Both the Halo games and books show the different Covenant species fighting alongside each other, the Tau and their auxiliary troops are shown to do the same in the books but this isn't reflected on the tabletop game at all.
I actually played tau in dawn of war dark crusade, it was actually fun to build up an army of both fire warriors and kroot troops and see them both work together to take down their enemies
I still play the game 🎮, dark cursade is very fun and classical game. I love T'au ❤ for being the most tech and shooting army. I love the hammer 🔨 head tank.
Any picture of Tau fighting another army always depict Tau as the losing side. Because if they’re winning, they’ll be 10 continents away from where the army they’re shooting at.

Honestly any race to be in the 40k universe, i would be a tau. You get AC. Great living conditions, and you ride a battle suit into battle listening to music and not getting tired from all the running. Possibly the best faction to live in as they dont know the horrors of the galaxy so they are blissfully unaware and hopeful rather then constantly feeling a sense of doom
Eh, resources are always finite, the greater good is always designed for those considered greater than the rest. You'll likely end up in the same conditions as you would find yourself in the imperium. Except you're now a heretic, so when you inevitably die, you'll find yourself without the emperor to stop the warp from devouring your meager soul. Me, I'll happily eat my corpse starch and pick up my lasrifle to kill the alien, heretic, and the traitor..
The tau for now are essentially humanity from dead space, just give them a few years and they may end up as humanity from doom if things go south, or worst, the cybermen from doctor who
The Voice is as fantastic as ever, I must say it definitely stands above the other generated ones I have heard elsewhere. Sounding natural in tone through its whole speech, great content as always

I'm right after listening to "Farsight. Crisis of Faith" audiobook that gives much better understanding of Tau. I know as they newest faction that for many reasons stands against grim dark future standards so many fans hate or mock them but... You can denide they're probably most logical faction that really looks over simple Joe, not just use him as canon fodder.
Really wish the auxiliares were expanded beyond the antediluvian Kroot and Vespid models, maybe even add rules for limited Votann presence representing the Demiurgs. Sadly, GW really wants us to buy Ultramarines Liutenant #578644 and Necron Super Mega Overlord with Rollerskaters and Air Fryer.
I remember seeing a kitbash of a Tau Auxiliary Trooper where they made a Last of Us looking mushroom Xenos, and I'm surprised that there isn't more videos of people doing that since the Tau would be the best for brainstorming random new Xenos species and designing incredibly unique races
I used to hate the Tau, for being just a easy cash grab to get the east asian market, made by people who do not understand east asians. But as their lore have expanded, I have come to respect them as a fully develop faction. Still, would not play them as first choice, but if I meet them in a game, I might try them as 4th or 5th choice.

No, they just got that way by working together. Imagine how Earth would look if all wars and conflicts stopped, and everyone just spent all their time trying to advance the technology and welfare of the species? All science being shared across the globe with every other scientist rather than kept secret by militaries and pharmaceutical companies. Our technology would increase massively too.
All factions (except Drukari) pretends to be the good guys, in their own lore. Even Chaos pretend to just want to liberate the other races. Or at least they do, when the lore is written correctly.
They lack warp travel, without an FTL system they'll take centuries to get anywhere interesting. They're stuck in their backwater part of the galaxy until they get that.
@@PeregrineBF To be fair, according to their latest books they just invented their own non-warp-based FTL system. It's almost as fast as the Imperium's Warp travel without using the Warp.

Something admirable about the Tau is that every caste member knows their purpose and place, unlike humans where we have forced quotas to exalt less competent to virtue signal.
