I've been on both of these exact same hikes back in the day with school one summer and man can I say this brings me back 😅, I swam under the falls on the waterfall hike and was pretty much leading the group in the slot canyons cause I wasn't scared of much, along with a few others ofc. But I love to see it man. Great video! I'm glad to see other people enjoying it, I stumbled upon this just watching random vids and I was like no freakin way. Thank you man! Keep exploring!
Thanks so much for watching! So glad you’ve gotten to explore these too! Next time we will try to visit the falls on a warmer day so we can go for a swim!
Just got back from Utah on Saturday next time we go we’re spending two weeks because all we got to see with Zoin and Bryce need at least two weeks Was beautiful and wonderful can’t wait to go back
Definitely recommend 2 weeks to explore! In our 2 months here, we spent about 15 full days actually exploring (and not working) and we were able to see a lot!
Peekaboo & spooky 👻was my bucketlist w my 12&9 yo kids this summer !! But after watching those very narrow drops....I crossed it out. Thank you!! Too claustrophobic for me!! Definitely not spooky. I can hear us crying stuck not able to move. Enjoyed your video and now I know we are not doing this😍 THANK you!!🥰
You are so lucky the Kiva Koffeehouse was open when you got there. When we did they were closed, it happened to be a Tuesday if I am not mistaking. We were so looking forward to have a great coffee with a view. But no, only the view, which was, as you also pointed out, amazing.
What an awesome place!!! The Lower Calf Creek Falls was breathtaking. You would never expect a waterfalls in a desert. It reminds me of Havasaupi Falls in Arizona.I was like !!Wow!! I am happy to see that you guys didnt get too stuck in those slot canyons lol Take care guys. God bless
@@AdventuresofAplusK I totally agree with you about Havasupai Falls. My wife and I are going to visit Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons for her birthday. She changed her mind about Zion, Bryce, and the Arches. She really wants to see Old Faithful, the geysers, and Grand Prismatic lol Do you recommend any places to buy the bear spray? My wife and I really enjoy your travel vlogs and we can't wait for the next ones. Oh before I sign off, when you and Adam visit PA, here are some places you guys might consider: Grand Canyon of PA( Pine Creek Gorge), some waterfalls ( Dingman Falls & Bushkill Falls), Long Wood Gardens, Hershey Park, Lancaster (Amish country), Philadelphia( Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the Art Musuem-- run the stairs like Rocky Balboa lol, try a cheesesteak from PAT'S or Gino's,Potter-Tioga, Delaware Water Gap, Ricketts Glen State Park, the Poconos, Gettysburg. I hope this helps you guys when you visit PA. Take care and God bless you both
Utah is just beyond amazing! Lucky my sister lives there near Zion National Park. I've been to almost all the National Parks in Utah except Capitol Reef and have been wanting to go to the Escalante National Monument. Great video and thank you for sharing your adventure with us, especially the food locations !
Capitol reef and the grand staircase Escalante are some of our favorite spots in southern Utah! We hope you can check them out next time you visit your sister!
I love a hike with stories along the way. The leaflet you showed reminds me of one I collected in Capitol Reef when doing the Hickman Bridge trail. The slot canyon hikes were all kinds of awesome. I know you' weren't able to do the fiery furnace in Arches but I think this may have been better. Watching you guys get lost at the beginning had Fiery Furnace vibes for sure! I'd LOVE to get back to Utah and do this hike! ❤️ Can't wait for Capitol Reef, I loved it there.
I had a feeling you'd love this hike! It totally seems up your alley after watching you do the Fiery Furnace! And we didn't even know there was a leaflet for Hickman Bridge...oops!
That place looks beautiful and I’ve never heard of it! I feel the same way about crowds when hiking. It just doesn’t give you the same feeling when there’s a lot of people! When we went to Yosemite there were some mornings we were heading to trailheads at 5:00 am 😊
Nice vlog! Hell’s backbone grill in Boulder is also a great place to eat. That rope on the down climb in Spooky must have been left by another person. It’s often not there. For others who may attempt this it’s a good idea to be prepared for the assistance of a rope to not be there. Stemming or chimneying can be effective without a rope.
