Det sjukaste är att jag har haft vänner som sagt till mig, prata svenska... Det är läskigt när 60 plusare är den grupp som förstår en bäst... i Göingebygden... Självfallet Listerlänningar förstår också... men när Sydsmålänningar har mer gemensamt med en än resterande försvenskade Skåne, då är det illa.
Jag började första klass med att gå till talpedagog så att jag kunde lära mig prata svenska... För tydligen om r inte finns i ens uttal så förstår inte folk en.
Smålänningarna hade rätt, jag kan inte säga ähw.. men det är inte konstigt när det inte är ett fonem.. [ɹ] finns inte i riktig skånska... [ʀ], [ʁ] och [ʁ̞] finns dock.

As a Norwegian it's not lost on me that all the most raggare stereotypes seem to cluster in western Sweden, including the former Norwegian areas. And yes it's accurate on the other side of the border too.

I'm a foreigner in Finland still learning the culture and we got visited by some fellas from Norrbotten a couple of weeks ago, my stepfather told me before they arrived, "this guys are not like the regular Swedes they more Finnish like" oh boy he wasn't wrong at all, Swedes near Stockholm and the surrounding areas can be obnoxious as hell and they talk a lot but this guys were more reserved which is great since i'm an introvert and they share the same dry humor, that's pretty much what i could notice.
Hm, if Finnish humour is drier than Stockholmish, and Göteborg's famously is soaking wet, Danish and god help us London's must be absolutely aquatic. But Murmansk area like freeze-dried Atacama sand.
(I moved from Stockholm to Skåne, so now I'm intolerable AND intolerant.)

There is a house with American flags hanging everywhere, even tough he's not American. Old American cars are also very common
American 50’s culture and car culture is obsessed over in not only Dalsland but pretty much anywhere in the swedish countryside. We call them ”raggare” and they typically live in small town communities where oppertunities are sparse, so the car becomes their life.

The Hälsingland one is at Avholmsberget in Friggesund. It is absolutely the most beatiful place I know.
I am from Västergötland and my grandma, who was (and is) a massive Elvis fan and went on to work as a hotel cleaner and then later on went on to work for a swedish Elvis museum, I can confirm she actually sold confederate flags in that very museum thinking they were Texas flags. (Elvis is from mississipi btw) (She showed me a picture of her selling confederate flags and I had to point out those were not texas flags. She is a communist so naturally she wouldnt be selling confederate flags knowing what they were)

As a guy from Västergötland, I can say that this is 66% accurate because the music used for Sjuhärad (and Västergötland 1) is made by guys from Lischöping (Spelled "Lidköping") in Skaraborg.

The song used for Jämtland is not in (standard) Swedish. It's Jämtska, which I would argue is a different language altogether. Härjedalen song is in standard Swedish tho, where you can hear the slight Norwegian sounding dialect.

@@GL-iy7mj I agree. Jamska or "Jämtska," according to Sweden, is classified as a dialect. However, it is just as distinct as Swedish and Norwegian, which are considered separate languages. Either Jamska should be recognized as a language, or the Scandinavian languages should be acknowledged as dialects of each other.
@@Ericsson2002 This is also the case with Elfdalian, even with pressure coming from EU to recognize it as a language. I suppose Sweden is just really bad at recognizing languages because I genuinely don't see why we shouldn't.

As someone who lives in SMÅLAND i can indeed confirm that yeah, it's pretty accurate- we're known for having a lot of old red houses with those exact fences in certain places.
