I’ve watched this season over and over and over again. Many reasons 1. Jesper and Wylan. It happened a bit quickly and it may effect the later story, but who cares. Wylan. 2. We finally get the true Kaz Brekker from Freddy Carter. No more nice Kaz Brekker. It really did change my life. 3. The crows in general.
@@ellas_nook I think it was so much more satisfying when it was a slow burn and they’ve never met before. Because then we see Jesper’s naturally flirty nature. And we get to See Wylan get so flustered all the time. And I also think Wylan’s character was developed so much more quickly in the show. He’s supposed to be extremely shy until near then end of the second book where the stakes are so high they could all die, and then he kissed Jesper which is a very bold move. But in the show, only a few episodes in since he’s been introduced and he’s already like, they’ve already had a relationship and it’s Mostly because of Wylan, that makes him a lot more bold in the show. And it’s not a bad thing, but it will probably take away from the ice court heist a bit, because we will also miss other instances, such as when Jesper breaks them out of the cell when they are all just so confused about how they are going to do it, but in the show they already know he’s an Grisha, so in order to give us a good second season, they have to take from the third season.
@@aikolikesartyea I agree! I was a bit dubious about Jesper's lack of flirting tbh... "he was torn between flirting him to a quiet corner" I wanted this quote to be seen.... Also unless they do a full spin off, we won't get the "just girls?" scene which is literally ICONIC
i dont think anyone understands just how distraught I am because we need something else immediately. no one could ever play Kaz Brekker better than Freddy Carter
Honestly, the crows are the main thing that makes the show watchable. I seriously wouldn't have stuck around for high magic political scheming with a tragic heroine who's stuck in a love triangle. - other properties do that way better. But the crows - they're simply fun - and explain why the political scheming even matters.
He just flips it behind his hand, you can see it fold away. He essentially uses his middle finger to hold it at an angle so you can’t see it. The initial flick is to distract your eyes and hide the movement.

Why did idiot have to go and push Inej away like that? what is he so afraid of? like, ik he has a problem with physical contact because of the whole "had to use his older brother's corpse as a raft to escape an island of bodies" thing, but why does he have to be so horrible when it comes to emotions in general? what is he so afraid of?
as a neurodivergent person myself i can confirm i’m getting vibes, i think the awkwardness and not-fitting-in-ness and not knowing how he’s supposed to feel, along with much of its character arc, definitely supports that. in this essay i will-
They’re all a little autistic honestly😂😂 Although jokes aside, I genuinely think the only person who for sure is on the spectrum is Kaz due to the way he responded to PTSD (developing touch averse behaviors) and didn’t necessarily know how to talk to Inej about his issues without immediately redirecting it to the CK heist at the Church of Barter. Plus, as a kid he developed a hyper fixation of lock picking and other tricks and in the bathroom scene with Inej, (and any other scene in general) his descriptions are a little more sensory than other characters. As for Wylan, I don’t think I need to make a case😅
All the crows are mildly autistic😂😂 Although jokes aside, the only person I genuinely think is definitely on the spectrum is Kaz, and for a number of reasons 1. When he was young, he developed a hyper fixation on lock picking and other tricks he’d see magicians do, and carried them out to be his life’s work 2. The way he dealt with his trauma was developing haphephobia (or other touch averse ways) that is seen commonly in autistic when dealing with these specific issues. (A predominant neurotype might also develop this, it’s just more common among autism) 3. He didn’t know how to talk to close ones about his trauma (Inej) 4. His descriptions throughout the books, and especially during the bathroom scene were extremely sensory, and the particular part when he said something about touching her hair in a certain way really did it for me.❤ Kaz doesn’t have this issue, but Matthias only really shows his inability to read social cues but that’s about it so I think he might just be stuck under a rock. As for Wylan, I don’t think I need to make the case😅😅
