9 nine years ago, as I was coming out of an abusive relationship, many friends and a few coworkers encouraged me to take up riding. Finally took a new riders' course and got my endorsement this past month...and regret that I took so long to take the plunge. To anyone who's been through similar, you are worthy of love because there is one who loved you long ago. God bless, and keep the shiny side up.

This, this is why I tell anyone that asks about bikes. Just like I love sharing the love Christ, riding, riding is on a whole different level. I grew up riding since I was 4, it was and still is my therapy. I have lost over the years two Fiances and boy and girl. When I started riding on the street at 17 we didn't have all these fancy coms like you kids have now. If you wanted to listen to music you modified your walkman etc. Anyways when its just you and your bike alone cruising the back roads I can promise you it takes all the weight off your shoulders, your able to processes grief, morning, problems at work or the girl friend/wife. It frees you to safely pull out the plug you have stuck in so deep you can't see anyway out. When riding for reasons I fail to understand it allows you to pull that plug out and begin the healing process. Sure talking to a head doc works for women but for us guys, we just don't process emotions like women do. More to the point the entire phyic industry knows this yet they are still happy to take your money. I personally can say riding healed my soul as did my faith. The smells of the back roads rush old memories back in like the honeysuckle they plant just before you get to "TWO , Two Wheels Only" off of hwy 60 far from Atlanta. Cross over to 180 to 129 and you will get hit with lavender. You just don't get that in a car like you do on a bike. Maybe riding is Gods gift to us so instead of being Surrounded by a metal cage the world Surrounds us on a bike. If your a guy at the end and cant see a way out staring down you know what, I promise you, I beg of you to get a bike and learn to ride. I can not tell you how much riding has done with my metal health and my friends. The other cool thing about riding, you will make new friends, these friends become bonds with each other because you have to trust who your riding with. Forget about what you see here on YT with craziness and coms ,music etc. When you get your first bike let it just be you and the bike, no music or phone calls. When your riding the only music you should be listening to is your motor, relax and let her sing. So before you exit left 👈 give yourself one last chance, get a bike ,take the safety course and then go ride my friend. I can Guarantee you if nothing else your heart and soul will start to heal and that plugged up emotions you have will come crashing out freeing you to start a new life. What you do after that is up to you. One last thing, riding is a judgemental free zone. Doesn't matter if you're all tattooed up or just you, no one is going to make fun of you. Theres a universal bond that if your on two wheels your part of a larger pack, the pack that rides and loves their souls free.!! Peace .

My mother hates the idea of me riding, especially after seeing a guy who got killed on his bike. However I have no intention of stopping. I am a 30 year old man and I accept the dangers that come with riding as it's the one thing that brings me peace. Between bad memories from military service and the current mental strain of watching the world I fought for falling apart, my mind never shuts down. Once I get on that bike it all goes away. My mind focuses on the wind in my face, the beauty of the land around me, the sense of wonder an unfamiliar road brings me, and the excitement of where it may lead. On that bike I become whole. I become free.

Through loss & triumph...pains & smiles...joys and tears with children and grandchildren.. joyful maternity wards and thoughtful funerals... I can look at it all in awe and wonder..still riding a bike in my 70's. It seems ageless...a moment seems like an eternity...and a lifetime passes in the blink of an eye. Enjoy life as a blessing from God. Pray for those you've lost...and be thankful for the people you have.
