I get some serious Sonic Infinity Engine vibes lol. The Spin Dash by itself isn't that overpowered but the fact you can go into max speed with the No Air Deceleration is what really makes it crazy. Overpowered as heck but it does make Cyberspace waay more enjoyable to play.

The way you mastered your, magnet dashes, spindashes and decelerated momentum jumps is starting to look like an early gameplay leak of Sonic Adventure 3! Sonic Team should implement this type of gameplay in the next sonic game moving forward. Just saying;)
lol you really do get the Adventure speedrun vibes with the way the spin dash is. I'm not a huge fan of the magnet dash, especially with how it can be used vertically to really obliterate some levels, outside of that though I like the rest of the mechanics.
@@sonicovertimethe spindash does the same tho. You can easily jump over everything with it. Crazy thing to say, but sonic should be made slower than his lv 99 speed in the next game or the levels larger, because everything is broken too easily.

Homing dash still is better than the rest though as it can shoot you into the sky. Also it's just more tedious to perform so I'm not a fan as much
They really abandoned and curbstomped the SA gameplay in that one despite its attempts to appear like another SA game, the spindash in that game is horrific to use especially with the way you can’t jump out of it

Not only is spin Dash the very useful tool in every Sonic game since Sonic the Hedgehog 2 but boost is also the very useful tool in every Sonic games too since sonic rush oh yeah by the way what is Sonic wearing on his head looks like a special gold crown is that another free DLC costume. 💙🦔💙
People say it breaks the game, but like, surface level you're only gomna be using that to fly off a ramp on cyberspace and going actually fast on 2D. It really breaks the game when you actually try and learn the routing, and it makes for really high skill ceiling, something that pre-update cyberspace lacked.
Personally, I think both can coexist if the boost is treated as a reward for skilled gameplay. At that point, it’s about maintaining your boost using momentum and the level design to your advantage, and also regaining it once you use it up.
Anyone who spent years defending the boost games and talking down elements of the SA style gameplay people really wanted to see in Frontiers are panicking at the return of jump momentum conservation and the spindash and specifically the godlike SA1 style spindash, they cant handle the idea of movement options like this that let you bend the game to your will without it being absurd and obtuse as the tricks in the boost games like -m-speed, hell they probably even hate that it’s possible to jump through loops to skip them now.
Gray = Homing Dash Red = Spin Dash Gold = Jump momentum Blue = Powerboost Basically a way the game marks if you use abilities that were unintended/added post-launch
This spindash has made 2D a lot more fun and fast paced now FINALLY

Sonic stays curled as long as you hold the jump button. Same goes for double jump.
