@@mtn.lion_bait hit the trail early, like sunrise early. Beat the heat and the crowds! And don’t forget tunnel slot. Be prepared to get wet on that one too 🤠

This area is incredible. Nearby are peekaboo and spooky slot canyons and so I highly recommend camping around here for an outstanding weekend filled with bucketlist level adventure.

The vibrum 5 finger shoes have some amazing applications. Not great for long hikes ,but I just love them for some specific purposes.

Nice video!! Great info! From parking lot out and back to parking lot.. what’s the mileage and time it took you?

@@karlabishop-lopez5192 Thanks! ha! I actually don’t know the exact mileage but it’s 3-ish each way. And it took me a few hours (4-5) because I stopped a lot to film and I hiked down to see tunnel slot after doing Zebra. Tunnel is pretty neat to, at least the entrance is.

4 L of water? Would that be heavy to carry 3miles? I completely agree with being prepped for the hike.

That is a lot. I only brought 2 but this was in late october, so not as hot as summer. However I've learned from personal experience to not underestimate the importance of water in the desert. Better too much than not enough ha!

    Do you carry for protection.?
Geez one slip and you could be the subject of a new movie

Back in Alaska I always carried. But I’ve never felt the need to hear in Utah. And I do think about that movie a lot in some of these places. Luckily though, all these canyons are pretty well known and lots of people hike them. Which is unlike bluejohn canyon where that poor guy lost his arm. But still, I don’t want to get squished. 😬
