Nah your editing is so clean and the way you explain stuff is really good. I tried watching kharax82 and his videos are very good but you are much easier to follow
For the record, MAX is just the limited of energy hatch tiers. You can - and will - feed orders of magnitude more power into multis lategame, and endgame you'll be measuring your power grid in max tier Eyes of Harmony rather than EU/t. It's one thing that IMO GTNH does very well, escalating numbers in a way that the player actually can keep track of rather than feeling like you're working with an arbitrary statistic from start to finish. There are indeed more boots added to 2.5, and in addition (though I believe this was also present in prior versions as well?) there's config options to modify the speed boost that the various upgraded Boots of the Traveller give you, so you don't have to risk getting fatally irradiated by not wearing hazmat protected boots. That said there is an enchantment that gives hazmat protection (as well as the Talisman of Remedium to remove radiation sickness), so there's alternative options there as well. One saying that is very useful to keep in mind, and that Three has forgotten more than once in the past: "Measure twice, cut once" 🙃. Most EBF recipes you want to use circuit 11 and avoid using circuit 1, but there are situations where circuit 1 is the only option, so sharing input buses with different circuits is a dubious prospect at best. That's mainly why I'm actually not a large fan of quad EBFs, since you cannot overclock them and have unshared input buses at the same time, but this situation makes a good case for them. Overclocking those EBFs to LuV would flatline Three's fledgeling power grid quite badly even if they were Volcani, while you want to share the expensive HSS-S coils as much as possible, so quad EBFs seem the obvious solution here. Cutting corners on the power net is something you can do in GTNH, but in general I wouldn't recommend it. There are instances where something will draw more power than expected and burn the cable, there's instances where you expand a setup without first checking/upgrading the cables and burn it, and if that's not bad enough you could end up burning a cable in a place where it's able to spawn a fire and detonate machines outright. My recommendation is to make sure every cable on a given line is capable of supporting the maximum amount of amps that could ever be send on that line. Is it excessive and a waste of materials? Yes, absolutely. But materials shouldn't be the bottleneck in GTNH, if it is than you need better processing/crafting infrastructure. The biggest bottleneck is ultimately your sanity, and nearly having your first EBF detonate because you didn't wire it up correctly (not that I ever did that, totally...*cough*) is somewhat suboptimal in that regard 🙃. So people might be wondering how 800 EU/t supposedly caps out a generator that produces almost 8000 EU/t. Slight calculation errors aside what Three said is correct in principle: Wireless connectors are not as expensive as they used to be, but IV is still not the time to be spamming them carelessly (unless you intentionally overbuild your power production, of course). Circa LuV/ZPM, however, they're much more affordable to use in large quantities, and you might end up swapping most of your AE2 system over to wireless connectors, skipping the whole "P2P subnet" step altogether. To see how much power wireless connectors consume just look at the tooltip. It'll say how much energy it consumes in AE/t, simply halve that number to get the power cost in EU/t. If you're having trouble mass-producing MV tier circuits when you access AE2, let stand post-platline, mistakes were made 🙃. Remember to build your foundation before trying to build your house, otherwise it'll just collapse. GTNH factories are little different in this regard, despite what the floating soon to be parking lot base might imply RE: laws of gravity. Note that with Volcani the "passive everything" strategy can still work in GTNH. Bees and/or diligent management of MBMs can keep your factory supplied on materials, power isn't *too* much of a concern given how efficient Volcani are (if you try this with regular EBFs, though, oh boy...), and compared to lategame such a setup would be nothing noteworthy. That said the reason you generally don't go for that strategy in GTNH is because it's unnecessary. With enough Volcani, or a sufficiently powered MEBF, smelting ingots will not be the bottleneck, so you don't get much from passively crafting them. There's one very notable exception to this rule later on, though, and passively cooking *those* ingots in volcani is considered the norm as a result. Once you have a T2 rocket and are diligently mining pure Titanium ore I don't believe you have to care about fluid output on EBF recipes bar specific setups. That said there's always a chance and always some random recipe you'll have to run a few times for some random thing or another, so keep it in the back of your mind regardless. With a system like this IMO you might as well build in automated redstone control that shuts off the machine if it's got a maintenance issue. It shouldn't meaningfully impact production speed if one turns off, but it will save you from having to burn extra power to run an EBF with a maintenance issue. That said given that this setup feeds the EBFs 2A of power into a single energy hatch they can keep running through even five maintenance issues just fine, so long as the battery doesn't run out of power completely or too much power is requested on that line. Remember that whatever other plans you may have in the works - digitising storage, moving rutile processing, etc. - are, more than likely, all contingent on being able to power said plans. Without power you can move AE2 controllers and storage and whatever else all day long, but not have anything to show for it until after you upgrade power well enough to actually use is. Hence I don't think what comes next is much of a question: Getting possessed by a demonic squirrel and suddenly diving into Blood Magic. I mean, clearly 🙃.
