Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a 2009 American science fiction action film based on Hasbro's Transformers toy line. The film is the second installment in the Transformers film series and the sequel to Transformers (2007). The film is directed by Michael Bay and written by Ehren Kruger, Roberto Orci, and Alex Kurtzman. Taking place two years after the previous film, the story revolves around Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen), leader of the Autobots, and Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf), who is caught once again in the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons, led by Megatron (voiced by Hugo Weaving). Sam begins having strange visions of Cybertronian symbols, and is being hunted by the Decepticons under the orders of an ancient Decepticon named the Fallen (voiced by Tony Todd), who seeks to get revenge on Earth by finding and activating a machine that would provide the Decepticons with an energon source, destroying the Sun and all life on Earth in the process.
The film was followed by four sequels: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Dark of the Moon (2011), Age of Extinction (2014), and The Last Knight (2017), as well as a spin-off titled Bumblebee (2018). A seventh installment, Rise of the Beasts, is scheduled to be released in 2023.

What I like about this scene is that Optimus shoots Starscream 4 times and he is relatively okay, and then Megatron just jumps into the bullet and gets fucking blown away
I think Optimus changed the mode of the gun or turned it into a grenade launcher. A part of the gun turned.
He did use his other arm cannon, it must've been more explosive
From my understanding, the gun in his right is the regular Ion Blaster, but in his left hand is the "Buster Cannon", which features more powerful rounds. Why he doesn't use it after this scene is beyond me.
