Ugh! The number of times my big ass Suzuki power cruiser didn’t have enough steel to trigger those dumbass magnets in the road that tell the traffic light SOMEONE IS THERE! I feel this pain 💜
Lol...stick a couple of neodinium magnets underneath your bike
Our laws allow for rider to go after 45 seconds of waiting if you can't trigger the light. I really enjoy your movies as I also enjoy bikes and cameras - keep it up!! New sub here
Actually, motorcyclists are allowed to treat the junction like a give way when that happens coz it's safer than them sitting stationary in the dark.
@@davidboydarnott417 in your country. Sadly not in mine.
I was today years old when I learnt that they were magnets!!
The never ending struggle...to wait for the light to turn green. We have even got off our bikes in the past to hit the pedestrian crossing button in order to force the light to turn. Safe riding out there! Cheers!
Definitely been there several times!!
I love it! It's the average experience at a traffic light, except for the part where I spend 20 seconds trying to find neutral
As an European who live now in Australia. I can confirm, that red light is just a normal one... Amazing work man
The amount of work that has gone into this video is amazing. No face no voice BUT! AMAZING! THANKS!❤❤❤❤
Love it! Perfect lighting, use of reflection, music score, just spot on.😮🎬💪🤙
Wow in the state of Utah motorcycles can proceed through the red light after a 90 second stop.
North Carolina is three minutes, maybe two, I think and then a motorcycle can proceed. I don't even wait that long.
@@ncognito2388or one skip of rotation per NC Law. And I think it’s 3 minutes if I remember correctly.
Beautiful short film. I thought of the movie was an analogy to how life is. A similar looking and feeling situation may present itself very differently to two people. And we react to it in our own unique way. Brilliantly executed my friend 🙌
Excellent work capturing that feeling perfectly. If you hadn't had your cameras pointed at you, you could have just gone. 😉
Also, those untucked boot laces gave me anxiety. 😟
You’ve reminded me of two incidents I’ve had at lights (the only one’s in town). The laces could be another adventure like this one. Getting caught on the foot peg as he’s about to put his foot down. As soon as I felt it, I just violently kicked and snapped the lace and got my foot down just in time to prevent falling 🥵.
Another time, my clutch cable snapped. So when I stopped at the lights, I had to put it in neutral and paddle my legs halfway across the street before clicking first! 😬🤣
Re untucked in bunny ears laces. I had 2 brothers/learners stop alongside each other on 2 of my bikes during a lesson when one of their laces caught the brake lever causing that bike to go down against my other bike, causing damage to both, while Mr long shoelaces injured his hand in the process!
With floorboards no problem at all
@@FrensTimmerpensYou have no shift lever or brake pedal?
this is amazing. love the concept of the cinematic experience. I relate to this so much haha
Tuck those shoelaces into your boot. It’s interesting when they get hooked around your gear shifter.
Only when pulling up to a light and there are other cars around to see you fall.... 🤣
No longer have to wait like this in Texas. Safe to proceed, make the turn.
Love the reflection in the visor shots, excellent work, Subscribed! (SOOO TRUE too)
We've ALL been here. Brilliant.
Drive on the groove in the pavement, usually on each side of the lane. It is your best chance of triggering the light. The sensors are upside down metal detectors. The sensor wires are buried in the grooves.
Great video man! never thought I'd find a red light so interesting. I kinda expected an anticlimax of you stalling or something 😂
Next time!
Wow, loved this brother. The amount of work that has gone into this video. Just awesome ❤❤
Thanks bro, I appreciate the kind words
Amazing! Loved everything about it❤ the bike, your attitude, the color grading, the tension building as the music intensified and then the relief!!
In the late 80’s. When I first got my licence, I had a Suzuki RG250, that wouldn’t trigger the only lights in my country town. I learned to swerve across the confines of my lane as I came to a stop. Never had to wait for a car again!
Gripping. Got me worried as to what was going to happen. Each moment getting more and more red. Nice one.
This film is based on factual events and some viewers may find it distressing.
Great video! Here where I am in the States, you can proceed through the red when safe if the light doesn't cycle through to you.
Great short video!!!!
I really like your helmet, what brand and model is it?
Great tension! Nothin' happend, but everything happend (in mind & imagination - like in old Kurosawa's movies). Big up!
I’ve had this problem on many bikes, including my BMW and my Harley - no longer an issue though as I bought a Vespa (full steel body). 😀👍🏼
Loved the clip but I did feel he let the biker world down by not running that red light.
I know, me too. I’ve been in that situation a lot in the past 50 years. I just wait till it’s safe and go on my way 😂
WOW!!!!! a great one
WA State says you can go if the light go through one full cycle. Useful for left turns. I keep a copy of the law in my saddlebag just in case.
Sometimes i will signal the driver behind me to pull up closer.
A couple years ago I'm sitting at a light for 4 minutes. No traffic anywhere so I decide to go. As soon as I am 1/3 of the way into the intersection, a cop appears from another side street. He pulls me over. I explained that I sat there for 4 minutes and the light did not change. As soon as the words came out of my mouth, the light changed with no car where I had sat! The cop said "that kinda blows your story doesn't it?" He gave me a verbal warning and let me go.
Looks great man! Dont give up on youtube im excited to see what the future holds
Thank you! I won't give up that easily. There's more storylines brewing!
great message
Haha a lot of bikers can sympathise with this! But if you ever find yourself stranded, turn the bike off and start it again, sometimes the magnetic pulse from the starter motor are picked up by the in road sensor. But then it wouldn't be a very long film 👍🇦🇺
This happens every time man 😅 by the way, cool cinematography ❤
This is so relatable, you filmed it so nicely
Idea for Part 2 - how many motorbikes would it take to trigger the sensors?
