I felt like I was curled up on the couch with a good book! We all should be (I know I am) thankful for all our blessings. As I enjoy paying tribute to those who lived in the centuries before me, I am indeed thankful God put me in this century ....He knows best.
Oh yes! I thought of it last Sunday when I was watching The Way Home and the one woman wanted to jump into the 21st century from 1814 and even though we glorify the old ways… I’m happy to be in modern times! My husband does most of the cooking and I like that arrangement.:)

I think of you often Anne…..especially yesterday when my husband tried to update my computer and couldn’t because I have saved so many of your videos! You taught me how to decorate Easter eggs, make portraits look old, decorate, make little tulip pots. You are all around us at Easter., although getting in the mood is tough being surrounded by my daughter’s mid- century modern! Hope you and Tom have a blessed Easter.

Good morning, Anne. I actually just viewed this spring video as I was in France over Easter.
I sat in my living room as the day is still not awake, delighting in my cup of tea watching.
I felt your gratefulness and warmth appreciating your redware. Yes, my redware does comfort me as I have collected pieces over the years.
I am appreciative of your videos, friends and simple conversations. It's nice to know you are out there.
As I, too, reflect on the past few years.. people that are gone and all that still remains, I find strength in what remains behind.
I hope your Easter was memorable.
I was actually on Omaha Beach in Normany paying my respects to the Americans and all who sacrificed on that day.
God bless our past and our country now.
Hi Gail, what a beautiful Easter you must have had in France! We just watched a movie about the men who gave their lives in the airborne units during WWII. Pretty frightening. We saw Normandy in the show. I’ve never been there.
I was in the Netherlands on Easter 8 years ago and we went to Westerbork where all the Jews were held and shipped away to the concentration camps. It was a very memorable Easter as well. We also went to a town around there with a memorial to the Jews taken away and it was full of my family name. So sobering.
I put another log in my wood stove it has glass in the doors so almost a fireplace. Nice video

I'm so happy I'm part of your tribe! I so love the olden days! My family is pa Dutch and were milk farmers. With a water pump in the kitchen a heated there home with the wood stove and a pot belly stove in the sitting room. Very little electric. My grandma's sitting room was lit with kerosene lamps. I loved it so much. Listening to you takes me back. Thanks so much!
Oh that’s so cool!! I knew lots of dairy farmers! My great grandpa came over from Holland with the cows:)
@@AnneClay wow! I love going to see the cows! They were so sweet! I'm 68 years old so it was in the late 50s they were not modern by any means. They did have a car with no chrome on it. Im so greatful I lived to see and experience the simpler lifestyle.
