I think the enricher would be a game-changer if it worked on seeds too. I can imagine how quickly the people with junimo huts would jump on these, fill the enricher with seeds, and never have to worry about gathering OR replanting... Until the season changes, of course, only to come back, change the seeds, take the crops from the huts and the cycle repeats.

    • @gracehol17
      @gracehol17 3 года назад +2

@@Solus749 well it's useless for me because of the way I want it to work. When in summer you plant starfruit, you need to water it on the 1st day (same with blueberries and ancient fruit and othercrops) or otherwise you can't get two harvests (if you don't have tiller profession). So you need to hoe, plant, water and fertilize everything on the first day. In this occasion enreachers can be potentially you saviour. But. They will fertilize your crop only on the 2nd day (because you missed working sprinklers on first day). But on the 2nd day your crops are already growing so they don't get fertilized.
My point is that if you need to water your seeds and fertilize them on the same day - enreachers are useless. And if I don't need to water, then I can just fertilize it myself, it doesn't take that much time.

Enricher nozzles and worm bin are almost essential to me in my farm. For Ginger Island pressure nozzles do sound better but for the main farm, where you usually have junimo huts too, having enricher not only saves time, it also just makes it possible to put seeds AND fertliser in big areas when otherwise you wouldn't have the time to, even in end game. And if you grow giant crops, walking around them another time for fertiliser and making sure every spot is done is exhausting. Worm bins are just very convenient to have even if bait is cheap, you always know you'll have some basic bait around for crab pots, especially if you're too lazy to go to the beach or aren't grinding for bug meat.

I disagree completely on the enricher. It's value increased with the size of your field, and how you want to manage your time. Prior to having them, I didn't even use fertilizers at all because hoeing, watering and planting everything took so long, and I got one less strawberry and starfruit harvest per year without them. Now I get 6 strawberry harvests and 3 starfruit harvests because I don't have to worry about manually putting fertilizers down and only need to check the enrichers every summer (to switch for what I use for cranberries, although that is changing soon to be pumpkins instead.) or every winter. The pressure nozzle has it's uses, but I feel like the QoL offered by the enricher is superior.

I think that the real comparison between the enricher and the pressure nozzle is in money gained. With the pressure nozzle, you need to use fewer sprinklers, which means slightly more ground space is available for planting. With the enricher, less time is required to both plant and fertilize crops. For someone who has converted the entire farm for plants, this is going to mean more higher-quality crops. So higher-quality crops vs. slightly more crops. That's the tradeoff.

This is actually a horrible strategy because there are far more profitable plants to put on Ginger. You should grow fairy rose during fall, since fall crops are the least valuable and you can easily dedicate your entire farm to them and have more than enough for the rest of the year.

@@omegahaxors9-11 I do get the majority of my fairy rose during fall since I have a lot of farm area, and only use part of my island for it, my island is mostly sweet gem berries, starfruit, and pineapples. But I’m trying to reach a billion and at this point I still have stacks of starfruit wine to age plus ancient fruit wine and starfruit wine to make. I do a lot of planting on my farm so the fruit I have now will last me over a year or probably two to process so it’s a good strategy for me and has worked well as I try to get 1 billion gold. It all depends on where you are in game. Currently I’m just trying to get through all my current stacks which should get me to 1 billion. But also you don’t have to plant on ginger island if aren’t rich enough to use that space yet. I get enough fairy rose to last me the year from fall already. It makes up for the loss in profit by allowing you to bring in four batches of Iridium quality wine a year instead of two. However, the cost of the Fairy Dust makes this only worth the effort to produce the diamonds and grow the Fairy Rose if you are producing Starfruit wine. So, thumbs up on your analysis of Fairy Dust!

I actually like the hopper, if only because it gives me a place to dump all my unwanted items that are queued up for the deconstructor. I put that setup in a high traffic area, and every time I walk by I just grab whatever item is ready for me. It takes forever, yes, but I'm not really in a hurry to get the individual stones I get back from extra gravel paths anyway. The fact that you have to pick up the output before a new input goes in does greatly diminish its usefulness for other applications, since when you grab the output you could just feed in a new input manually. Because of this, the best use is for when you have a bunch of items that don't stack that need to be fed into a single machine you probably don't have tons of, like the deconstructor. I could also see it being useful for forging, since it can hold the coal you'd need, too. Third-tier uses would include recycling, geode crushing, and maybe mayo production if you have a variety of egg-laying animals, since eggs can very easily overwhelm your inventory.

And Botanist only gives you a little extra on most of your forageables, it's really only useful for truffles otherwise. That iridium quality doesn't transfer to any goods you decide to make with your forageables, too.

I would say that using the enricher placed that morning on planting day and filling in the gaps between the spots the enricher misses would be the best use of it, then replacing it with the pressure nozzle for the rest of the season.
The salmonberry and black berries, while yes low money are good to save back for processing (kegs or preserves jars) on the main farm during the winter after unlocking Ginger island so that the main farm is at least making some money (saving enough kegs to process the weekly ancient fruit from the greenhouse of course) since by that point in the game most players have mostly pigs in their barns and only really get some income from a coop (main farm only) if they have one. Though during the winter after ginger island is unlocked, most money making activities will take place there anyways.
The fairy dust is honestly best used if you are processing extremely large batches (a full farm's worth) of high-value starfruit wine in the kegs, but using that on casks is a bit of a waste of resources. Though if you are using seed makers to produce the seeds needed to replant the fairy roses the material costs of the dust go down sigificantly, and in my personal choice of going with increased geode finding chance over more profit from gems, makes the material cost for using the normal quaility fairy rose (using higher quaility ones make no sense) and the non perk-boosted diamond makes the fairy dust cost 1040 gold worth of materials instead of 1265 gold. *This product only makes sense to use if you can easily produce all the materials to make it without losing out on normal money making.
I personally don't use the botanist or tracker perfession as I usually go with the perk that drops both more wood per tree and then the follow up hardwood from all trees perk, but I also don't usually get a full barn of pigs early on so changing the profession later makes more sense with my playstyle which is unlock as fast as possible/framework what I want to do first, fill in later.
My favored tackle is the trap bobber, however that is also because of the fact I usually don't spend too much time fishing after the community center.

Even with a lot of practice, I still struggle with the bar bouncing off the bottom, so I do like the concept of the Lead Bobber. My problem with it is that I need this bobber earlier in the game, and you don't get fishing tackle as an option until Level 7, when the Iridium Rod becomes available. By that point, it's just easier for me to use the Trap Bobber instead. If it were a tackle that could be attached to an earlier level rod, I would absolutely use it more often.

Yeah. But After Seeing the Slow Losing Progess, My Mind quite change. I actually hate when fish go down and is practically impossible for me to catch up and don't have enough time to get up. Im pretty sure Lead Bobber is my way to get 10 Cucumber.

you have to tap the button right before your fishing bar lands, it'll prevent your fishing bar from bouncing.

@@brandohalstead7654 - I try this but it’s difficult to control. Probably just delayed reaction time from sight to brain, but still a challenge for me.

I use the Salmon and Blackberries in jelly cans especially in the later game. Process them and they are worth more.
