'm a drawer since I have memories, but I never tried colors, it kinda scare me. I don't know how to use them, but.. Since last year, I satarted to know someone, and literally brings some many things to my life that metaphorically you could say, that she brings colors in my life. So, to make it shorter, I want to give her some draw, but with color. I'm goig to give it a try by using this tuto as a guide. Thankiu

I'm sorry you feel that way! As creators, it's nice for us to be able to speak about a platform that I know we all really like and use, and then still create our videos as normal. There are simply not a lot of sponsors out there for art channels, and SkillShare has the reputation of being a good company to work with, as well as something that I know I personally use, along with most of the other art channels out there. I understand if it's not for you, but please just keep in mind that there just aren't that many different companies willing to work with art-tubers! If you want to support us, then supporting those companies is really helpful. Think of it like a podcast - they all essentially have the same commercials, for things like Quip, MeUndies, Madison Reed, etc. But those sponsors help pay for the podcast to exist, and supporting them helps the podcast. Same as commercials on TV! I see the same hulu ad like a million times! I hope this helps shed some different light on SkillShare advertisements. I personally have never advertised or partnered with a sponsor that I don't believe in - I wouldn't promote SkillShare if i hadn't found it genuinely useful in the past. (It's literally how I started teaching myself to animate!) But there are also lots of other ways to support creators if you don't feel comfortable, or don't have the finances or interest, to support our sponsors! Affiliate links in our descriptions, watching our ads, or even just sharing our posts on social media are all super helpful! And I'm really glad you liked the video!!

SO true! The first paper I was working on with this did not work well with watercolor pencil even tho I liked it for watercolor, so I had to switch!