The colors of the rocks behind the waterfall are amazing! Such a beautiful scene. Very nice camerawork and editing. The different angles, some slow motion, etc really did a nice job presenting the scene. Adam's breakfast burrito looked fantastic... I too consider myself a breakfast burrito connoisseur so we'll have to compare notes, lol. The Burr trail looked awesome! The drone footage is so helpful for telling the story! There;s no way I could have stopped... we'll have to drive the whole thing! Hole in the Rock overnight camp looked cool! And the slot canyon hike was killer, despite a couple wong turns. Thats what makes it an adventure! And Peek a boo was really neat as well! The arches in the slot were amazing! Katy would NOT like that hike.... gonna have to go solo I'm afraid! But it looks awesome to me!
Hey guys love your video on San Luis Obispo I live near by and ESCALANTE means to climb in Spanish so yes 👍 you guys pronounced it right keep the great adventures coming 🤯🤯🤯
Alright! 👍 We’re glad we got it right! I (Adam) know a small amount of Spanish and wish I had more time to practice and learn. I’d love to be fluent one day. Thanks for watching!
It's great to see that you made it to those Dry Fork canyons. If you plan to do more of those type of canyoneering style canyons, here are a couple tips. Wear old clothes, do not wear a down jacket, and pick up some rubberized garden gloves at a dollar store. We also always make sure that we wear long sleeves and pants when in the canyons, and pack shorts and a cooler top for the hike out on warm days. Keep exploring.
My brothers and I did the whole entire Hole in the Rock road to the Hole in the Rock by Lake Powell in his Jeep about 12 years ago. It was fun, the road gets a little tougher the closer you get to the Hole in the Rock so better you only went to there in the van. I didn’t do the slot canyons but wish I had, I will have to try that if I go there again.
We hear 4x4 is highly recommended for the last part! Would’ve been super cool to see the actual hole in the rock though! I cannot imagine 35ish more miles on that road 😳😳
Wow oh wow, that was tight! Sorry it’s so late…I’m guessing you’re asleep and Kona is snoring by now…anyhow what an awesome adventure this was! You did look like you were having the time of your lives though! Hope you have an amazing weekend!

Looks so fun! Man that's awesome. And that coffee shop spot is incredible...and I don't like coffee. Haha...great vid.
It was a blast! And thankfully they have more than coffee so you can enjoy it too!
Omg looks awesome. Our next family adventure
You’re going to love it!
Wow, you are very brave! I think I would start screaming for rescue as soon as I felt claustrophobic. Beautiful area and video, thank you!!!
Hahahaha 😂😂
Enjoyed your video and now I know we are not doing this😍 THANK you!!🥰
The climbing parts would be tough for kids without the help of an adult! Although the narrow spots are perfect for kids!
Wow what an adventure ! Those narrows a little to scary for me though 🙈 👏👏👏👏
Definitely pushed us a bit out of our comfort zone!
Utah is awesome, I went to moab arches national park in September. Loved it. 😍
It’s otherworldly there!
You are so lucky the Kiva Koffeehouse was open when you got there. When we did they were closed, it happened to be a Tuesday if I am not mistaking. We were so looking forward to have a great coffee with a view. But no, only the view, which was, as you also pointed out, amazing.
Oh no! So sorry y’all!
God bless
We reallyyyy want to go to Havasupai Falls some day! It looks magical with that bright blue water!
Should we buy two or one is sufficient?
That’s going to be an epic trip! 😍 We have bought ours on Amazon before (of driving somewhere) and you can also rent them in Jackson at Teton Backcountry Rentals too!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Thanks again Kate. You and Adam really inspire us to travel even with this pandemic. A lot of people do not realize how beautiful the United States really is. Take care and God bless you both
Thank you SO much for all of the tips!!
That canyon looked super tight! I'd be afraid that I would get stuck. That area looks amazing and so much fun.
We LOVED the area! 😍😍
Love Love Love your videos!
We are so glad! Thank you so much for watching!
Really great episode.
