YES. Oh my word, I remember seeing Jesper and being like "he is perfect" Like Kit was Jesper. Jesper is Kit. I can see no flaws, it's crazy since I did have a few problems with Inej and Kaz but Jesper was so perfect it hurt
My only criticism is that kaz isn’t ruthless enough. His and Inej’s established relationship isn’t one of employer and investment but of... somewhat friends? Which isn’t much of a big change but the further it goes down the line the farther it will diverge from the original kanej subplot.

I thoroughly enjoyed the casting/acting/writing of Jesper and Inez, but honestly didn't like how Kaz was portrayed all that much I dunno, a whole lot of his moments just felt unearned and fake. In the book he comes off as a whole lot smarter and more ruthless, but he still maintains plenty of likability. His backstory is crucial in this, but what really made him solid to me was his very first scene, told from Inez's perspective, where he meets with a rival gang, outsmarts everyone present and accomplishes several things at once. It's the perfect set up of a character and tells the readers everything you need to know about Kaz, hes cunning, always has something up his sleeve, and is able to improvise when all else fails. In contrast, show Kaz just feels like a cheap imitation, there are a few scenes that show more of the ruthless characterization, but he really doesn't seem as strong and important a player as in the books. This is probably helped by the fact that instead of being in Ketterdam, his home territory, for a good chunk of the first act, the Crows are thrown right into Ravka. It isnt all that bad, but I'm hoping season 2 will up the game with Kaz. But I will say, Jesper and Inez were, again, excellent.

I love how, because this was the Shadow and Bone plot, they literally accomplished NOTHING, and yet they were EVERYTHING. And the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern award goes to...
Bridge Theatre's Midsummer Night's Dream made me a Kit fan. Kit made me a Six of Crows fan. Six of Crows made me a Jesper fan. Jesper made me an even bigger Kit fan. Round and round and round it goes.

That line always cracks me up 😂 Also you forgot the part where they are lined up with the circus to enter the Little Palace and there's this guard checking their papers who says "no guns, no knives, no weapons of any kind" Jesper and Inej's reactions are priceless 😂
Those 3 dislikes are from the guy that got thrown out of The Crow Club, the guy Jesper knocked out with his gun (I think that that's Ivan, but I'm not sure) and the stable boy he slept with cuz he knows he will never be blessed with Jespers presence ever again (and cus Jesper belongs with Waylan)

So when I say "hes better in the show than in the books" I guess I mean "in the show I like him better in comparison to other caracters than I liked him in the books in comparison to other characters" (so in the books he was my 2nd fav character together with Inej, but in the show he is my favourite character because all the characters are altered and kind of a little... less impressive to me? but I liked him equally as much as in the books so I consider it a win haha) Sorry Im confusing even myself with this comment
