Ive seen The Sword half a dozen times live. I literally cant wait for the day i can come on YT and say that number is a full dozen. EVERY SINGLE TIME i see this band, they are absolutely incredible.
Saw them open for Metallica, they quickly became my new favorite band, it was just an epic wall of sound. They easily held their own against Metallica in a huge stadium.
@@DarylYBubersky it takes a big pair of cohonas to tour with Metallica on their Death Magnetic tour as an unknown fledgling band who only put out 2 albums. I wish I saw that, I'm sure they slayed.

So good live, how I discovered them. In a club in Raleigh NC, Lincoln theater. Just absolutely blew the crowd away. If I remember correctly they were opening for Clutch.
I can't remember they opened for someone I went to see in Raleigh/Durham or Chapel hill. I've found so many great bands that were opening acts. The Sword to me is the perfect blend of Sabbath and Cream, 2 of my favorites.
Thank you for uploading this. This is my favorite Sword live concert. I am kicking myself every day for not seeing their Apocryphon tour. I must have watched this concert on Vimeo a dozen times at least. I caught them on the Used Future tour, but it was a much more mellow show. I heard there was crazy shit happening at the Apocryphon show crowdsurfing moshing. Wish they recorded this as a live CD/DVD release coz their playing here is just so tight. Plus the setlist is just spectacular. Thank you so much again.
Welcome to stoner rock my friend. These guys are awesome but the ones carrying the flag for Sabbath are Sleep and Electric Wizard. Plenty of bands out there praising Iommi. Black Rainbows, Wo Fat, Sasquatch, Lo-pan, Freedom Hawk, Fu Manchu, Green Lung, Stoner, and Low Rider are some other great bands too! Check them out
@@bandhunter21 I think they're carrying the torch in my opinion. But sleep has been holding that torch for years!🙏 Not 💯 Stoner rock but a couple other great ones are Acid Bath and Kyuss.
Found these guys randomly last year by an album finishing on tidal and tidal continuing to play songs recommended that are like said album (I want to say it was permission to land by The Darkness) and I’m just so happy it happened because this is becoming one of my favorite bands
Dammit, these guys are so fucking kick ass, and their live sound at this concert is terrible. Their tight ass record label needs to come off of some chedder and get these guys a sound system as awesome as the band!!!
I’ve only listened to the first track so far, but initially the vocals are too dry and probably too high in the mix. You can hear later though, somebody has turned up the reverb and delay for the vocals-it makes a big difference. The delay level seems to fluctuate. I don’t know if that is intentional or somebody trying to dial it in on the fly.
One of the best live bands I’ve had the privilege of seeing… many times.
I saw them open for Clutch… blown away.
I saw them for the first time with Clutch and Motörhead and they blew everyone off the stage. No question, the best live band I’ve seen.

Discovered this band by accident 3 months ago they have become one of my favourite bands. Addictive music. Pity they disbanded 😢

I saw that show two nights in a row, in different cities. I love Clutch, don’t get me wrong. The Sword was on a mission.

Beyond pretenses, this band would denounce the apparent order and paradoxes of an insensitive world ? Terrible as an army with banners🙂
