@Delana Taylor Online That is absolutely correct. Most people aren't aware of the other costs that are required to start a store. Technically, woo commerce is free but you need other things to sell effectively
@Delana Taylor Online There are many shades of gray with the word free which is why it needed to be explained. Woo commerce is free but it takes money to run a woocommerce store. Best of luck to you
Thanks for letting me know I'm not ready for a technical store yet lol 😅 But overall, very valuable information that I'm grateful to watch! Thank you! May God bless you and your family 🙏
Graphic design can be free because Gimp is free and open source. It takes time though, but who would start an ecommerce without knowing basic graphic design while also being unwilling to learn? For a program, it is like $15 per month, but you will only need it if you are designing the products yourself
For building a store you don't need to have products right of the bat. You can upload some pictures and fake products to test how the website works first. And it depends on what you want to sell. If you wanna sell Print on Demand or Dropshipping products, then you Don't need to have them in your house, ship them yourself, etc. But if you make your own products, hand-made stuff, or you're buying from a wholesale supplier to retail, then you need to have the info of the products, pictures, etc. And you'll need to ship them yourself.
What do u mean by not having products? If you plan to make products according to the buyer's description, then you can post it as services that people can buy in your website... of course, showing off some already made products may increase your sales. But if you wanna do Dropshipping you can. Just post the products in your website, buy them from the provider once the order in your store has been placed, etc.
It's $200 because they bought products from a wholesale supplier to sell on the store. But you can literally start with $3 - $5, if you're selling digital products, Dropshipping, or Print on Demand. Don't get discouraged, just try it! 👍
Honestly, $200 is a steal. If you hire someone to build an ecommerce site for you, it can go up to $10,000+ very fast depending on what you need it to do and how it's being built. If you're looking at building a store, it should be making that $200 back for you very quickly.
@@cc_snipergirl Exactly, you will be making that money back fast if u succeed. But for someone just starting in ecommerce, opening a store with the lowest money possible is the best cuz after all, they don't know if the products will sell... so it's better not to waste a lot of money when you're not sure or still experimenting. Having the option to start small is so good 😄

How do you get a domain name for free (10m40 mark) ?
Can woocommerce do subscription? Or is there a plugin/app that can and use with woocommerce?
Thanks in advance
there are MANY such plugins, even free ones, not just one
Very helpful!
fine video but not really "ugly truth" about woocommerce!
is this still valid in 2023 or have your changed some viewpoints in this video
This is cheaper than Etsy
When he said $200 he lost me, that's too expensive. LOL
But that's on the higher end, it can be as low as $3

Just borrow the money from your kids. 😅
Answer is not on video.
The answer is not black and white. It's like asking me how much Shopify costs. It all depends on the plugins
@@mywifequitherjob exactly, the less plug-ins you need, the cheaper.
why take so long to explain.. get to the prices!!.. such a waste of time
