25:01 "Is it really that terrible compared to Trudeau?" I think that's one of the biggest problems with Persona 5. Trudeau is like, a huge monster, and also a really realistic problem- he sets such a high standard for all the other Palace Bosses to meet that almost none of them do. Everyone else after him is a less-bad cartoon character. I'm not really sure what they could've done to make it better; the Trudeau arc is perfect so you don't really want to change it, and you can't realistically keep up that level of pressure six times in a row.
Another problem is that the next three palaces don't really continue Persona 5's themes that were set up in the Trudeau arc. P5 obviously wants to comment on the failings of society, so starting off with Trudeau makes a lot of sense. He shows how much harm an individual can do to the people around them, along with the reasons why people wouldn't try to stop this. It's still somewhat small scale but effectivity shows a serious problem that people can and do face in real life. Madarame, Kaneshiro and Futaba don't really continue this in any meaningful way. Futaba I get considering her palace is meant to build mystery and set up her character, but the other two don't serve to add new commentary. Madarame feels like a weaker version of Trudeau in terms of his abuse, and the main message of the Kaneshiro arc is that gangs are bad, like, no shit. I have multiple obligations outside of this channel as well as wanting to complete other videos besides Abridge. As well Part 3 will be the longest video I have done so far and it is likely that future videos are going to be even longer. I’m also trying to increase the quality of my editing and presentation as I go along and be more experimental with the kinds of edits I do.- -On top of this-please remember that I consider this as a hobby. As long as my computer doesn’t explode Persona 5 Abridged will be completed eventually. This is its own thing. 3) Where is Sae on the waifu meter? IMHO I think in retrospect I should’ve placed Sae on the list at the beginning but I was apprehensive because this story is told in-media res. Waffles as we are shown the story hadn’t really interacted with Sae. They don’t really have substantive interactions until the fourth-ish palace. However in retrospect- I think I should’ve placed Sae in the first part, especially considering I put ‘Becky’ and 'Makoto' despite them both not having a significant presence until later portions of the stream. Honestly it's a shame they establish Yusuke as so unlikeable, it makes it feel worse when he's forced into the group, up until then he's nothing but condescending and unreasonable, he only really salvages himself and becomes a great character later on
Great character
1:39:41, great reference