the thumbnails remind me of an Etho thumbnail, the laid back nature of these videos fit that, and god I’m feeling so good when watching this series aaaaaa I missed you three 🥺
I have missed your uploads so much three :) I completely dont mind the new pace, your videos still have the same charm, i think the common denominator is just you being you making anything interesting to watch I am glad you are back mate.
For the nano jetpack there's a keybind for Boost key (you can use CTRL) which makes you fly faster. Also with travellers boots, in new (2.5.x) all of the boots can change speeds and jump height.
Hi Threefold, I'm a medical student, so I watch your videos at night after a hard day. Your videos put a smile on my face, it's really good to have you back. I follow you since the beggining of the saison 1 of gtnh. Love you and i hope the better for you !!
One thought I had with the old machines when you take them down, as you'd asked for ideas on, would be maybe using Z-Tones blocks as approximations to fill back in the holes, maybe even with signs saying what machine used to reside in that area. Kind of like a museum to the time in the old base. It's good to see you back and at it again as well, Three. You're the one that got me as deep into DJ2 as I got, and with the ideas for passive crafting. It added many more interesting challenges to the base, as well as made it so much easier to get to the next step not having to wait for everything to craft up. Looking forward to the continuation of GT:NH and that Tier 7 rocket, maybe beyond!
Hi Three, I am happy to see you pumping out content so fast. However, I do not mind if you slow down a little bit too and have more fun with the game yourself. We all do not want to see you force yourself and burnout again. Take care!
First comment on anything, in like 12 years. I just have to say, a huge thanks for the effort you put in! I love and whole hearted enjoy the series - aswell as the 'new' format. Been longing for some proper modded, since i have watched your entire backcatalog! Cheers Three!
Thanks for sharing with me. I really do appreciate the kind words and the fact that you have chosen to join me again on the journey through NH. The new format I knew wouldn't be for everyone as it is different to the beginning of the series, but I'm enjoying making videos this way. It's nice to hear that others are on board. Thanks again
I don't know how or who you are, but I thank you. I used to binge your S2 GTNH playlist when i was in the Steam Age, and I learned a lot from you, like chunk-aligment, base planning, and so on and so forth. Hope you only the best. Keep up the good work!
I was never the person to comment or participate on Discord, but I always watched every episode of yours when it came out. Love the content, and am so excited for your return.
I think you do power storage, then ME re-wire, then sort the ore processing and storage! That way nothing is holding you back from fleshing it out the best you can :) Love to have you back man, you're loved and appreciated
Seeing you make mistakes in real time actually make me much more comfortable with making my own mistakes in giant and honestly confusing modpacks like GTNH. Keep up the good work Three!
Me and my friends found this series around 2 months ago and I was so in love with it you did amazing by showing and explaining everything you did on your way and we were all so disappointed/heartbroken that the series had come to an end. And we hoped you would return sometime sooner than later. And looks like you did. Thanks for always being amazing and throw yourself into these projects 🫶
Thanks for coming back and posting your progress again. I don't really care what the content looks like because you always do such a great job with it!
Love your vids, started watching your gtnh play through weeks ago. I have managed to catch up to this point so far. I think it's kinda sad seeing you leave the old base, since for me there was no months long break. But I prefer the play through to keep going in the void world over it stopping entirely. You do you, it's still just as enjoyable to watch.
I'm so glad to see you posting again Three! Keep at the pace that makes you most happy and don't push yourself too much. I'll watch you for you, not for anything else.
i am rewatching this for the 2nd time because these videos are so good, I watch (listen mainly) it on my 2nd monitor while I play minecraft on my other monitor, thanks for coming back to GTNH i really missed ya
I love the oldschool Threefold content :) back to your roots, what I originally subscribed for! Keep up the fantastic work, even if it's just you being you!
Very happy to see you back making videos! I have been rewatching a lot of your older videos to get my GT:NH fix, but low and behold, you're back! Can't wait to keep up with the Threefold journey!
I liked the editing of the earlier episodes because the editing was neat, it was charming! But i like this style even more, this feels genuine, like instead of seeing a finished product, it feels like I'm in a discord call watching you stream this to the server. It's a genuine joy to have you back Three! Don't forget to take lots of breaks and stay hydrated!