😂 I'll keep that in mind!
A number of years ago, TfNSW admitted that something like 1/3rd of traffic light sensors in NSW simply did not work. In that case, the lights used a timer sequence to ensure that all approaches get a turn ... eventually.
So for us, we sit there wondering if it is just another dud sensor, or if the world really doesn't like us.
The anticipation is so loud it’s deafening!
Time - Longest red light and shortest green light I've seen in ages! 😅
I've noticed that if I am at a red light solo like you were for a moment, the sensors for the light don't pick up the weight of the motorcycle and as a result you end up waiting forever, or it feels like forever. You're not alone. Aloha from Maui 🤙
Yup. Though I would’ve been a mile down the road already.
Truth!
great!
Your videos are so cool and your bike too😊
From were is the music you are using?
That's one of the longest red light and the fastest green light I see 😂 love the content mate 🔥
This happens a lot where I live too
Same here. I just wait till it’s safe and go on my way!
Every. Single. Time.
Great fil been there soooo many times thanks for this😂
Facts..
good job brother ✌
Joke's on the cager, last time I got stuck at one of these. It was a single lane side road. 10 minutes later, as soon as I ran the red and the car moved forward, it changed.
gread of the cinematic vidio
💪💪👏👏👏👏👏
I can relate
That triggered some painful memories.
Yes, I know the problem. I normally use the red phase, whether as a pedestrian or motorcyclist, as a short break in the hectic pace of everyday life.
But in my home town, many traffic lights don't react to motorcycles. It's actually the case that I can't always take the direct route home from all directions. . .
Traffic light documentary series ahead!? Nice work. 👍
Thanks for sharing. The suspense!
lovely
Amazing video !!!… unfortunately We have come so far that even 2mins of patience , 2 mins of responsibility not to jump red light , 2 mins of urge is difficult for us to maintain.
You either relate...................or you dont :)
love it! so true!
Now imagine a scorching summer DAY in full gear. Hate city riding from the bottom of my heart..reason my rides are 99% open roads.
Ha! Well done …
Wow! Love it! it really shows the temptation to pump that throttle 🤣😂.
There's inductive loop sensors at some red-lights. You need to roll your bike's front tire about a foot away from the big white stop line. And for the best sensitivity you should be in either 1st or 3rd position of the lane. Also the more carbon steel you have on your bike, the better it will detect it. Most of the time the exhaust pipe is enough. Good luck if your bike is all aluminum like most sport bikes and sporting a ti exhaust system. Hope this helps.
Late last year I bought a motorcycle that didn't have a frame - it uses the engine as a frame. And that thing will not trigger any of the stoplights in the area.
Lovely work! I love the style of your reels on Instagram too!
Thank you 🙏
In Deutschland gibt es Ampel-Sensoren die aufgrund des geringen Gewichts ein Motorrad nicht erkennen. Da kann es passieren, dass wenn kein Auto sich hinter einen stellt, dass die Ampel nie grün wird.
I once waved a car up beside me, so he could trip light.
This problem is such a safety issue. There’s some intersections I have to avoid because of it.
This was so awesome, I loved this so much 🤣
Lovely filming and editing Mojo
Thanks mate 😉
weird what all goes through your mind at a stop light and figity one gets....
I don't know what this means. In the city where I live (Rio de Janeiro-Brazil), you don't stop at a red light. If you do, you'll have your motorbike stolen at gunpoint.
Nice !! Yrr
Same here. Ride safe. ❤
Knowing how vulnerable you are sitting at a red light that just won’t turn b/c your engine doesn’t have enough iron.
Cracked pot
Fantastic 👏👏👏
Green light those not mean Reds not getting run.
With all our tech why can’t we have smart traffic lights?
Every rider knows this feeling, you gotta wait for a freaking cage to come before you can go.. . . .
I hate when this happens. 😆
Does that bike with the side stand extended? Check 1:26.
No, its not extended, its stock. It was just the camera angle and cuts that made it look long
What I should have said was "in the down position", meaning why is the kickstand down? Still Cool vid!
@@mojobike
Have go off bike and pressed pedestrian button more than once
Since I added magnets to the bottom of my frame, this stopped happening to me.
Great mini-movie, but a motorbike that size should trigger the traffic-light sensor, though it's not the weight of the bike that matters, but the amount of metal in it. My little Yamaha XT250 won't do it at one particular set of lights, which is so frustrating!
Depends on the type of sensors, how/where they're installed and their sensitivity settings.
What a cinematic masterpiece! This has happened to me many times. Now I just look for cops and go. I also love that as soon as you turn you leave the long shot of it going back to red!!!! XD
I complained about a signal in my town not seeing a motorcycle. The town engineer said "we are not going to fix that." If you drive trough it, it is a $400 fine here.
i like it 👌
Damn weight sensitive sensors....
ya that happens to me too the wight of the motorcycle is not grate enough for the senor
Anyone who has ridden knows this scenario!!! 😢
In which movie theatre can we watch this? Stunning short movie❤❤❤
In your home theatre 🤣
😂❤
for half of the film you should be looking for a neutral :P
Haha! Maybe in season 2 🤣
LOL! With my little Harley-Davidson Street 500, I could NEVER find neutral, so just held the clutch in all the time!
I hate sensor lights!
Hii buddy
I give it about 2 mississippis then it's fair game.
Can anyone help.... what style of bike is that?
It's a café racer x scrambler based on a modern classic bike
Not the first red light I’ve run.🙄