Thank you so much Robert!
Wow, Beautiful place
😍😍
I love your editing. Great interspersed drone shots.
Thanks a bunch!
I'm still amazed at how you go from mountains to flat plains in one state!
The scenery here is pretty crazy! 😱
@@AdventuresofAplusK Ah, they may not have had leaflets due to Covid, I was a little surprised to see the one in this video ;)
We were honestly in quite a hurry when we did Hickman Bridge because of a big hike we were doing right after, so we could've easily missed it!
@Adventures of A plus K Ooooh the big hike makes me very curious as we only did lots of little ones. 🤔
We were a bit ambitious with it lol!
That place looks beautiful and I’ve never heard of it! I feel the same way about crowds when hiking. It just doesn’t give you the same feeling when there’s a lot of people! When we went to Yosemite there were some mornings we were heading to trailheads at 5:00 am 😊
That’s the way to do it! 👏🏼
That looked like a really fun hike.
Such a blast! Definitely got us out of our comfort zone a bit 🙌🏼
I'm so glad you guys went there. We are heading down in a weak. Trying to visit as much as we can before the Army moves us out to NJ.
Have a great time! And thank you for your service!
Thank you so much for sharing that! We hope it can help others!
Thank you so much Jamie! Utah was a ton of fun to film! And we’re glad to hear you’d go into the slot canyons! It was a BLAST!
Great video, love your channel. Capitol Reef is Amazing, make sure you see Hickman Bridge!!!!
That’ll be the first spot in the video! Excited to share what we did!
Yeah the jacket was a bad choice, especially since it's brand new. I was a bit scared to rip it 😬 But thankfully it survived!
One day I’ll visit Utah because of y’all.
Woo! That's what we love to hear!
Just loving all your videos
We are so glad!
Those were some really tight spaces, I'm glad you guys didn't freak out.
We thankfully enjoy slot canyons! But it's not for those who hate tiny spaces!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Yes, it would be rough without 4x4. I would definitely say that 4x4 is best as it gets pretty interesting.
I’m so claustrophobic 😱 I’d never be able to do that! You guys are awesome! And you are pronouncing “ESCALANTE” correctly 👌
We definitely lean towards Spanish pronunciations being from Texas!
Gorgeous canyon, but nope! Thanks for doing it for us!
We did Spooky a few years back and hit Magnolias 2 weeks ago! I remembered this video and Magnolias. The food was amazing!!
That's a great spot!
Looks like such an awesome hike! I bet you guys were so sore afterwards!
We were mentally exhausted from the climbing and that killer road 😂
Wow oh wow, that was tight! Sorry it’s so late…I’m guessing you’re asleep and Kona is snoring by now…anyhow what an awesome adventure this was! You did look like you were having the time of your lives though! Hope you have an amazing weekend!
Hahaha surprisingly we are awake! Have an awesome weekend Brad!
Adam is cool as a cucumber. We hope we can do one of these with you one day. That place was stunning!
YES! Come explore a slot canyon with us sometime! It's funny how calm he was because he hates tight spaces, like caves!
Love your content! My wife and I were there last year and it’s such a beautiful area :)
Thank you so much for watching! ❤️
@@AdventuresofAplusK I don’t know if you’ve been but you guys would LOVE Marble Canyon right on the Utah AZ border. We just put out a video about it and it seems right up your alley :)
This put a huge smile on my face and reminded me of how much I miss being outside 😪 glad you guys are having awesome adventures. Pretty sure the way you're pronouncing Escalante is correct 😂
Being from Texas, we are used to pronouncing things the Spanish way, so that's how we will keep doing it haha! Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@AdventuresofAplusK As you note in the video, many locals pronounce it as though the final "e" wasn't there. Just discovered your channel and am really enjoying it! Keep making the great vids!
We asked the ranger and she definitely said Esca-lant but she also acknowledged it’s confusing 😅😅
Great videos. I am new to the channel and have been checking the Utah series. I follow RVertv who has a van like yours. Soon as I retire I am doing the van thing.
Thanks for watching Thomas! And we love our van and highly recommend it!