Your videos always make me happy and excited to play more of this game. I've been playing Minecraft since 2012 when I was just starting highschool, and although I've enjoyed many, many games in that time nothing ever makes me feel quite like this one.
This game is special for sure. I think there are a lot of us who have played for 10+ years. I started playing in 2011 and I was also near the beginning of High School at the time. Even though so much time has passed, I still think we will be playing this game for many years to come. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it :D
I thoroughly enjoy your content and I am happy that you are back messing around with this pack. One thing I enjoy about you playing it, when you talk about machines and materials, I constantly find myself googling said item and learning more about it. Yes you do a great job explaining what you're doing, I am just that type of person. Thank you for another awesome video.
Welcome back Threefold! I think this is my first time commenting but I've been watching for a while, I'm glad you're back and that you were able to take a break and still enjoy the game/making videos! Love watching these since I could never wrap my mind around gregtech myself. I'm actually pretty hyped for more potential thaumcraft, however many episodes that is in the future :P
Thanks for leaving a comment, I'm glad you're enjoying the series! I'm actually looking forward to messing with Thaumcraft again too, I'm not sure when it will be but it's necessary for us to achieve our goal :D
I’m happy you’re back to making videos - I’m playing gtnh with my bf and am only watching episodes at the level of progress we’re at, but I love the series and and excited to see more (in about 10000000 hours)
I have started a new college semester a small bit ago, and this series being rebooted has immensely helped with stress and filled me with so much joy of what's to come. Good luck with the pack Three!
As I said on your return video. I am so glad you are back. Truly your return has made me very happy. To see your builds and wirings and such give me confidence to do the same. It's fair to say I started gtnh because of your videos.
im so happy you are having fun again. it may have just been placebo but your last few videos before you left felt like something wasnt right. you have regained your spark and passion and its very nice to see!
I cannot express how glad i am that youre back in action. I found your channel at the start of this series, and you quickly became my favorite modded minecraft youtuber. Love what youre doing. Glad youre no longer feeling burned out
This series was the of best things I watched on YT last year, glad it's back! You've really got a knack for it that I have trouble finding anywhere else.
I'm just glad to see you back and having a blast! you were the one that got me into Minecraft Expert packs, I started playing along with your FTB Inferno series, and from there I started playing along with your GT:NH series. you've helped my through FTB interactions and I started a Nomifactory playthrough too it's been so much fun so, Thank you and we certainly are glad to see you back!
I am really liking the pacing of the series. Helps show just how much of a beast this pack is. Playing through IV (before my world corrupted 😢) definitely helps understand everything that’s going on, but I’d imagine anyone who’s seen the whole series can probably follow it. Also I like the longer videos
Loved the video as always three You might as well have one stocking input hatch shared between the four blast furnaces in the middle, because it will pull everything in the me system into it anyway, four is a waste. You can fill the stocking input hatches will all the circuits, the blast furnaces seem to be smart enough to choose the most efficient recipe with fluids. You can also have the stocking input hatches stock a circuit and the blast furnace will recognise it and do recipes of that number. You don’t actually need the machine controllers on the blast furnaces, by default if they run out of power they will turn off and stay off until you turn them on again. At a guess the reason why your plat line is broken is because machines now don’t auto void, they turn off instead of voiding. somewhere you probably have a chemical reactor which produces water as a byproduct which isn’t turning on because it doesn’t want to void the water, you can disable this in the machine’s UI. The next big gate is the assembly line and you’ll need an obscene amount of circuits for it. I would suggest focusing on building multi block on demand crafting so you can craft those mainframes quickly. While you’re spending forever waiting for crafting the assembly line you could consider doing some magic, or even bees, as you should now be able to make the industrial apiary. I regret not touching bees until zpm because a lot of the resources they make are redundant by then, although certainly not all.
Idk if you will see this but I like watching everything, you're videos are really informative for new players like me, I havnt played gtnh much but ita nice to learn. If you want to "preserve" the world you can always break the old stuff now and when you are able to you can replace the machine and just not the wiring
Nobody is more enjoyable to watch while explaining GT nonsense. Keep making videos for you, not for us, we'll enjoy it regardless. So glad you're back and better than ever.
Another comment said that this more laid back style reminds them of Etho, and I have to say I agree! Etho's my favorite youtuber of all time (and the one that got me into modded minecraft with his Project Ozone 2 series), so I've been loving this!
