Easy Peasy Cottage Pie. Resepi Orang Bujang.

For the filling:
oil
1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
cloves of garlic
1 carrots, peeled and diced
4-5 button mushrooms, diced (I don't include this is the video)
300-450g minced beef
1/2 cup of peas
Salt, rosemary, sugar and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (I don't include this in the video)
1 tablespoon of tomato sauce (I don't include this in the video)
How to:
Saute all the ingredients above. Set aside to cool.
For mashed potato:
2 or 3 medium potato
1/2 cup of mozzarella or Parmesan cheese
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoon of butter, if you want.
salt to taste
mozzarella for garnishing
How to:
Boil the potato until soft. Mash the potato together with cheese, egg yolk, butter and salt.
To assemble:
In a ramekin, put the filling halfway and top with mashed potato. Top with mozzarella as garnishing. Bake at 150 degrees Celsius until mashed potato is a bit golden or brown.