Okay that's a genius setup. I'm going to change my EBF setups to work like that. It's flexible and extensible. Those stocking input buses are marvellous.
Ohh it might be fun to cover the old base in leaves/vines, as if it is from a lifeform in the past. Make it look overgrown and leave some remnants behind. Thanks for the episode Threefold, you owe us nothing, I have enjoyed your content for years and I am glad you are back to making videos. ps. thanks for helping me beat Nomifactory ;)
you could also place interface-storage bus on the subnet and have it make the output items accessible to the main net that way, to use less main net channels
Fun to see you back at it :) I’m trying to stay motivated in my Nomifactory playthrough, I wish I had half of the odd little automation trinkets you have in GTNH. Good luck!
with most big youtubers leaving, seeing you come back from the dead is the best that could happen. It seems like that we have hit wall with most youtubers burning out trying to compete with shorts and their like. And i guess the best way to combat this is by having fun and only doing things that are fun.
I think you can still only use one wireless connector for AE in the new setup with the input hatches, just remove the original wireless connector and quartz-fiber connect the new one to the cable next to it.
For the green subnet under the EBFs, wouldn't you want to avoid making a loop out of that ME cable? I'm no AE2 expert but I think I remember that you want to avoid having multiple paths back to the ME controller from any one device, I think it causes the controller to get confused and start giving one device multiple channels? Or the channel it does get switches around causing the device to drop of the network randomly...? Not 100% sure Edit: A moot point I guess after Three reworked the outputs to end up back in the main network, but my question remains. I'll double check the AE2 wiki
Hey Threefold - I'm glad to see you're back! I've been playing GTNH and referring to your videos and you restarted just as I was catching up! I have an idea that might (or might not) explain why your Platline isn't running: So one of the things I noticed is that multiblocks in my playthrough in 2.4.0 didn't work the way you described in your old videos - they don't void extra ingredients unless you specifically set that mode. So all the fluid detector covers/machine controller covers ("redstone on, machine on") to make sure I wasn't voiding my product ended up not being necessary. But you built your system in that old version and then upgraded to 2.5.1 (I think?). So your platline could be backing up on ingredients you didn't care about (e.g.: water) and were just letting the LCRs and whatnot auto-void in the old version - except that in this new version they just fill up and stop the line from running. That is, admittedly, just total guesswork. But it seems plausible, hence this comment.
I don't blame you guys if you are lost during all this :D
With you back to guide us, are we ever truly lost?
I am lost, but you're a fine GPS
Might be lost, but enjoying the videos. Glad you have returned.
Lost ? not me ! im on a different Route ! ;)

Glad to see this series! Our group never made it past the scrub test of the IV to LuV+ transition. Totally failed at power generation scaling.
Though I'm really glad to be able to watch new threefold videos, hearing how happy you are to be back is even better!
I have started a new college semester a small bit ago, and this series being rebooted has immensely helped with stress and filled me with so much joy of what's to come. Good luck with the pack Three!
This is one of if not the best modded series I have watched. I was so happy to find out you came back three.
As I said on your return video. I am so glad you are back. Truly your return has made me very happy. To see your builds and wirings and such give me confidence to do the same. It's fair to say I started gtnh because of your videos.
i like how from just the ep50 to 51 you got like 1000x more comfortable recording videos again thats amazing to see
im so happy you are having fun again. it may have just been placebo but your last few videos before you left felt like something wasnt right. you have regained your spark and passion and its very nice to see!
I cannot express how glad i am that youre back in action. I found your channel at the start of this series, and you quickly became my favorite modded minecraft youtuber. Love what youre doing. Glad youre no longer feeling burned out
Literally top of my recommended feed! I love this series so much 😊
This series was the of best things I watched on YT last year, glad it's back! You've really got a knack for it that I have trouble finding anywhere else.
I love the new style of videos Three! And it really sounds like you’re having a great time recording it. So happy you’re back!
Now that I know those videos are not granted for us I enjoy and value them so much more. Love what you are doing. ❤
These videos are going to be a ton of help when I get to this point of GTNH I know that for a fact. Hell earlier vids in the series have helped me too
I'm just glad to see you back and having a blast! you were the one that got me into Minecraft Expert packs, I started playing along with your FTB Inferno series, and from there I started playing along with your GT:NH series. you've helped my through FTB interactions and I started a Nomifactory playthrough too it's been so much fun so, Thank you and we certainly are glad to see you back!
I am really liking the pacing of the series. Helps show just how much of a beast this pack is. Playing through IV (before my world corrupted 😢) definitely helps understand everything that’s going on, but I’d imagine anyone who’s seen the whole series can probably follow it.
Also I like the longer videos
21:01 didn't expect this but it definetly made me laugh when i heard it
And they just keep coming. Truly a return of the century ;)
Loved the video as always three
You might as well have one stocking input hatch shared between the four blast furnaces in the middle, because it will pull everything in the me system into it anyway, four is a waste.
You are basically my go to gtnh RUclipsr to make my base optimal
THREE you made me download GTNH. I dont know a thing about gregtech but i am here to suffer along. Thanks for your videos :D
Same he dragged me into GTNH
Nobody is more enjoyable to watch while explaining GT nonsense. Keep making videos for you, not for us, we'll enjoy it regardless. So glad you're back and better than ever.
I was sad when I found out that it was over, but when I saw the new video, a smile spread across my face.
MORE GTNH , amazing work , thank you so much.
Another comment said that this more laid back style reminds them of Etho, and I have to say I agree! Etho's my favorite youtuber of all time (and the one that got me into modded minecraft with his Project Ozone 2 series), so I've been loving this!
I love that series by Etho! He also happens to be my favourite channel on RUclips :D
Because of your videos I have regained an Intrests in gregtech and am back to playing tj. Great upload schedule btw
Nice!! Have fun in TJ I heard it's a really fun pack :D
Me personally i think it's worth to focus an entire episode on energy and power. Having the luxury of power let's you expand without issues.
Love the going into detail about automation with subnets love learning about that
i like the new threefold! like a comfort youtuber for me
50 minutes of GTNH with Threefold?????!! I cant believe it, Im so darn happy youre making content again.
We been patiently waiting for you threefold! Just enjoy the game and we will follow you through your goal to the rocket.
Those wires under the blast furnaces looked like some alien spider monster guarding its babies lol.
you could also place interface-storage bus on the subnet and have it make the output items accessible to the main net that way, to use less main net channels
Fun to see you back at it :) I’m trying to stay motivated in my Nomifactory playthrough, I wish I had half of the odd little automation trinkets you have in GTNH. Good luck!
Perfect Timing! Thanks Three
with most big youtubers leaving, seeing you come back from the dead is the best that could happen. It seems like that we have hit wall with most youtubers burning out trying to compete with shorts and their like. And i guess the best way to combat this is by having fun and only doing things that are fun.
Many good youtubers are leaving this month, it's nice to see one to come back
Great episode! 3rd already, but I still don't believe that Three is back! I'm just happy
I missed you so much Three. Im so glad youre back ❤️❤️❤️
Great episode! Thank you
I think you can still only use one wireless connector for AE in the new setup with the input hatches, just remove the original wireless connector and quartz-fiber connect the new one to the cable next to it.
22:25 the most genuine confusion I've ever seen 😂
A lot of greg this episode ❤
Oh thank god I just got my wisdom teeth removed and this is the perfect thing to watch while I’m stuck on the couch
I like your philosophy with these vids
The world is healing, still super excited to see you uploading again. Very cool seeing you on twitch the other day 😎 greg
it's great to see you back
still so happy toure back but prioritize your own happiness and take breaks !
Something that also I should mention is that in void worlds, the frames are going to be significantly higher (for obv reasons). Fly high, Foldy!
Not 100% sure
Edit: A moot point I guess after Three reworked the outputs to end up back in the main network, but my question remains. I'll double check the AE2 wiki
im so glad you are back
day 100% better after bombing my test. love you three
Happy to see you back😁
Happy to be back! Thanks for watching :))
I love these episodes!
"We? There's no we" 😂
Threefold is truly the modded minecraft Heisenberg
Didn't expect 20:58 at all 😂So good
I missed the music parts of your videos ! As always it is a pleasure to watch ! (And maybe hear you sing ? 😳)
I saw the notification and yelled out "Yeah! Gregtech!"
Thank god you’re back 😊
Great vid, as always!
Hey Threefold - I'm glad to see you're back! I've been playing GTNH and referring to your videos and you restarted just as I was catching up!
I have an idea that might (or might not) explain why your Platline isn't running:
So one of the things I noticed is that multiblocks in my playthrough in 2.4.0 didn't work the way you described in your old videos - they don't void extra ingredients unless you specifically set that mode.
I think it is something related to the machine controller behaviour changes. I'll have to put some time aside to investigate :D
BSFI sounds like a sick achronym for blast furnace system integration. Appropriate for a sick setup!
